Bienvenue à la zone régionale de Scarborough/

Welcome to the Regional District of Scarborough!

Hello and welcome to Canada’s 25th largest city, Glendale, Ontairo, Canada. Glendale is Canada’s Finest City with a population of 154, 874 people. The regional population is 192, 243. In addition to population, Glendale is one of Canada’s fastest growing cities. The regional district is one of the safest in all of Canada. Glendale is a perfect area to raise a family, and/or to enjoy hundreds of acres of parks and recreational facilities. Glendale is home to the Glendale Bears, a Canadian Football League (CFL) team. They are a five time winner of the Grey Cup. Hockey is also a popular spot. Residents enjoy the National Hockey League (NHL) team, the Glendale Hawks, who have won the Stanley Cup six times. Once again welcome to Glendale, Canada’s Finest City!

(Sorry for the blurry pic. THAT's Pollution for yah!)

Editor’s Note: Once again I welcome you to another GreekMan City Journal. Hopefully this CJ will be a great one. I have put a lot of time into building this region and I hope you enjoy it! I recently bought Photoshop which I shall use in future updates! The other things that I did(while building my city) was watching all 5 Harry Potter movies, Band of Brothers and listen to music on my IPOD (Listen to the Music, RESPECT, and lots of others)The only thing I ask in return is for a lot of comments! I need them to keep me alive! That is much appreciated. As far as BATs go: I have downloaded many BATs. If you see something that you like, tell me. Thank you for reading this and let’s get this CJ up and running.

PS- The next update will be on the history of the regional district. After that I will start posting normal updates. Since this is 2008 and I am in the middle of school, I can’t update daily. I will try to update once a week. The great thing about being in a Catholic school (I am not one if you are wondering) is that we get a lot of days off, so I can try to post of those days!

Thank you for your cooperation,
~Chris a.k.a GM~

And here is a teaser of what's to come!

A rainy day in Downtown Glendale.

(Special thanks to granto93 for this amazing picture)

All Comments are appreciated SO DO IT!  49.gif Please, and hey i did ask politely

Also Happy President's Day!

Small town Canada! Even though I love big metropolitan cities, I"m sure this Scarborough will have its own set of interest points! Looking forward to your next update.

Great to see you start another CJ Greekman. The stastics were done nicely. I just have a few constructive critisms. For one, you probally should've put your table of contents as your first post and your first update/intro second, not a big deal. In the future, make sure to close your menu when taking pictures too. Good luck.

Lovely Downtown, the region looks nice and realistic. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing some more suburban sprawl on the sides of the city, but either way its still a great region. good work 2.gif

ack! i thought i already commented 3.gif

anyways, the downtown is looking pretty nice, a bit too maxis but ill survive. The only problem i see is the region, it doesnt look very ummm natural? if thats the word im looking for. Its very boxy and stuff. I think it should be laid out a bit like a real city would be, with a downtown core and than have it sprawl out in different directions in an uneven pattern. Just look at Google Earth, i guarantee you that there will be no perfectly square or rectangle cities. On the plus side, i do like the fact that you incorporated farms on the outskirts. Not many cities have random wilderness at city limits. Ill be looking out for more! 4.gif

Excellent work GreekMan! Your skillz have really improved 4.gif. I like how you have farms all around your city. And the downtown is so well proportioned! Top notch work here. I've lived in the real Scarborough and I can say yours is better, haha.
