I am looking for a modd that increases the radius of schools and hospitals. I used to have it, but recently did a clean reinstall and can't find it now.

I find myself making more and more artificial islands lately, but achieving those straight lines is a real pain in the neck! Is there a lot I can use that will reliably build up land from plopping it on water much like using streets or roads to level large areas of land? I know some of the nam lots sometimes do this, but it's very hit and miss.

I figured it out right before heading to bed, by the way! I forgot that you could bring up god mode in city mode and that you could in fact raise the terrain to manualy level it the sink it once complete.. saves a lot of blowing up road splotches, too! thanks anyway guys (Insomnia is not helpful for troubleshooting.

Is there any such thing as a freight-only traffic generator? Is it even possible? Or would it only generate automata anyway, and not real traffic?

Or as an alternative, is it possible to create an industrial lot that actually does generate a large amount of freight trucks - without actually provided any (or at least not more than 1 or 2) jobs?

Why: I'm trying to think of some way to perhaps "artificially perpetuate" freight traffic across a region, so it could actually make sense to build a region-wide freight infrastructure. Imagine City A has no rail station. City B does, but has no seaport. City Q does have a seaport. So... trucks leave City A, drop off at the rail station in City B (which has truck blockers on its road neighbor connections), which takes it by rail to the seaport in City Q. Ah... would be nice, and I've always been bummed SC4 had this limitation, but is it possible to "fake it" somehow, beyond simply imagining it? Right now my truck drivers hit the edge of City A, and the last thing they're heard screaming is "Pythagorus was wrong!!!!!" as they plunge into the void.

Apart from the Bobbo BATs (which a contact said he had but has yet to respond) the only thing I'm looking for is power lines above light rails.

I used to despise the new LRT textures because they were so unrealistic to me but now I'm cool with them because I was used to the DART standard but now they TOTALLY resemble Houston's, which is fine to me. But they still lack power line thingies above them (they are powered by these) and was wondering if there was a mod or something that did that.

The Super Demand ordinance has worked for me without problem and I have used the money tree for quite some time. But since my computer isn't the brighest lure in the tackle box in the first place, mabye it outsmarted my computer (congratulations you have a smart computer!) but I really don't know what to say if that won't work.

Press Ctl and X at the same time and a box will appear.

Then type "tastyzots" without the quotes in that box and press enter.

That will make the icons go away.

So i will just ask again, has anyone seen a lot/mod that enables special roads/streets to have ONLY freight truck and pedestrian traffic? im trying to keep cars out of a specific industrial area, but i need the freight trucks to be able to leave, and i dont want to build a rail system, as the industrial area is pretty deep in the city.

Probably the 'Page Flip Bug'... Sometimes the older threads need a few posts on new pages for them to appear. If you want to get to the next page, just find the part in the URL for that forum that says"STARTPAGE=00" and change those numbers ot the page you want to visit.

There are some traffic control lots on the STEX. You might try to search for 'Traffic Control' or 'Urbanlegend'. There should be a few come up. I'm not sure if they do specifically what you want, but you can check them out.

Well, I was mostly referring to PMs...I've sent a few PMs to people who have been online recently but they never responded. (I could post a list of the offenders here, but I'm not a bad person, so I won't).

Atlanta buildings. . .I've found a few but for the most part these are missing. What I'm looking for in particular: Peachtree Center, the 191 Peachtree Tower, the downtown Hilton, Mariott, and Hyatt Regency, the Georgia State Capitol and CNN Center. I've been trying to recreate Atlanta for some time now, and not finding these has frustrated me to the point that I'm just about ready to delete SC4 from my PC! Can anyone PLEASE help?!?!

You need the NAM for those. You can get that here or on the LEX. The NAM also comes with lots of other amazing stuff you won't be able to live without once you get it.

Even though the NAM is a great addtion to the game, those 'suicide lanes' are not included. At one time there was a mod that provided them, but it was removed and will be incorporated into the Network Widening Mod (NWM) that is currently being developed and tested. So we'll just need to wait until it's released.
