But, New York is older, more historic, and famous than those cities so it has more desirability, which is why it has so many skyscrapers. New York was here ever since the beginning of America!

Long live NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!

New York is not older than Mexico City. Mexico city was settled by Europeans before New York, and if you count the Aztec people, even older than that. One thing is clear though.. both cities are destroyers of the land. Both places are completely unhabitable. Plus the facination over skyscrapers is very irritating. Who cares, most of them are disgusting, especially the praised WTC.

I noticed the recent addition of high park. I can pinpoint the exact spot that my friends and I go every weekend to drink beer in that park at night. A few tips for highway realism: You might want to de-elavate the gardiner once it passes the ex and the same to the DVP, but it doesn't really matter.

I live in Bloor west village so you should have my neighborhood done soon! What area of the city do you live in? ----------------

Hey Dragnet ... you live close by to parkdale ,Ever trek down to Mitzi's for brunch?

You might notice I added the WTC towers and the Sears Tower near the Exhibition...I just wanted to see how they were dwarfed in height my the CN tower <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif>

My Blue Jays Way does have insane traffic.

You may notice on the updated transport map that I added an elevated rail along the median of Spadina Ave.  It's the closest I could simulate the streetcars with their own right-of-way.  They are heavily used (just like in real life)...try catching one during rush hour - don't get trampled!

To sc4ky from Sydney:

There really is a driving range and 9 hole par 3 across Spadina Ave from the Skydome.  It looks a lot better than the abandoned train lands, but eventually the golf will be torn out to provide space for new condos.

I'm in Hamilton too. It would be strange if Simtropolis were 'headquartered' here too. What is the mailing address for this site?

Actually there is a netting around the area, but even if there wasn't, it quite a distance in order to a hit a building.

With the excellent addition of SIMLOONEY2000's BAT created Toronto buildings I have put them in their actual positions in the city:
/idealbb/files/Downtown
They are only landmarks at the moment can anyone (or SIMLOONEY2000) add jobs to them?

Here is a complete profile of every single residential neighbourhood in Toronto, for those who are interested:

Great job with the city! This is by far the most accurate representation of Toronto. I'm actually tempted to build Toronto myself, but I might sacrifice realism for aesthetics, since many of the hi-rises in the city are simply hideous 14.gif.

Can't wait till you build up to Willowdale.

Amazing, but as everyone says, too bad there aren't streetcars. We know there won't be until we can set our bus routes, can you imagine what the streetcar system would be like if you couldn't control the routes. One thing that I wished to see in a sim city game is Collector-Distributor roads. Than you can recreate the 401, but right now, to recreate it, you will have to use Daeley's tricks into building as he calls it multi-highways. But still, amazing recreation, couldn't have done it better myself.

-First Canadian Place
-Scotia Bank Tower
-Commerce Court
-Royal Bank Plaza
-TD/Canada Trust Tower

I agree with the above.

I am not 100% on this, but isn't Melbourne the largest city in the world in Sq. Mileage?

New photo with SIMLOONEY2000's new building:
/idealbb/files/Downtown
The nightlighting effects still aren't working and I think the TD Bank Tower and City Hall are too tall, but other than that they are excellent!

City Hall looks great!! Where'd you get it?

I'm from the Burnhamthorpe Rd./427 area. Can't wait to see what you do with Etobicoke.

Keep up the good work Davez.

427 and Burnamthorpe, eh? Then you'd probably recognize the building in my signature. (Who knows, maybe you live there!)

By the way, Davez, I'm currently working on several Toronto BATs. One of them is the CBC building. I stumbled over the complete construction blueprints for it, so it will be perfectly exact!
