That looks very impressive. I'm from the Bay Area, so it should be fun to see what my area looks like in SC4.

its pretty good region, your actual cities aren't great but its a start,

maybe more STEX houses would be great and make it look better.

Very nice use of default maxis RCI. Reminds me of the good old days with an empty plugins folder and no lag 9.gif Good job, keep it up!

Come visit my CJ!

Thanks for all the comments!

Just a little clarification on what I mean by NO RCI PLOPS, 100% grown.

What I mean is:

1) I did NOT PLOP any RCI buildings, instead what I did was encourage through education, transportation, fire, police, and parks that the RCI zones be grown to almost 100% accuracy.

2) My plugins folder is slammed packed with customized content that will and DOES grow along side the MAXIS. If you look in the pictures closer, you WILL see cusomized content that has GROWN along side its Maxis counterpart.

So again, thanks.

More will come soon in an expanded interactive CJ. This CJ is just a trailer tease!

This CJ bows in quiet humbledness of Mexicanboy13's award winning CJ. I am currently at the point where he stopped. I will go beyond, and vow to have a SC4 accurate depiction of the entire SF BAY area.

Considering that I live in SF, this appears to be a very good representation (with the limitations of SC) of the City. The aerial view is incredible! Nice job!

Again thanks for the comments. Actually I do have trash services, thanks for noticing.  These are just early pics. I plan on releasing this CJ by SF districts to get into much more detail. Currently I am wraping up to final design of SE SF: Bernal heights, Portola, Excelsior & St Francis Wood. Probally the first district may be Marina & North Beach to be released. I am hoping for an early Dec release of San Francisco County. Here is an early transportation map.

SFEarlyTransMap.jpg

Red-Highways, Purple-GLR on AVE system. And yes the trans system works on these 12 city/sections for San Francisco City and County that is shown here.

OMG. It is exactly as I remember it. My girlfriend's from the area. Plus, how did you make the Bay Bridge so diagonal. What did you do, to do that? it is awesome!!!!!

tgcela: Basically the very first satelite image is roughly the area that I am covering. Southward I am just barely out of range for the SF airport. Map ends in San Mateo County Just in between South San Fran and the airport. Northward it ends basically on what the Sat-pic shows. Eastward we got the entire city of Oakland.

I have actually printed out the Official SF zoning maps and am exclusively using those for the zoning. OMG it is hard to translate those special districts of Chinatown, SOMA, Mission Bay redevelopment and Hunter's Point redevelopment.

The diagonal bridge is real but I built an elevated highway on a piece of land that I have jutted half way to Treasure Island, then I built a real SC4 bridge for water traffic, then jutted another land bridge off of Treasure Island. Later when I "officially" launch the CJ, I will explain it and other small imperfections. Thanks though!

Its looking very good, I look forward to seeing SF state and also CCSF, where I am going now! Let me know if you need any help about the city or the surrounding counties. Now that there is on avenue GLR you can make the T-Third and the F-Market lines. I was also planning to recreate SF but I just don't have the time. Just get some more custom content and I am sure you can do a great job! How long does it take to lay out the streets like that? This isn't an exact replication right because Muni Metro is not that extensive, but that would be a great system if it was real!

Wow! very impressive work.

San Francisco is a somewhat difficult city to do in SimCity, I know as It's one of the cities I'm recreating. Though, it doesn't seem you're having too many problems with accuracy.

Looking forward to more.

wow, if it takes 4 large tiles just to make san fransisco, just imagine how big a region like dallas or LA would be! and btw your version of san fran looks very accurate! never been there but ive seen maps and pictures, and saw the GTA version of it

San Francisco County -

The City of San Francisco is completed, All citywide districts are 100% done!!!!

National Park areas in the city are still under construction-

1. Golden Gate Park, need to find comparable landmarks.

2. Lake Merced area golf courses, and Lake Merced Recreational area in southwest SF County. Need to get a good golf course kit from STEX, any suggestions.

3. Lincoln Park. Need good comparable landmarks in STEX, does anybody know of any specific ones.

Probally on launch, I will advertise for District Supervisor candidates, from the readers here. I will also probally also advertise for a Muni-Rail Supervisor , a CalTrans Supervisor, and a Parks Supervisor. These supervisors will research the real SF and help me improve in their appointed areas.

Thanks for the interest in this CJ!!!!

Its looking nice but there are some inaccuracys. Firstly the Mission Bay campus is a research extension of UCSF. That means only Medical buildings and dorm, no fields etc. Secondly, SFSU should be more of an expanded campus and also there is no GLR running along Sloat. But if you are not going for 100% accuracy, then it looks pretty good.
