While the world of Therum uses a "Standardized World Credit", each country is permitted to print their own monetary designs.

Here is a sample of the newest 2012 edition of Illium Bank Notes. All new Illium Bank Notes look identical with the exception of the numbers and portrait depicted.

Seen here is the FRONT of the new Illium 50 Credit note. It shows a portrait of Princess Jasmin Sariah IV, who died in the attack on Callia. She was the daughter of Queen Alexis Sariah II, and heir to the throne. Also depicted is the Illium Coat of Arms (watermarked) and the Minister of Treasury's signature and the note's serial number.

Security measures:

Holographic beveled Illium National Symbol in the lower right corner

Watermarked patterns and Illium National Symbol behind the coat of arms.

Note Amount is watermarked on the white strip to the left, and the note amount is heat sensitive and will fade away when held near a heat source.

Seen here is the Back of the new Illium 50 Credit note. Depicted is the Illium Coat of Arms, a watermarked image of the Sariah Palace and the note's serial number.

Security measures:

Holographic beveled note amount

Watermarked patterns and Illium National Symbol behind the coat of arms.

Note Amount is watermarked on the white strip to the right, and the note amount is heat sensitive and will fade away when held near a heat source.

The Illium National Symbol in the lower right corner is actually a microchip. All notes larger than 10 credits are microchipped with the note's serial number and batch number. Each serial number corresponds to a particular batch number that is not shown or released to the public, thus making it impossible to counterfeit. Also not seen is a security thread embedded behind the white strip on the right that, when held to a single-point light source, will show the note amount in numerals spaced with stars.

Heh, thanks. And no, the crash wasn't fatal. Princess Jasmin died on the Callia attack a month prior to the assault and subsequent occupation of Illium City.

I have been working on creating banknotes for the Enieo, common currency of the United Sovereign Nations of the World CJ union (USNW).

Each ambassadorial and full member nation will eventually be represented. For now, here are the first 14 notes:

Very nice. Has an old-time feel to it - for some reason gives me a feel of the old American west.

Watching this thread makes me want to withdraw my nation of the Eurozone and design my own money!

    You should try a redesign!

Well, I don't know that they are all necessarily 'random', as they usually take a lot of thought and time to design, but the game does not use them. They are just to enhance our forum experience by making our regions/unions seem more real.

I'm posting this in the thread :P

The 50 En is the first New Edition En that I made. It took 3-4 days to finish a template of over 70 unique layers. The template is same for all notes, but all notes have a signature colour of it using the colour mask of GIMP 2.8. There are 5 known notes of the En (5, 10, 20, 50 and 100) but I only finished 3 due to time constraints.

Security Features of the En - Front:

    * Eurion Dots - The number of Eurion dots denotes the monetary value; 50 will have 10 sets of Eurions, 20 will have 4 sets of Eurions, you get the idea ;)

*Transparent Areas - Yes, there are transparent ideas on the note. Our clear polymer notes are hard to copy on a printer!

    * Embossed text - Okaiken's notes feature embossed text on some parts of the notes. Additionally, Braille was added on the image for easy support with our visually impaired friends

    * Fibres - Okaiken's currency is unique with security fibres usually found on paper notes, security fibres on polymer notes are a true innovation for the nation

    * Extremely detailed figures - Okaiken has 5 different layers for the portrait only. All of them contributing to a very detailed image that is hard to print on a printer.

    * Second Figure - you might notice it just to the top left of the note, but that is the same exact copy of the main portrait. It contains the negative image of the portrait, which can be corrected when you turn on the black light on top of it.

    * A lot of patterns :P

    * Portrait Watermark (So 3 portraits now)

    * See through text - you should be able to create the Japanese word of 'Okaiken' on the lower right hand area

    * The number 50 on the right is holographed, and so is the building featured on the text.

    * Increasing number size - prevents copying by quick printing.

A commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of San Theodoros in honor of Mexican Hero, Don Miguel Gregorio Antonio Ignacio Hidalgo-Costilla y Gallaga Mandarte Villaseñor, known as Miguel Hidalgo.
