That was a very nice portrayal of a Japanese urban area. Very realistic (although probably the station would be more of a hub than a terminal, but hey, what do I know?2.gif), I'm really enjoying your cj!

Great city!

If you can, can you give me a link to some of those BATs you used? The BATs look great.

Anyways great job you did in realism in your Japanese cities.

Here comes another update! But first I need to tell you guys some not so good news. This update was supposed to be on Okadama Airport, but the tile won't load! So I'll have to rebuild the airport as my next task, but for now here's more of Sapporo and specifically the Souther Half of the city.

To the south of Sapporo lie the Shikotsu-Toya mountains and some even towering at 5000 feet or 1400 meters. Dense urban housing communities are squished up onto the mountain sides surrounded by highway traffic and the sprawling Wall to Wall Urbanity of Sapporo.

We will first start our journey in this suburban oasis. In this next picture you will traffic on the expressway one of which ferries cars to the New Chitose airport and more traditional housing is found crowded into the hillside:

    upperSapporo.jpg

Further down the road the expressway meets more apartments perched above the tunnels of the expressway:

    SapHardporo-Apr.jpg

An overview of the area will show the true expanse of the Minami Ward:

    Sapporo-Mar.jpg

At Night the Area lights up with the rest of the city and traffic is worse then ever:

    SappoSAPPYYYYro-Apr.jpg

As we make our way closer into the city we will visit the Kitami Broadcasting Company(KBC) and it's major headquarters. The First buidling was built in the late 80s, but recently KBC decided to construct a mega complex designed by Kenzo Tange who is known for very eccentric architecture and it showed when the structure was finally completed in 2002:

    Sappoyuiyrtthgdoro-Apr.jpg

Another view of the complex with a small plaza on the right:

    Sapmamasaymasicaporo-Apr.jpg

Just behind the complex lies Sapporo's very own mega stadium complete with 65,000 seats. The stadium mainly hosts football events but also was apart of the opening ceremonies int he pas winter Olympics in Sapporo:

    Sapfgfdhgdfsbgporo-Apr.jpg

And also close by lies the Sapporo TV Tower. Very similar to the Tokyo Tower and built by the same person resulting in the striking similarity. Built in 1957 the tower has two observation decks and park/plaza area:

    Sapporo-Mar-1.jpg

At night the tower glows and emits a strong beam that circulates the tower and shines on the city blow:

    Sapporo-SAPSAPSAPMar.jpg

Also just next to this area lies Sapporo's traditional nighttime market district. Complete with old fashion clubs and restaurants but not excluding many vendors from selling goods in the markets too. At night the markets light up in anticipation for the evening rush:

Full Night overview of Minami and South Sapporo:

Also I made a little add for Hainan Airlines landing at New Chitose from Beijing on their new A330 craft painted beautifully:

Hope you enjoyed that update! 4.gif

Great! Those highways are pretty good. I like the network. Nice layout. I wonder how does it look from higher more zoomed out levels, maybe region look?

Good ol' Liberty Islands! Someday, I'll repost my old CJ.

Well, now I can save my money. No need to go to japan now. Keep up the excellent work... what I am really looking forward to are the japanese farms and country side.. with the bullet trains flying up and down the countryside.
