Welcome All!

This is the first City Showcase I've done in a while.  This will encompass my newest region, which I haven't titled yet.  First up are suggestions for my region.  Here is the first 1/3 of the region that is currently developed.  I will highlight more of the certain regions as I get to it.  Visible population of about 1.27 million.

But until then, enjoy this pretty regional view:

1.1

Maybe a couple of sneek-peeks for yo.

Central Park Area. 1.2

Northern Shore Suburb of Sunderland. 1.3

Cheers, while I put together a reply banner!

Nice use of diagonal streets, I also like how building aren't stacked together so they have nice area around them.

Hey guys thank you all for visiting today!

Geronimo: Thanks for being a returning visitor, it is flattering!

Trevor: And thanks to you too for returning here (despite me linking all of chat like 5 times lol).

Norfrit: thank you very much.  The outer suburbs look a lot like where I live: Northeast Baltimore City.

Blue Sinjid:  Hey there!  Thanks for visiting.  I think we covered that building in chat, but incase anyone else wants to know, it Tomson Tower, by Superstar.  https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=13995&v=1

Duack: The walls areoudn the highways you mean?  I'd follow Jawzz's link there!

(speak of the devil) Jawzz: thanks for helping me out there in my absence, I know I use a lot of old BATs anf foreign ones as well.  Maybe we can both help link anyone else with questions as successfully in the future!

lucky7:  If you are looking for more, then read below, and thanks for stopping by!

Now then, this is the section of my region which I will be showing you pictures.  Don't worry: I'll be covering the eastern potions at a later date!  If there are any specific locations anyone would like close-ups of, I will try my best to provide you with them.  Just send me or post a location you want to be featured!

3.1 Crowded residential section known as Penn-central.

3.2 City Hall and prime real-estate surrounding Capitol Plaza.

There will be more of a montage next update, don't worry!  I don't want to hog the first page with 45 pictures though.

very nicely done. I forgot to check this out after seeing it in chat, but I'm glad I got around to it. Great detailed cities with lots of life and personalty, the night shots look especially nice.

Wonderful job, and hope to see more,

Beautiful city! Everything is very realistically organized and looks fantastic. I particularly like the houses with the trees and the highways with the walls. The green spaces mesh perfectly with the development.

One thing, however, is the picture sizes. Some of them are too big and might be deleted by a mod...

The best way to do it is to edit your posts and you can edit the picture size from there without having to re-upload them to photobucket 4.gif

your cities are great, and i can see they have great variety.

some of your region doesn't look so great but the concept of it and its layout is awesome.

your suburbs and residential areas look freekin awesome with the trees and the highway with the sound barriers are awesome.

    so really well done.

Awesome pictures there! I love the night shots of your skyline. And there's something about the density of your town which just seems to be right. Great job!

I haven't been here in a while, moving out of Baltimore + College = WTH!!!

But I'm still alive and playing, so I thought I'd post some progress now and respond to all your wonderful comments!

    replies.jpg

SimHoTToDDy: Thanks for stopping for a look via chat.  Better late than never.  I know I'm living by that saying ATM in my life!

Trevor: I try to create a balance... lol

Jill: Thx for the info before the Mods chew me out, mich appreciated!

fabsies55: Thanks, I base my highways off of the Baltimore Beltway, so there you go!

PhilsCafe: I like the density balance, I feel medium density is lacking in ST's current Cjs, thank you

Anthony: You are always welcome here my friend, and thak you very much for the compliments!

farmer-alex: Short and simple; I like it thank you!

qinbenjiaren: You can that Brian (Cycledogg) for that! 2.gif

Geronimo: Thanks for being a loyal visitor, and hope you will be back later mate!

So, heres what I'm workin on right now.

Windsor Hills (north end of map)

    WindsorHills-1.jpg

    WindsorMeadows.jpg

    Spore415's R&D Facility Co-op.

    sporeintel.jpg

Far Eastern Side (Eastwood, not on current map)  I'm gonna expand when I'm done.  As you can see, it takes me a lot of time to update because I'm very meticulous with this stuff.

    hillplan.jpg

Down the hill is a large suburb, Eastwood Proper

    Construction in Downtown...

    construction1.jpg

So yes, there will be more.  But first things are first (well that was really redundant eh?) and moving and Rutgers/UMD comes first in my life, for a little while that is! 9.gif

Hey this is really great work you have posted. I want to say that is one of the most densely populated cities I have seen next to myself. I hope to see more of the updates.
