I like the way you've done the mosaic, but the colors are wrong. Part of the strength of the original composition of the building was that the mosaic used complementary colors to the glass and the mullion panels. Using a contrasting color just draws attention to the mosaic unnecessarily.

Of course, you've already released and rendered the building, so it's a little too late now.

    Well yes and no...

First of all as you can see the sides of the tower are different in my version compared to the original. So the color that is sort of background of the mosaic in the real building has been replaced with color matching side of the model. apart from that only colors there are shades of red (red granite or marble) and black marble. Of course the very base is sort of white in my case and undetermined muddy (after 40 years of pollution)

Ok, here's the third edition of the lots for BnN... the "SimGoober Edition" (left) has been  equipped with SimGoober Flora and SG's fountain prop. WIth the "Maxis Edition" (right), all I did was remove the concrete planters around the fountain and replace the full-grown trees with street trees that look freshly planted. Personally, SG Edition Vol.3 convinces me more than Vol.2, but in case of the Maxis version, I liked the bigger trees better... what do you think?

Nice. It takes a well-done BAT to really appreciate the sheer scale of the tower. I already can see it growing in my localities:

How light did you want it to be? The way  it appears on some renders, It can be this light or even lighter. Have you thought on the color of cladding? Is it going to be blue just like the Naberezhnaya tower or will it have a more silver-ish tone to it?

Naberezhnaja glass is clearly green. In RT I think (or at least I imaging) it to be more color neutral with slight dark blue to it... I haven't yet decided on cladding of the support rays and the spaces between the floors... So it gonna be some time before It will be ready...

When I said brighter I meant not the colors/hues but lighting... So the second picture you've made is pretty much the lighting it gonna be.

blinds are rows of polygons that were vertically scaled and top leveled

Personally I find it a kind of hideous building, but its a very well done BAT as usual. Nice work!

In my opinion this is (and "ICC HK") the best desing in terms "Super tall".

    Great job as always.

Clearly I've been away from the forums for too long. SimFox, I have simply run out of adjectives capable of describing the quality of your work.

hey thats good. But you are missing a couple things.

    1. Master Chief from Halo jumping from a Covenant Ship onto the building.

    2. Master Chief fighting off hordes of aliens.

    3. Lots of laser and explosions.

    4. A hamburger and some fries (cause I'm hungry).

get that done THEN I will be impressed. 3.gif9.gif

    I love coffee and buildings.

Actually trees when properly optimized don't make much of a dent of on the render time. this entire "base garden" at proper zoom5 size takes less then 10 minutes. Polygon count as such doesn't really affect render times all that much. The tower itself, on the other hand is quite heavy due to the materials, etc. and sheer size - it is like 3000 pix tall at zoom5.
