Share with us what your hometown has of most beautiful.

By hometown, I mean the first place you called home (not necessarily the place you were born, or the place you now live).

Each user must name the place and post 1 and only 1 picture of this place.

Please don't post over-sized pictures.

I am from Porto, Portugal.

Although I was born in Tokyo, I'd call SF my home since I've spent my later childhood years here.

I insist on one picture so that people don't get carried away and post page after page of different pictures of the same places. If you want you can post a picture of each of the different places you can call home. It's one picture per location per person. If a person has 3 locations they can post 1 picture of each. Similarly, if 2 different users are from the same city they can each post a picture of that city.

It's just a way to make sure there's no exaggerated clutter, that's all...

Eh, my real hometown is so small nobody has taken a picture of the darn place.  I'll do the next best thing.

Here's Scranton, my place of birth... known mainly for its coal mining past, but everyone today knows it as the city The Office is based in.

My hometown is Casper, Wyoming, USA

It's a medium sized town of about 55,000 known for a huge oil and CBM gas industry.  Honestly, it was a great place to grown up!

    wyoming-casper.jpg

Now I'm a student in Fort Collins, Colorado.  It's pretty much your typical large college town with about 140,000 residents.  I really love it here and plan to stay here even after I finish school.  Def. the coolest town I've ever lived in!

I was born in Washington, DC.

Most people know what it looks like but I think it's pretty so here is a pic:

    photo_lg_washingtondc.jpg

I've lived my whole life in various parts of the suburban sprawl.  Not bad places but I haven't found any cool looking pictures yet.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I was born and still live in a small town in New York, called Clifton Park. My house is in the township of Halfmoon within the town of Clifton Park. Halfmoon got its name from Henry Hudson's ship. Halfmoon is very near the Hudson river.

You can click on the pic for more info and other pics of the town...

Norwich, NY. A small town of about 7,000, biggest city for about an hour, county seat for Chenango County. A really great place to live!

EDIT: Gosh, looking at that picture all the sudden gives me a lot of wonderful memories. It's making me want to cry! 8.gif
