It's always good to know the city isn't wasting a bunch of money on a bunch of empty freeways and rails (lol).

Schulmanator:  LOL!  Hens do have teeth!  Thanks for the comment!

edmonton_stinks:  Yep, transit is a big factor in infrastructure planning.  And yes, if you read the  first post in this CJ, you will know that The Greater Terran Region is very eco-friendly!  No dirty industry here, and very limited other industry as well.

hamish: Yes it is.  Glad you liked the transit!

mightygoose: I did it just for you!  Don't you worry, the transportation infrastructure is heavily used in the Greater Terran Region!

jacqulina: That's great!  Glad you enjoyed the update!

Smarty218:  You had doubts?  Glad I can prove you wrong 3.gif

kj3400:  Don't worry, its money well spent.  In Real life, one the busiest intersections in my city collapsed a few months ago into a giant sinkhole that took forever to fill in!  I hope they learn from their mistakes and look at this CJ!

Godzillaman: They have to be!  No room for a 401 in this city!  But rest assured, a major, major highway is coming....

    Update time!

Just another transit query update this time.  This update will concentrate on volumes rather than pathing.

    Picture Information:

    NOTICE:  Please Read!

Before I post some pictures of my cities, please know that I strive for the best quality of my images possible.  Every picture from here on-in is not photoshopped in any way, and is taken directly from the game to show you exactly what I see in the game.  The only editing done is converting the .PNG file to .JPEG.

***IMPORTANT***    Also, please know that my pictures are COMPRESSED, and are NOT RESIZED! When you resize a picture, a ton of the image's quality is lost, and is shrunk to comply with ST's picture size limits.  Compressing the image retains the quality, but looks terrible when squeezed to comply with site limits.

But, I have found a loophole in this problem.  Each compressed picture displayed will be linked to the actual uncompressed, true image.  All you have to do to view the image in its FULL RESOLUTION (1440x900) is to simply click on the compressed image displayed in this city journal (800x500).  The reason that the images are not 800x600 is because I present my pictures in widescreen (16:10 aspect ratio), making the image much more appealing for the human eye's stereoscopic vision.

If you have any questions or comments about how I display my images, feel free to post a reply.

The Mighty Mouth Bridge is one of the busiest arteries in the city.  The stats you see (nearly 30,000) is just for the morning commute.  Also, take into account busy ferry and subway lines that cross the mouth as well.

Residents use the local highway network to get to their jobs too!  It isn't just mass-transit!

    Update time!

Heading out of Mighty Mouth for this update.  I haven't had a lot of time on my hands lately, but I do have a bunch of pictures stockpiled to make another Interchange Update for Downtown.

Super Avenue. That's an interesting way to increase capacity and save room for a freeway while not spending a lot. I should try that for my overcongested city. Excellent as usual.

-About the one-way dead ends, that is the only way (currently) to connect a one-way road to a ground highway.  Don't worry, it doesn't affect pathing, just looks bad.

dfnva:  Thanks!  Glad you like the side-by-side avenues!

Schulmanator:  That it is.  And yes, it is actually a bullet train!  (refer to the introduction for more information)

kj3400:  Well, I guess so 3.gif.  Thanks, and go ahead and try it out if you'd like!

Smarty218:  Thanks!  Thanks for letting me know about the skyscrapers, and I'm glad you like the interchanges!

jacqulina:  Thanks!  Glad you are enjoying it!

    Update time!

I have a new video to show you!  I did some experimenting and testing this time, and I think I came up with something that would please everyone!

-Run time is about 4:00.  Not too short, not too long

-Speed is set to fast forward, so I don't bore you!

-The sound works this time!  I hope you enjoy the music!

-A low-quality video has been uploaded to Youtube and posted here.

-A high-quality video is linked to this post.  Just click on the file and it should play on your default media player.

A Youtube video box should appear below.  If you can't see it or are having problems, follow the link below it.  Make sure you turn up your speakers!

It gets a little crazy on the bridge and near the ending, just so you know 3.gif

Wow that was awsome and I lol'd when you were firing turrets into the water while you were on the bridge! Music was an excellent choice and flowed well for a tank and your highways seem to go forever... thats a big city!  I'd be encouraged to host my videos on youtube but alot of them go over 10 minutes 15.gif - I might give it a shot anyway though.. ..

What video recorder were you using? I like how you were able to fast forward... does that save you on file size?
