Alright, for me the choice is difficult, because both SIMMANIA and Kumba have given good demonstrations of their work. I am however heading towards SIMMANIA, because - eventhough building a European city is one of our goals - he has made impressive work with his Daytona Canyon, with an eye to detail, which you seldom see. So, my vote goes to SIMMANIA now. Kumba, don't be disappointed: if there are openings in the team, you'll be contacted.

    Best wishes to both

mm well I am not still convinced by one of them.. I lean towards no one.. very difficult.. bu when we choose one of you you should know that the other will be our number 1 reserve player.. maybe if someone drops out (vene maybe before we will really start)

Kumba about the harsh comments.. were is a waterfront, how did the city historical developed, why are their such big gaps in your city, were is life, an for what will the tourist flock to this town?// (maybe to harsh but this is what you wanted and were did you get those nice small medditerranean style houses from?

And some pics (first 2: thanks GoogleEarth) maybe you can also look for inspiration to Libanon..then we can also have one or two nations with some skiresorts..Other nations for inspiration; Malta / Cyprus / Croatia / Italy / Slovenia / Spain / Portugal / Greece / Mediterranean Turkey etc....

    petriknl,

Thanks for your comments and question, they have helped me tremenously.

The waterfront is at the beach, whcih isn't seen in the picture, i shall post one

    Gaea Beach

     <ahttp://www.rctd.ft6.com/uploads/BeachO12.JPG align=baseline>

The city history started as a small resort city that was established on top of the hill taking advantage of the white sand beach below, eventually many people moved to the city because they loved the beach and living on the ocean. Thus the city grew. In 1851, the emperor loved to attend italian operas, but the problem was that he disliked wasting his time on the train trip back and forth between cities so he decided to establish his own opera house in his city, making his commune shorter and promised it to be the best opera house in the region which is today.

The big gaps, I'm not sure what you are referring to, but if you mean the space in the middle of the buildings, then its for people from that block to gather and just to chill out with each other. I must admit that the corner buildings wasnt to my liking, but it had to do until I could convert a corner building to a ploppable. I havent been able to get one to grow.

Also the tourist will flock here for the opera house performaces, and to tan in the sun on the top 20 beach, Gaea Beach, in the region, also some attraction while the tourists are there is the White Swan Paddleboats, and of course the, Flamingo Night Club. Please remember this is a small city which will not attract huge number of tourist, just a few because of the city size.

If you have any, ANY, advice to me how to build a better croatia city, please feel free to tell me, Im open to any changes.

    Thanks.

Yea, I had problems with those, I wanted to use those, but they arent ploppable, which made me use the paris corners. It would be great if someone made it ploppable.

    Hello you guys
Have you seen how many viewers you have for this thread, you have long past the 1000 and closing on 2000, that I find amazing for a CJ that hasn't actually started yet.
I am of course missing your CJ's at the moment since a few of my favourite writers are busy with this project.
Hope to see you getting started soon and again best of luck.

About the voting, congratulations to SIMMANIA, now the team is complete with 11 members. I will post more later today, with the complete list of players, and next phase, which is to decide on who wants which region map to play.

I am also so happy for that Tijn21 agreed to make the map. I am luckily finishing my CJ now, and can start to concentrate fully on this project. I though of putting some lots together for us all to share. If you could do the same, that would be greatly appreciated 1.gif

Patrick, that is a great idea, but of course! Camping areas - I never thought of it. And it is SO Mediterranean... where are all the tourists in our project???

DUH LOL ... there are also some hotels available but the most of them are big american hotels.. altough I love the 'new' artdeco hotels by deadwoods for exapmle but yes campings are so European-tourist like.. just as some small appartementbuildings maybe...

    But for this camping:
    -lots with tents /caravans
    -toiletbuilding
-swimmingpool (mmm what about a simpel municipal swimmingpool...)
    -reception
    -supermarket
    -bar / restaurant
    -paths
    -ehhh... more ideas?

Maybe also some governmental buildings like..a variety in cityhalls (small/big historical/modern), state departements, courthouses, customsoffice, immigrationoffice, state services etc etc.
