Great start!! You should now to urbanise more around the buildings and it would be perfect!!! Just one thing wrong: to me, the Railway station is not really well located because the railways which cross the streets in a downtown!!!!

Today I will be showing you what i have been working on this last week... Suburbs!!!! I will be showing you the semi-completed district of Oakwood, which is located just north of downtown. Oakwood is a lovely medium wealth neighborhood, located in a prime location with many parks, schools and recreational activitys. Commute times for Oakwood residents is no problem, due to rail lines and highways that pass through the neighborhood. Houses start at 250,000$ and range to 450,000$, but buy quick, houses are selling fast...

    Now for some pictures:

3.1- An early picture of the Oakwood, development has just started...

    31cq9.jpg

3.2- Now a picture of what Oakwood looks like today

    32hq4.jpg

3.3- A small strip mall on the eastside of town...

    33xx1.jpg

3.4- South Oakwood... many parks and churches were constructed in this area

    34br2.jpg

3.5- Morning commuters beat traffic by takeing a train

    35jc9.jpg

    3.6- Northern Oakwood...

    36dr5.jpg

3.7- The Main avenue and train station in Oakwood

    37by7.jpg

    3.8- An overview

    38kq3.jpg

3.9- Development on a new commercial area beggins...

Thats it for this update, hope you enjoyed it and PLEASE COMMENT!!!

Oakwood looks like a nice suburb. I like all the trees you're using. I also like how you split the N-S avenue into one ways on each side of the railroad line.

    Excellent job on the cj.

This really reminds me of the 1st city journal that i ever followed on ST ( forgot it's name...) but it had very well integrated rail networks, a great downtown supported by suburbs with fabulous stripcenters in which the pieces fit together perfectly. I really like where this cj is headed, so...

    Keep up the great work!

I love your downtown, but I think you could make it great with a tad more density. I love your suburbs though.

There is a good combination of green space and development in Oakwood and in your CBD. It's great that you haven't made your downtown into a typical "concrete jungle", but that you left plenty of space for nature and Her beauty, especially on the riverfront. I'm curious to see what you plan to do around DT Ampton.

    Well done so far!

This is a nice start you have here. I hope you stick with it and continue to develop it, there's a lot of open land that is just begging to be creatively built upon. I really like the retaining walls and sunken rail line.
