Awesome pictures!  Those are some nice looking night shots there.  The small number of skyscrapers in those images looks pretty nice and so do the suburbs.  Can't wait for the next set!

Ugg! I don't know what to do now guys. Looking at the suberbs thread I found a styke that fits me perfectly, and at the same time discovered how horribly unrealistic my suberbs are in this region. I guess I have 4 options.

 

1. Re start this region

2. Restart only the suberbs and hope for the best.

3. Find a new region map that I like and start a new cj

4. continue this journal and try to ignore the problem.

 

Im not sure what to do! What do you guys think? Im sure that if I started on a new region, I could make it better than this one. And I could always come back to this one. I will try to narrow it down, but what would you guys like to see?

Mayortim, I really like your work, I think that at this point in time even though I really like Gotland; it would be in your best interest to start up a new region. It will be hard to let this one go, but just think of how many new ideas you have got since you started this city. You will be so much more knowledgable to make a region 10 times better! This is just my idea I hope it helps you decide.

oI guess that is what I will do. I'm going to start a new region, but if it doesnt work out I can always go back to this one. I really have big plans for my next region though. I was thinking about a massive region that woukd serve as a country. Plus, this region is kinda out of date. Just remember, that when I was planning out Veronas downtown, there was no BAT, and most of the terraforming modds weren't even out! Now I just need a good regin.

Well, It is pretty realistic, but the road layout in all my suberbs is horribly un realistic. I will start work on a new region, but that doesn't mean that I will forget about Gotland. I will play both.

You might know I had the same problem... In Santa Lucia I wasn't satisfied with my downtown, and I got bored with the looks... So I started all over, to improve things, to try out new ideas and to make it even better. After all, it's just a game... and as long as it is fun, and you can feel that starting over is a cool thing to do, why not? Just give it a go. Save your old cities in a different folder, so you can always re-open later.

Well, MayorTim, after 14 pages, three commercial centers, several hundred game acres of suburbs, 415 replies, countless bunnies, and approximately three imploding guys, I'm just going to say that this is quite possibly THE best City Journal I've ever seen, past or present.  Hopefully, this new mystery region will be even better.  Can't wait to finally see it.

I actually think that im going to hold off on a new region. Instead I'm going to work on the Gotland region till I am finished.  The night life series will continue on Monday!
