Hey Alek, you are in. Due to a mixup in my end, you hadn't been copied in the previous PM's.

EDIT: Darmok: I am sure I speak for the rest of us - Thank you sincerely!

Fantastic idea! Very exciting. I've thought about variations on this idea a few times myself. There have already been the first steps towards something like this, with diplomatic relations formed between some of the CJs here on Simtrop. Those that develop their regions into statelets, instead of just counties or metropolitan areas, naturally begin to seek a place for their statelet in the community of nations.

There was also a thread a while back about combining regions into a nation, with a sort of federal system agreed to by all the players, but the scheme you guys are proposing is much easier.

I imagine you will have to give yourselves some time to work out any bugs before you can think about admitting new members but please announce if others can join. I, for one, would be very interested in this.

Some questions - How will you handle the presentation of this CJ? Will it be one CJ in which every player makes individual updates of his or her region and they are all shown in the same thread, or will each region be its own CJ, with links to the others? If all the regions will be presented in the same CJ, how will you agree on who updates what, when?

This will probably be only one CJ, meaning that each one of us will make an update of his/her region in the same CJ,and each in his/her turn. There is still a lot of preparation to do for this. A lot!!, before we can actually start.
The regions have to be fitted not only in size but also in geography, (at least the best we can), then it has to be figured out how we all are going to update, not that one updates three or fourtimes a week while the others don't or can't. There must be a limit and a time schedule for each of us.
Anyway, as I said before, I will let you folks do the research and the actual planning and organization for the moment, until I find the time to join in full time. But I will once in awhile drop in and say what I think about your decisions. Sounds good?...Great!2.gif

Wow, sounds like quiet a project! Not really an all-star cast of journalers but should be very good anyways. Can't wait to see how this starts and hopefully it won't end too soon!

Sc4_cewl Not really an all-star cast of journalers

i have to defend mrbisonm as being one of the few true all-star journalers ever
and Mickebear's cj is one of the best out there right now.

Alright guys, I don't have time to comment at all this time - family weekend approaches. I will only be able to comment on Monday morning.

Last night my friend Fredval finally annouced to accept the invitation, he would be the 9th player.
As most people seem to agree on Croatian coast, and because we are more players, here is a suggestion on the multiregion layout. Map certainly not to scale, but who cares, this is a game anyways. Yes, you can see that there are actually 11 regions. If you want to let 2 others in, that is fine with me. But there must be of course an unanimous decision here 2.gif

So here is one suggestion - if you want, please post here your suggestion - and once the decision has been made, somebody has to do 9 - 12 regional maps. Volunteers, anyone?

    Questions and comments from Fredval:

    • The only question that I have is, once we all share borders on our respective map, how do you intend to have a road or highway link two different regions ?  It's one of the most complicated points according to me.

Please think about this, and post on the thread. I won't have internet connection after I have posted this message.

    Good weekend for everyone!
