This all looks fairly fantastic! I've missed a little bit it seems, but I really enjojed looking over the last couple of days worth of pictures. I like the way you're developing the city. Springside park is really well done! I'm looking forward to whatever comes next!

King Titan: Thanks for the comments, I appreciate the praise.  I hope you are keeping up with the updates.  The last two have just been some photo shopped images.  Enjoy and let me know what you think.

NMUSpidey: Thanks for the comments, I always try to integrate North American into my cities.  After all I've grown up there.

Yeah_Right: Thanks for the comments, I like to show my viewers every aspect of my city.  Nothing I'm trying to hide here.  After all it's a story of my city growing isn't it?

    sc4portugal: Thanks for the comments!

jacqulina: Thanks for the comments, I think we both have a misconception here.  The Revelstoke post is the official newspaper.  I just created a developers newsletter for the last update.

haljackey: Thanks for the comments, I hope you like the last couple photos hopped images! All your imput is highly appreciated.

psander5: Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like my developments and the park.  It did take awhile haha.  Heres the next picture.

    embassysuitestake2wb3.jpg

What I tried to do here is take some sun effects as if you were taking a picture.  Look at the picture closely for some other effects I have put into here.  You'll notice some avenue lights, hotel lights, and parking lot lights.

I will have my next update sometime in the next 24 hours.  As I will say again any comments are appreciated.

    Cheers.

Wow, buddy holy... Very good work! Is it a reconstruction of Revelstoke, BC? I didn't notice any mountainous valleys, or the fact that your version is much more built up, but the Crowsnest Pass tipped me on... But anyway, excellent work I love the small city concept. I'll make a point of favouriting this.

Alright I just decidced to start on Update number four tonight.  Instead of creating a new post why not just edit mt last one.

    revelstokelogowb6.jpg

Schulmanator: Thanks for the comments.  I'm glad you like my signature.  It took a lot of work to photo shop it to my likings.

CKSmooth: Thanks for the comments, however, I just took the name from the city. Revelstoke, BC is much smaller... A comparable city to this would be one in Alberta. Lethbirdge.  By the way I'm really glad you like my City Journal so far.

    UPDATE 4

    revelstoke41rx1.jpg

    revelstoke42qz2.jpg

Since the weather here has been so hot and humid the past couple days some thunderstorms have popped up.  Let's try to grab a photo of some lightning...

    revelstoke425aj2.jpg

The storms still too far away.  The camera just tends to blur...

    revelstoke43fu7.jpg

Let's try again.  It's been about 10 minutes now and the frontal boundary of the storm is right over top of us.

    revelstoke475gx2.jpg

Wow! (loud thunder) That one was close. (loud thunder continues) Let's go inside until the storm passes.

    revelstoke44lx4.jpg

    revelstoke45fp0.jpg

That's it for Update Number 4.  Any comments as always are highly appreciated!!!

    Cheers.

Hello there again man..I am also posting a comment here. I looked at the whose thing again, and really, it is amazing and from what I know and I've seen(on the internet) it looks really Canadian, but you, my Saskatchewanian friend know lots more about that than me of course hehe.

Great work there, I can't wait to see how that airport turns out and all those residential projects come true. Downtown is pretty amazing as well, gotta love it, and it keeps that pure realism feeling. Good one!

    See ya later

Wow! I can tell your region view is going to be astounding once development spreads out! Not that it isn't pretty good as it is!

The lightning idea is a nice touch too.

I'll update another time but for now here's some replies...

    revelstokelogolz4.jpg

anarchy0029: Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like it.

jacqulina: Thanks for the comments, I'll include some more night shots in the next few updates.

CarmineHilton: Thanks for the comments, I hope to see you back again.  It means a lot!

penguin007: Thanks for the comments, I hope you like my next region shot that I post.  It will have some nice additions to it.

asturianu: Thanks for the comments, I know that your work is just as good as mine if not better.  The first residential phase I just completed and now I'm beginning to develop phase two.  Stay tuned for some update.

Amerikaner: Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like my work in CS3.  As well as my region shot.  Keep posted, you won't be let down.

sedimenjerry: Thanks for the comments, I really like your average climate then haha.  Let me know what you think of the next few updates.  Thanks again and I'm proud to hear that this is one of your favourites.

psander5: Thanks for the comments again, keep posted for an updated region photo and some more special effects maybe? haha...

housefish17: Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate the praise you have given me for this CJ.  We all take some time to learn.  What I have found is that the omnibus is a real help.  Also, if you have any questions or concerns PM or email me.  I'll do my best to resolve them.

    revelstoketeaser4am5.jpg

Again, thanks for the comments everyone...even the views but please don't be a lurker.  Let me know what you think.  I'll have the next update by tomorrow evening.

    Cheers.

Very realistic CJ. Nice artwork on some of the pics.

Going by some of your names you must live in Southern alberta or BC ;o)

Once again, there are some very nice pictures in your updates. The photoshopping is top notch, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the region fill up! Is downtown going in by the river? Or perhaps you'll leave it natural? Either way, I'm sure it will be great!

Your city's growing great so far, rusty_777... but one problem: needs more automata, more cars, more buses... otherwise it just feels a little dead, to be honest.

Otherwise, the layout's top-notch. It's good to see the city develop so quickly too.

A slope mod would be good to use too. It'll allow you to make the city even more realistic.

Wow!  Revelstoke is growing at an impressive pace!  I am enjoying your "anti-grid" network as well!  If you throw in some of those smooth curves found in the NAM you can avoid the large amount of smaller turns I noticed in North Revelstoke.

A lot of your photoshop work is simply outstanding!  Just be careful not to overdo it (my eyes watered looking at that blurred picture of the Sheraton Hotel).

Other than that, I am really enjoying your City Journal!  Your region view looks great, and I can see that you are well on your way planning out what it will look like.  That also looks like a good spot for an airport!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

rusty_77, Your city is very impressive, Can you make this city to become a neighbor city for the city of Virgin Shores??, I am sure that you will get oil from Virgin Shores to make you city to grow even more faster and build oil refineries and oil wells on the city limits outside the city.

jutrock: Thanks for the comments, heres update Number 5.  Keep commenting!

TheJerseyDevil73: Thanks for the comments, Its great to see the best City Journal creator commenting on my pictures.  I hope to hear from you again.  Thanks.

hunkske: Thanks for the comments.  I'm glad you really like the layout.  I'm really going for realism here.

NMUSpidey: Thanks for the comments.  The downtown will extend to the valley-side.  Not the river.  For anyone who reads the reply (it may as well be a secret) but development will only lead us to the beginning of the valley.  Trees, golf courses, and other things will be placed there.  I'm glad you like it.

sedimenjerry: Thanks for the comments, the street side mod has helped increase my realism a lot here.  It's a great addition to have!

Shadow_Assassin: Thanks for the comments!  To be honest you are my biggest fan with your creation of cities.  I mean to be honest it's great to finally have you comment on here.  Especially with the great constructive criticism you have given me.  I updated the April NAM to have automata be more frequent ultimately having more cars and realism and I downloaded a slope mod.  I really really hope to hear from you again.  Best regards!

haljackey: Thanks for the comments, I like the grid but for some sections of my cities (ie. downtown core and surrounding areas)  Otherwise it looks fake.  I mean trust me there are a lot of great cities.  Theres a whole debate behind the grids here.  Heres update number 5 and some subtle photoshop effects have been integrated.  Maybe you can spot them and let me know what you think.

supercity124: Thanks for the comments, and looking beyond the newer posts to find this CJ.  Are you being serious about the neighbour situation?

As for the rest of you here is UPDATE 5

Yet again beautiful layouts, and realistic suburbs.. As you said, you're going for realism, and you're good at that! If I may just make one comment, the cathedral looks a bit big compared to the rest of the township - a smaller church would look much nicer imo. The Twin Lakes suburb looks superb! ;o)
