It just snowed for the first time in Minneapolis-St.Paul this year about an hour ago 3.gif. It was nice to see it. Tomorrow we'll struggle to reach the 40's (4 C) and our night temps will drop to around 24 F ( -4 C). WEEE!!

Yep, its been pretty cold... Trees look nice though (plently of Forests where I live)... I don't have central heating in my house, just an electric Fire in the living room... I sit next to it wich is nice, because when it gets REALLY cold during Jan and Feb I can just lean over and switch it on 4.gif

I hate days that have a high of 5, and a low of -5. However, thats what we are experiencing in southwestern Ontario right now!

Did I mention that every day for the rest of the week is forcasted to be rainy and windy? Gloomy...

today was actually the first day lower than 76F since early spring, it was 69-70F today, chilly for me 3.gif i really like this season though, so nice and sunny outside, not a cloud in the sky. florida's winters are also really comfortable. the sun rises earlier so school doesn't seem to start on the middle of the night, but actually in the morning too. [daylights saving started yesterday for me] no snow or rain expected here 9.gif thank god those humid summer days are gone and hurricane season is almost over.

Toronto is very nice now. Shockingly, some of the trees are still green! I've never seen such a late leaf drop in my life. Today is a wee bit chilly, but there should still be some nice days to come. Anyway, it can do what it wants outside. My apartment may be old, but the windows are new and the thermostat goes all the way up to "swelter." 9.gif

Don't you have a heater, GB?

Pretty chilly today, about 49F, but if you think thats cold, you just wait until winter. Usually its about 20F for a high up here in New York (State) in the winter and plenty of snow because we're right in the snow belt (local term)! We're having lows of around 30F, but never higher that 32F, never lower then like 23F. For now anyway...

As a matter of fact, our first snowfall is scheduled for this week! WOOT!

High of 8 Degrees Celsius.  My cosmos and nasturtiums are still blooming.  The mums have quit.

Well Illinois weather is insane. 2 days ago it was almost 90 degrees F, and the high for tomorrow is only 40 F. With a nighttime high of only 27 F, below freezing!

It's c c coold and r rr rainging.  Worst mix of the two.  My room is also closely matched to the oudside temperature, expecially at night when it's cold... and three heavy quilts aren't enough.

Well, it is not raining but it sure is cold. After work today(I didnt have school today) I fell sick quickly. I just took a 2 hour nap in my freezer-box of a room. I was shivering the whole time. I think I was even shivering while I was sleeping. 3.gif

Maybe I'll get a day off...? 48.gif

For where I am, it's cold. I won't get into it. There's the possibility of snow here in December. So cold then . . .

It hit 82 F today, and most of my tropical plants are still blooming. A "Cold" front is coming tomorrow, which will make the high drop to a chilly 68F. 3.gif

And frankly, I'll take a mild winter and hot summers over mild summers, and cold winters. I can't stand seeing things dead and grey for long periods; I like stuff green. 3.gif

-7 tonight...5 tomorrow I think...

I despise November, depressing and cold.  And dry.  ARGH.

Glad to see we all hate winter.

I'd normally be welcoming the winter temperatures, especially since it was unseasonably warm throughout most of October... but I've been sick since yesterday. Luckily, I think it's just a 24-hour thing so I'll be up and running tomorrow... bundled up.

Not winter yet. Still several weeks to go, sorry. 2.gif

Though New York has seen some weird behavior. Basically the weather decided to keep pretending it was still summer through most of October, and then at the very end suddenly drop off into more season-appropriate temperatures. We had trees still covered in mostly green leaves on Halloween.

And it's not just now, this stuff has been going on for a while. Last winter was mostly rather mild, but then the temperature all of a sudden dropped off as spring rolled around. The result? Christmas '06 it was in the 50's. Easter '07 it was below freezing.

Isn't global warming fun?3.gif

I just got back from New York Duke. The leaves were pretty green in the city and in the surrounding burbs like New Rochelle and Pelham, but out by Bedford and Katonah it's gorgeous. Not as much color as normal, but still a lot compared to good old Sacramento. 3.gif

Not that cold here at the minute, though today I think we had North-western (from the artic) so it was pretty cold today, hoping for snow in December also..... 2.gif
