Thanks guys for yours suggestions but i did tryed that and it didn't help, but the good news is that i did resolve the error...after many hours of rendering i tryed to press each of the two FSH buttons two times and it worked

Good Lord! And here I thought the block I was working on was big for SC4! I should try some blocks in this more modern style. The antennas were a good call too, I like how busy the roof looks with them up there. Whats the lot size going to be, looks like something insane like 15x4 minimum!

That will be a must-have when it's done. Can't wait for updates

I like. Some nice little touches: the laundry hanging from the balcony, the concrete texture, scattered wall hvacs and the windows look very lively. The objects on the roof are about the only thing that I think doesn't qute make the grade. They seem rather plain and random. I would try eliminating some of them and retexturing a bit so that they don't all look like they have the same coat of paint. Other than that, it looks like another one for my plugins folder.

I love the laundry hanging over the balconies...I'd add a satellite dish on a balcony or two here and there, to mix things up even more. Love the dingy, grimey textures!

Thanks guys,i've been really bussy with RL,work and all that boring stuff...no time to play. As for the BAT, i've changed textures a littlebit, made them little lighter...i think it looks much better now,but i would like to hear what you think before i render it. Here is how it look now,both nite and day view

Evillions: Try to search web for referance pics of what you want to make,and try to make buildings that you really like,taht way you will pay more attention to the BAT and you will enjoy making it more. I love commie buildings and i think that's what i do best...commie stuff. I don't know if you are interessted in commie stuff or any european,but if you need any help just let me know

I think it's looking pretty good. But do you realize that your shadows are in the wrong direction? Everything looks all set except for the roof texture, which I think needs some more work.

The textures are much better now. But as Jason said, the roof texture need a bit more of work, also as some more roof junk.. But I think you've already though about this !

And, I was wondering, is it a recreation of a real department store ? If yes did you based on floor plane ?

Jasoncw: I know about the shadows,but i'm not sure what the problem is....i've installed "let there be light" and after that no matter what view i render the shadows are in that direction. Also there is one more thing, to be able to render the BAT in south view, like it is rendered in pics above i had to rotate the BAT 90 to the left, what i meen is when you look at the BAT in top view the entrance point to the left side of the screen and not down....any idea what the problem is ????

art128: It is a recreation of a RL building,but i didn't use RL dimensions of it. As for the roof, i was thinking to add some stuff to it,as it is in RL but no junk or stuff like that

To fix stuff like that, the quickest and easiest thing to do that fixes most problems, is to select your BAT, go to File>Save Selected. Then start a new scene, merge your building into it, and set up your lighting again.

That looks great delija. I wouldn't add too much roof junk as those socialist buildings acctually don't have too much roof junk. And the texture seems very good IMO after rework.

Well, after going thru some of my pics of the department stores and seeing that roofs on them are completly plain i decided not to add any roof junk, but to make it like i made roof on my first two stores. So here is a final render of the store and my new project...so called "Rockets" , located in ZG, Croatia....windows teture will be changed

I love the new tower! They little stylized things like this that are added to otherwise generic buildings are really cool, yet goofy at the same time. I would use these type of things in a rather high traffic, ornamental area but I would really appreciate a version without the "fins" for more generic applications.

I need to get back to my Pripiat work, I'm feeling out done on that last department store

I was thinking about making one version with and one without the fins but now i've started another projest so the one without the fins will have to wait for now. Grbac80, it would be really cool to see Mamutica in SC4 but the problem is lack of good pictures and lack of time...but you never know...maybe one day i'll take up on that challenge too
