you have really mastered the art of laying down well beautifully laid roads (lol was that redundant?)

gentle curves (hell even the underpass curves?!) and the sidewalks seamlessly merging with ped mall tiles...ahh CJ orgasmic lol

I thought that this was a teaser! 3.gif

Teaser pic or not, it looks pretty good. Interesting use of the trees on the grass plot right behind the building.

jacqulina: Yes, the little details take a lot of time, but they are definitely well-worth the effort. Thanks, Jacky!

gabry85: Thanks; I like seeing a lot of green in big cities. This update will showcase some new parks I just added.

dfnva: Thanks for your great comment! As for your question, I answered it back with one of my teaser pics on the previous page.

bbfan02: I didn't want all styles of housing to grow in the same spot, so I had to have distinct neighborhoods, which is a helluva lot more difficult to grow! I thank you for commenting!

ky72x (1st post): Yeah, I don't know what I would do without the Lot Editor. I used to do just little things like you mentioned, such as parking lots or some small parks. But then I started re-texturing a lot of the lots I had since I downloaded the sandstone sidewalk mod. And, yes, those garages are made in the lot editor. I try hard to make the mosaics seem seamless 3.gif. It would be nice if there were a lot more of those apartments available, but we gotta make do with what we got, which is plenty, considering the exchanges are free 3.gif! And if you liked the trio of mosaics, I have produced an extra-long mosaic that you'll love! Thanks again for the awesome comment, Kyle!

2nerdy4u (1st post): Yeah, I'd like to change the lots for them, but all my other lot editing is very time-consuming, so I never get around to it 3.gif! I've prepared a huge mosaic for this update, so you'll see exactly how grand this city truly is!

Shingure: The NAM curve texturing can get tricky; if you need more help with it, just PM me and I'll be glad to help. Glad to hear that you're using all of those great lots and mods from SC4D. Thanks for commenting!

haljackey: Thanks, man! The NAM curve pieces are kinda my specialty 16.gif!

ky72x (2nd post): Well, the pics I post are void of any blank spaces because I position the screen so that none are showing. In reality, Aurora is FAR from finished, with more than 50 percent of the land area is still blank. Yeah, the green had to go, but a new skyscraper has arisen from the ashes and will be showcased today!

2nerdy4u (2nd post): Wonder no more; just scroll down and see!

bobinator: Another fan of the roads; thanks, man!

waway625: Nah, it's okay; I understood what you were saying 3.gif! And yes, this CJ is heavenly 11.gif

ky72x (3rd post): Meh, kinda. Thanks again for commenting, Kyle!

    Update 38- Change

Here's the latest update; capped off with another fanschmabulous mosaic!

    Aurora-ModernSkyscrapers.jpg

Aurora has some of the most diverse architecture in the land, as shown here.

    Aurora-RiverPointPark.jpg

Not far from those same skyscrapers is RiverPoint Park, located where the Blackjack and the Jernigan Rivers merge.

Fantastic update. The park is simple and beautiful. Aurora seems very calm and peaceful behind its elegant skyscrapers. That mosaic is unbelievably huge and detailed. The transitions are smooth and flow rather nicely. I like how the city grows as you scroll down. I love the use of parks and greenery throughout the city. Great work.

For some reason this journal seems to grow faster than I can keep up with 2.gif Must be something to do with the great images and city building, I guess! That last update was great - all those different styles of park really make your city unique. Your road layout is also diverse and interesting - really spectacular.

Looks excellent! The mosaic shows lots of diverse styles, love the waterfront park especially! 4.gif

You may want to download crowded lots on the STEX for your parks. Just a little suggestion. 2.gif

Looking beautiful! Of course, when is Aurora not, though? 3.gif

I really like RiverPoint Park. Everything from its clever name (nice names for the two rivers as well) to the return of those nifty patches of grass where the trees can grow are great. Nice job editing that NDEX fountain lot with the grass textures. The back end of the department store looks realistic, thanks to the placement of those lots originally meant for industrial fillers. I tend to use those particular lots quite frequently in other areas as well. They are pretty versatile! I can't wait to see what building will rise from the rubble of the old store. As for the newly built Touaron Tower, I would've said thousands, not hundreds of new jobs. 3.gif I mean, it's one huge skyscraper!  Great pictures of it.

No update like this would be complete without a bang to finish it off, would it? It's no surprise that you'd be the one to create an awesome and epic mosaic like that one to end another excellent series of sharp pictures. Keep up the fantastic lot editing, great city building and stunning mosaics, Dan! 44.gif

What a great CJ, your city is really awesome!

I take some time touring around it, your building skills look impressive to me 1.gif

It's not just the lots you use (many of them I've got and so I recognize), but the way you place them, it seems that you really know which is the right place to build and the right lot to use, being so eyecandy and keeping it fully functional as well.

I also like the way you draw the roads.

With such a structure, even the Maxis Gift Buildings look better.

Great use of canals as well.

    Wonderful parks and marvelous plazas.

Keep up the good work! 44.gif

mightygoose: Yeah, it is great, isn't it? LOL, thanks!

2nerdy4u: Ah I'm glad you picked up on that! I specifically shot that area to give it that effect.

    Patricius Maximus: Thanks!

Benedict: Yeah, I water it everyday. I know, I am great, aren't I? LOL, thanks for the nice comment!

Mike the Mayor: Thanks! I'm guessing you didn't notice the half cut-off car in my mosaic, eh 38.gif?

Schulmanator: Thanks for noticing the awesomeness!

haljackey: Thanks; I'm glad you appreciate them!

jutrock: Well, I have my 2 gig plug-in folder to thank for that. Thanks for commenting!

dfnva: Thanks, Dan. It's getting tougher and tougher to arrange those fillers in different ways now, though.

TheSixCents: I haven't read the beginning of my CJ since I started it, but when I read your comment, I went back through all 25 pages and noticed that things have improved. Thanks for noticing!

gabry85: Thankslace>3.giflace>. I have noticed that the parks aren't as crowded as they should be; I'll remedy that situation ASAP. Thanks for the suggestion!

bbfan02: First time using those walls. I had never noticed them before, but now I'm glad I re-discovered them. Thanks!

Hester: Thanks for commenting; come back again soon!

The Big Z: That's the main reason why I don't like skyscraper jungles; they just feel too claustrophobic. That's why I mix in European-like parks and plazas coupled with Americanized skylines. Don't miss out anymore!

Yay! A new update! Wow, it looks like your city is expecting even more booming development! I can't wait to see this next update! Beautiful mosaic also! One question though, how do you get the red brick to blend with the NAM gentle curves?
