Whoa, you sure know how to top yourself with an update like this. The emphasized shadows in all the pictures look great against the dessert terrain. I like the map and the suburban housing looks great with the golf course. The trees have a scrubby appearence that matches the ground very well aswell. The mid-sized buildings are great touches too.

I really like where you've placed Copper Basin in Arizona. It wouldn't make any sense to have it located in an area where there are no major interstates or highways nearby. Good work on the golf course, I know that they are pretty common around Phoenix, especially Scottsdale. Keep the excellent updates coming!

Very nice golf course you have, fits in beautifully with the red desert, and I never heard of Interstate 19, and what nice proximity to my homeland of Las Vegas lol

Time for another update!  This update will showcase the North Downtown Entertainment District (referred to as the NODOzE District).  There are alot of pictures, hope you enjoy them!

jacqulina -  Doing great, Jacky!  Glad you think I have skills, lol. Thanks for stopping by again!

tomdapom - That's funny!  Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

luker91 - Yeah, I'm pretty sure I stole that off of Caddyshack, oh well!  Thanks for commenting!

Giligone - Thanks, dude!  I had never made a map before, so I thought why not just fool around with a real one?!  Glad you liked the golf course, see you later!

dfnva - Thanks, I'm glad you liked my pics!

Schulmanator - Thank you, I'm really not doing much to the pictures - most of those golf pics I didn't do anything to, except for the night ones.  See ya!

crazyyaya - Thanks, seems like you are liking everything so far!  Hope I can keep you entertained!

KingTitan - Thanks, actually - I have only played golf about 4 times!  lol   Glad you like my pics!

gabry85 - hehe, glad you found it!  Glad you like my golf course,  thanks for commenting!

feliwi - Thanks, though a desert cj was not my idea, there have been many before this one, even red desert cj's!  Glad you like it though!

    Andronicus22 - Thanks for commenting!

ky72x - Thanks, glad you like my placement of the city - I did make up the interstate running from Vegas through Copper Basin to Phoenix.  I felt like one going through the city wasn't enough!  Glad you like my golf course, more updates are coming!

crazyarchitect - Thanks!  Yeah, I made that one up, lol.  Actually there is an Interstate 19 that runs from Phoenix down to Mexico, so I just extended that one on up - and i HAD to have a connection to Vegas!  Thanks for commenting!

panthersimcity4 - Thanks, glad you liked it!

WillG_75 - Thanks for the great compliment!

So good! The mixture of new and old, tall and short buildings really adds realism. Excellent highway interchange zone. 9.gif Lol, Jim Hooker eh. Does he happen to be the prominent businessman who owns said strip club? haha

I really like the night pic! I like how the desert is dark and then all of a sudden you have that bright nightlife. Nice contrast!

Good job! I love the contrast of green grasses to the sudden harshness of the dust bowl. Keep up the good work!

Hopefully water supplies dont run low in the desert city, as is a common thing now a days.

Awesome! I thought Bixel's new stuff looked awesome as a casino when it came out, but you beat me to it. You sure have a nice variety of strip clubs (clubs on the strip). The city is really filling out nicely.

Awsome CJ. I love these US metropolitan based journals. I myself started a western city CJ using the dessert terrain mod, but I never got the time to continue it much past the 1st page. Your CJ is looking like what I wished I could have done to mine. Great stuff! Can't wait until the space around downtown begins to fill in more. I'll be watching.

Great update! I love the gritty, slightly run-down urban feel you have going here. I can just picture in my head all the drug deals and shady business that goes down on hooker lane. 3.gif The mix of new and old is also great. That highway interchange is fantastic. Never thought the old maxis highways could work so well. Really good stuff so far, keep doing what you're doing.

Wow, great region! But its a little small, isn't it? I mean, with a downtown that size, your region would need to be at least 40km x 40km. But it still looks great, and your use of real Interstates adds to the realism!
