Yet another excellent update. The subdivision looks spectacular.

I can't see the images. Whats up with photobucket?

Very nice yet again. Reminds me totally of Arizona. I hope traffic isn't as bad in Copper Basin as it is in Phoenix. Also, personally I think I would rather live in Copper Basin than say Tucson. I lived in Tucson for 6 years and your CJ make me miss Arizona even more.

Very impressive. Wow. I just have one question. Are you using the CAM?

EA CEO calls video games 'boring,' complicated
getdown11 replied to JFman00's topic in City-Building Games
I just don't understand how catering to the lowest common denominator is going to bring innovation to gaming. I believe that catering to the casual market is the reason why gaming is becoming boring. Games have become too hard? What a joke. I have yet to play a game that was so complicated I couldn't understand it. Thats what the manuals are for. Geez. I'm not a member of MENSA or anything but if I can get through Falcon 4 then anyone can. I honestly believe most gamers are looking for a challenge. Thats why we play. If we wanted easy we would still be playing asteroids and pacman. We want to think. We enjoy solving the problems presented to us. Given the technology today I feel gameplay is inherently going to be limited. Innovation I feel is only going to come when we change the way we play games. Plug me into the Matrix I'm ready. -
Nice region. I would like to see a rendition of Savannah Ga. You said southern cities why not good old Savannah. Good luck.

I feel we the community set the bar too high. We knew what we wanted. They chose not to listen. I feel it is a disservice to the SimCity community to not take into account anything we have been ranting for for the past 4 years. I feel this is why so may people have such negative feelings for SCS. This is not the game we were expecting. This is not the game we wanted. Granted we dont have any say in how EA does business but pushing aside maybe a quarter million fans world wide is disappointing. Im not going to bash SCS. Its just this game was not designed with the typical SC4 fan in mind. Did we ask for social energies? No. Did we ask for the ability to create cities based on mood? No. Did we ask for larger control over the societal dynamics in a city? No again. Honestly we wanted SC4 tweaked and upgraded to take advantage to todays technology. We wanted SC5 to be a better looking and more modable SC4 with more transport options and streamlined interface. I personally haven't seen this much dissatisfaction from legendary franchise game ever.

Basically, EA has pushed the economic underpinnings of previous SimCity titles to one side in favour of a more cuddly, 21st century ethos that's no doubt been flavoured by the social micro management of The Sims. There is the problem in a nut shell.

Putin threaten's to aim Missles at Europe
getdown11 replied to BurroDiablo's topic in Current Events
I don't understand why the Russian have their panties all in a wad. Today Bush even invited Russian generals and scientist to come look at the system? Seriously does anyone actually believe the US and Europe would actually try to invade Russia? Lets not forget that the Cold War arms race was what eventually bankrupt Russia in the first place. I have serious doubts that they would really want to travel down that road again. I think this is just Putin trying to keep Russia relevant in todays geopolitical climate. -
Wow very nice. I love the region shot. Cant wait to see more.

How does this relate to global warming?
-
Personally I believe when oil gets to be exponentially expensive in about 50 yrs. this whole global warming thing will begin to fix itself. We may need to build levees around New York City though. Just my uninformed $.02

Great region shot. Cant wait to see more.
