Hello fellows!

It was quite some time since I made a BAT, it has been scool, work, traveling, renovating my new home, work again and other IRL stuff. But now I think it is time for a new BAT and I need Your help to decide what building to make. So I want You to request what building You would like to see. Of course, there are some limitations as follows:

I only accept real-world buildings. Could be existing ones, or demolished/destroyed - as far as anyone remembers what they looked like of course.

I also only accept W2W-buildings - per definiton a building with firewalls to its next neighbours, and with moderate height (20-25 meters tall to the eave at max). NOTE: It does not to be an European building though!

And not to be sitting here forever, and also due to my computer specs, the BAT may not be larger than 9 game tiles (could be a 3x3, 2x4/4x2 or anything smaller).

You need to provide a photo or a photo link. Of course, more photos, satellite pics, drawings and everything else that could be useful would be good to have, but that is not the main point.

The main point is that I need a very interesting building to BAT!!

So how to do? Well just reply to this message with a post including one picture of the building or a picture link. Yes ONE picture, if You have more I will ask for it later if I need. So please think of those 56K´ers and also mind Simtropolis´ 800x600 pixels maximum rule when You post. Also provide some information (as long as You know it) about location, time of erection, architect, funny trivia and so.

Suggestion time ends 9th of September, and the jury is me 1.gif.

Moscow_dorogomilovo_3.jpg Dorogomilovo corner, stalinist corner lot, it is w2w, "Unlike the uniform, tight rows of buildings of Gorky Street, Dorogomilovo road was lined with very different buildings, with wide spaces between them. It was an experimental stretch for Burov, Rosenfeld and other rising architects. These buildings were not as thoroughly engineered as on Tverskaya and wooden ceilings and partitions and wet stucco exteriors eventually led to higher maintenance costs. Yet it is here where the "Stalin's Empire" canon was forged, in its clearest form." wikipedia ----

Well this is what a typical Peranakan house looks like but they come in loads of different styles (this one is in Singapore - you can tell by the bins 17.gif). This picture shows 3 houses by the way. They all have a maximum width because of old laws but they're usually really long (although 2 or 3 game tiles will do if it is 1 tile wide). I don't know where else these are built except for Malaysia and Singapore but I am sure there are many other places where they are built and these would be incredible for creating a small Chinatown!

Geevesy

OK... just to clearify... If Your dear and most beloved and desired W2W building do not have an eave, well then consider the 20-25 meters limit as the total height allowance 2.gif

I have a proposed building, well not "A building exactly" there are lots of Industrial aged buildings in the town near me. BIG-PIT was the worlds most famous mine, and It would make me SOOOOO pleased if anyone was willing to BAT one? as I have asked many a time if people have free time to help me as I Have "NONE-Absolutley-No" idea how to use the BAT as it looks to complicated to me.

If anyone want's to because they can't think of a BAT to do here is the building/areas. Big-Pit Blaenavon... Ironworks Blaenavon... Workmens Hall Blaenavon, and odd one out(I think Simtropolis needs a british "MALL" Shopping centre) Cwmbran Shopping Centre. Thanks for it anyways...4.gif Please contact me if possible IF anyone wants to do one...4.gif4.gif4.gif*

I'd like to see this nice little art-deco piece from downtown Columbus, Ohio. For a long time it was the tallest building between New York and Chicago.  Its called LeVeque Tower. Google images has some good pictures, espeically of the top.

Here's what Odd From Sweden has already uploaded to the STEX.  Try to request things that are along his line of work.

I don't have a specific request, but more American styled rowhouses would be great.  1.gif

This is my suggestion, This is the former Robinson and Cleaver Department Store in Belfast. This store once sold the finest goods in all of Ireland and has customers from shipping magnates, the British and European Royal Families, Emperor and Empress of Germany, the Maharajah of Cooch Behar to the Tsars of Imperial Russia.

It's a fabulous building and a landmark of Belfast

    http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=sydneycentralplaza-sydney-australia

    It's 48m high, but is W2W.

262 Kent St, W2W and about 35m high.

Odd from Sweden is back!  Hooray!

I did some random browsing on Google for architecture in Sweden, as my personal knowledge is lacking outside of the more famous Stockholm landmarks, and this grainy scan from a fansite happened to catch my eye:

    Domus Department Store

    Domus Department Store
    Malmö, Sweden, 1960s

We don't see too much early International Style European Modernism here on the STEX, though Porkissimo has shown that even when gritty they can look awesome.  I even love the vintage cars (not so sure I like the primary-colored square panels decorating the long side, but that was the fashion of the era).  Hmmm, this may actually just be too large for the lot criteria, but it would look good, especially at night!

    Welcome Back!

I don't know if it's exactly your line of work, but it's not too large (world's first skyscraper)

And in a way, yes, it's kind of W2W. But it's an important building (well, was)

The Morrison Hotel as suggested by mightygoose would be awesome, there are some wonderful buildings in Ireland that need to be on the Stex! 4.gif I also like the department store in Belfast.

my suggestion would be the Sunlight Chambers building in Dublin, its a landmark and a highly unusual building in the city.

    Great Thread.

Please make the Project Feelgood building (the SC3KU one NOT the SC4 one) as a throwback from SC3KU. I loved that building; it was one of my favorites in SC3KU. Make it have about three to four thousand R
