Wow, that collage looks amazing, nice work!

Great to see some farms for a change, lol. 3.gif Anyway the whole area looks great. I liked the trails, especially the one on the very top where the blue vehicle is. Keep it up, I can't wait for more!

Hey, hot dogs!  I don't remember if I've commented in the new eyecandy thread or not... (this is a new one right.....) Ok just making sure lol.  I loved the collage of all the different mosaics you've done, it shows the vast scope of your citybuilding ability.  (Did that make sense?)  Downtowns, beaches, fireworks, mediterranean-style, French W2W, even the Eiffel Tower lol.  But "the countryside" was different, I don't remember you doing anything like that before!  Of course you did it splendidly.  I liked the Mediterranean buildings, lined-up trees, and sleek train at the bottom.

Very nice again! I like the details, and a very nice little surprise of having a modern train right in the bottom corner going through that traditional countryside.

I guess, the only niggle I have about the whole thing is that the tiny house at the top looks kinda out of place... But hey, if that's the biggest problem I can find, then you're doing pretty well. 9.gif

Hey hotdogs, it's cool about London, it took me a million tries to get a good looking UK city. 9.gif

Besides, tuscany is great! My grandfather was italian. And they've got great wines too, and you did a super fantastic job! 44.gif I really like your field layout!

Fantastic job on this, hotdogs. That's a beautifully sculpted area. Great use of those mediterranean BATS. I have a question for you though, do you think you could try and turn your shadows on? When you were doing cities it worked, but I think it would lift your countryside pics from great to awesome. Just a suggestion. 3.gif Keep up the great work!

Ok where do I start. . . Alright.

First point: It's a bit late for this but congratulations on winning the Trixie, an award that should have been given to you last year. You had it going back then and you still do now. Well deserved.

Second: I'm glad that EYECANDY is still running. Good luck and God speed to both the CJ and its creator.

and third: Beautiful rural update. Is this your first rural mosaic? Either way, the fields look great and the old buildings add a nice touch.

All in all; thanks for the great CJ, hotdogs.

A shame I didn't put it earlier in my favourite CJ list. But all those mosaics are just WOOHOO-amazing 9.gif. If that countryside is in France, I think a Tour de France will look amazing there 2.gif.

Koekie

PS. Will you only work on this CJ, or also on San Senderiz and WORLD. You said you need more inspiration for WORLD, is that the same reason San Senderiz hasn't got an update for a time?

Ok, the rolling hills are the most awesome thing I've seen a CJ before, well, possibly the most awesome. I've gotta try that sometime, and I wish I could find some vineyards to put on them. The villas remind me of Napa, where I'm from, So do the vineyards.

Y'know, when I go to other CJs, I can easily write a compliment at how good it is. With this CJ however, it's very difficult because your work is so good, it's nearly undescribable!

I don't regularly read any CJs, but every few months I catch up on some. Eyecandy is definitely my favorite CJ. Everything always looks great and is right to the point. You're also attentive to the architecture and urban planning.

And I like seeing how you use my BATs, lol

Hey, hotdoggydog (ooh...that's the worst nickname I've come up with so far)!

I saw your mosaic, and I didn't even get halfway through before the lyric floated into my mind:

"Oh, beautiful

For spacious skies

For amber waves of grain..."

Simply because that field looks like a literal amber wave of grain 3.gif (and it is, of course, beautiful)!

The SAM textures in this mosaic really give the small town some flair...especially with those trees that line it!  It's exactly what I might expect if I were to travel down the backcountry roads of Italy or France...very nice!  The dirt roads and the rail complete the picture in the best possible way.  Except...would those gantries (that's what they're called?) be over the rail so concentrated in a rural area like that?  I'm not sure, I wouldn't know.  Still, excellent work here!

P. S. We (read: I) miss you over at the pic contest...2.gif
