I have something here which is very small...  no, not that...   it's this update.  geez perv!

jrhnemo - thanks, i'm glad you like watching it get larger.  lol

football_fever - that's pretty ironic!  I'm not sure if I will leave that space empty or not, we'll see what happens!  thanks for commenting!

    *****atoo-210893 - sorry dude, I fixed it.

suplado! - thanks!  I haven't had too many close-ups so far, but that will change.

Here are a few more pics...

Pic 4.1 - Current daytime view of the city, as you can see it is starting to grow and the downtown skyline has changed some...

    4up1-2.jpg

Pic 4.2 - This Eckerd drug store is located at an intersection known as "Vagrant corner", named after the first mayor of Copper Basin - Jim Vagrant.  hehehe

    4up2-2.jpg

Pic 4.3 - Here is a look at the A-hole apartments, referred to as that because there is always some A-hole standing outside asking for money...

    4up3-2.jpg

Pic 4.4 - night view of the city...

    4up4-2.jpg

that's all for now, there will be more close-ups later!

For some reason, the contrast between the desert and the skyscrapers are amazing. I don't know, I like how the Downtown isn't overlooking a river or a body of water...very good. And I like how not every single space isn't skyscraper.

Wow.  I'm impressed.  You have an excellent mix of buildings, transit, and eyecandy, which makes your city look realistic and alive.  All I have to say is keep up the fantastic work and I will be following your updates.

Having just come from Vegas to celebrate New Years, I agree that Copper Basin does resemble Sin City, but with a bit of Dubai added (green parks next to desert).  I find that really interesting, its quite neat!

Thanks. And let me just say wow! What a nice update, the third picture especially really has something, I like your choice of buildings. Looks like this is becoming an awesome looking city and I really can't wait to see what you do with it.

The highway system just looks fantastic by the way, If you filled it out with suburbs I'd almost compare this to one of Aleking's cities in a desert (and that's a massive complement).

I'm glad to see you are back CJing here 9.gif. I wonder if there'll be any drunken rampages in vagrant corner, hehe. Keep up the amazing work here!

Great job on this cj, you've made an some interesting highway system, particuarly the junctions near the two parks. For a mid sized city it sure has alot of sports stadiums lol. It does remind me of vagas too, it's got a great dessert and green cityscape. I hope too see more of this.

This is not a real update but more of a "teaser", I decided to try editing a pic for a change:

Here is my biggest update yet!  I have started working on some suburbs, and have made more minor changes to downtown.

Markus J - Thanks, alot of people are saying that.  I guess it resembles it a little, minus the casinos!

jrone3 - thank you!  There actually is a little river running next to downtown, but it is very small.  Thanks for commenting!

haljackey - Thanks, I'm glad you like it so far!  If you are going to be following my updates, I will try to keep you entertained!

*****atoo-210893 - Thank you, I love using your buildings - so it's no wonder you like my choice of them!  I'm glad you like my highway system, and I am starting to fill out the suburbs now, and I do take you comparing my work to Aleking's as a big compliment!  Thanks again!

Giligone - Thanks, I'm glad you like what I'm doing, and yes there will be drunken rampages - maybe not at Vagrant Corner, but somewhere!

dralin321 - Thank you, glad you enjoy!

crazyyaya - Thank you, the city won't end up mid-sized - so I think I will be okay with the stadiums, I just jumped the gun building them!  See you later then!

Mike the Mayor - thanks Mike!

jacqulina - Thanks Jacky, glad you are liking it so far!

    gabry85 - Thank you!

patfirefghtr - Thanks, there will be much more for you to check!

bbfan02 - Thanks, I will keep up the good work!

Giligone - Thanks, it's ironic you said that about the iced tea, I just had one at PF Changs, delicious!

So here are the long awaited pics:

Pic 6.1 - Current downtown aerial shot:

    6up1-1.jpg

Pic 6.2 - An Exxon station, with a brand new Pink Taco restaurant behind it.  The employees are working hard to get the pink tacos nice and juicy for the grand opening:

Pic 6.3 - same pic at night:

    6up3-1.jpg

Pic 6.4 - A 24 hour ShopKo and a Denny's, serving late night drunks for over 30 years:

I like the big city surrounded by desert, kind of like an oasis (probably true of how real desert cities look, though I've never seen one in real life). I also like how you're developing the suburbs.

Are the cacti downloadable from the stex?

Nice job on the custom lots. The Exxon station and the dealerships look particularly nice and detailed with the additional props. But why is there a Citroen showroom at a Nissan dealer? 3.gif

That downtown was done well, it looks very realistic. The layout of the freeways and main thoroughfares, along with the roads, is also quite realistic. It's going to be very interesting to see how the whole area is developed! Keep up the excellent work, I can't wait for more.

That is one of the best downtowns I've ever seen. Its big, and tall, but it just feels right. haha. I like how it cascades down into smaller buildings and then suburbs right away, just like a sunbelt city. 4.gif I look forward to those drunken rampages as well. I'll be wary of Denny's at night, thanks for the tip. haha

Suburb trees are a little dense for a desert region. They tend to be more spread out. Still, your downtown looks excellent, and you've got a great highrise to midrise transition that really adds to the feel of it. Good work!

Hey, here is a preview of my next update - which will focus on the new development along Rimjob Boulevard.  That area has grown quickly once people heard there was such a place.

Pic 7.1 - Everyone wants to use the drive-thru at McDonalds, yet no one does at Taco Bell.  I guess they need quick access to a restroom when they get their "runs" at the border:

    preview7.jpg

Coming up on the next update: suburbs featuring Wal-Mart, Chili's, UKrops, loads of housing, and much more - don't miss it!

Wow that's awesome, I live in Phoenix and it looks so much like it! Except maybe the british-style homes and all of the skyscrapers, but that's what makes your city so unique.

LMAO, Pink Taco, is that from the daily show?
