    Hm, I thought you've mentioned modeling stuff in MAX... (ps actually you have said it clearly in the message 3 in this thread)

    Well with GMAX I can't help you, sorry, don't really have any experience with it...

    I was modeling in MAX,but the system is down on the PC i was working on and i have lost all of my files so now i'm using an old PC and gmax,btw here is some of my latest creations

    The apartments look good as well, and they are sorely needed. However, I think the roof doesn't work with the taller version. The smaller one is nearly perfect, and I'd love to see an in-game pic of that model between some Maxis buildings. 4.gif

    T Wrecks: In RL both smaller and taller versions have same looking roofs,thay are communist/socialist apartments and thay all look pretty much the same, but if you have a better suggestion i'm more than happy to listen 4.gif

    btw this is the look of finished Avala,what do you think?

    Seriously, it looks like the entrance to the tower is reached via this ramp... looks a tad odd and will make the lot (no pun intended) a lot larger, but hey- if the building is like this in RL...

    As for the apartments, I didn't know that you modeled them after real buildings. The taller version looked improbable to me, but I guess reality just proved me wrong. 2.gif In this case, I'll just shut up and see how this develops. You're making good progress, so much is for sure. 4.gif

    The entrance is reached via that ramp....i know it look realy odd and as far as i know it's the only tower in the world with the entrance like that(could be wrong) but that's how the tower is in RL(actualy that's how it was and will be in RL, it was destroyed in NATO bombing during Kosovo war and is now being reconstructed) so i didn't wanted to change it by making the entrance to the elevators under the tower

    I have a different idea for the ramp... you could make it a separate prop that overhangs a small and compact lot under the tower and extends into the air. This way, players could terraforma little hill, plop the tower next to it and see where the ramp ends... then they could sculpt the area around the ramp entrance to their liking - and they could even choose how far down and away the ramp will lead before it meets the ground! One player might make a very steep hill right next to the tower so that the ramp disappears in the ground quickly. Another player might prefer a lower hill further away from the tower so that the ramp would lead a few tiles away and a few metres down before it meets solid ground... just a thought.

    Hello to you all. Delija21 you did some really nice work there. Well done.

    I've also made Belgrade region but it is much larger. It is 8x8. That part here presented is, for example in 4 or 6 different cities in my region. I am a totally newbie in this. I've made it only by watching the map and using terrain forming options inside the game. It is too large to take one screen picture now to show it to you. I'll do it tomorrow, and it will be shown then. Please have it in your mind that this is my first ever done region.

    It would be really nice if someone can give me the link to take terrain generator from the net ( just NOT the official simcity4 site ).

    Thanks guys,nice to see you like it,especially because that is my first map....here is some ingamepics of the avala tower but as you can see in pic 2,there is something wrong wtih the ramp....what have i done wrong and how can i fix it? btw the ramp is a separate prop

    It was centered but that's not the problem....the problem are LOD's and it will be fixed tomorow i hope. I'm reconstructing Usce tower once again but this time in MAX....i hope it will look much better then the first time i made it

    Your BATs have improved  since you started.  Is the ramp supposed to connect with the building? If so, maybe you should go to the lot editor again, change the view to one similar to pic 2, and move it in closer. That's all I can think of. Remember, things look different in different perspectives, case in point with your problem.
