I have a few things to share. First off, as co-transportation advisor, I believe Newark should have a Department of Transportation. It could expand and construct roads for the parts of Newark that are not owned and make suggestions for the parts that are.

Second, I would like to propose an expansion for Johnson Village:

    parcel20jan537121015238kx9.png

Note the new elementary school. Also that large Elementary school at the top, is that mine?

And finally since it's the end of the week, it's time for the Newark transportation network update. First, I will supply FreewayofFlight with this congestion data view of Auringy City. Note that Rt 304 is a little congested on the western end:

    Parcel21-Dec231151210150446.png

And a downtown view. This main artery may need to be upgraded to avenue or two one-way streets, which would avoid too much destruction.

    Parcel21-Dec231151210150469.png

Now I'm going to start in Lantia and work my way east.

This artery at exit  4 for Rt 4 is starting to become a bottleneck:

    Parcel3-Nov8701210149539.png

Some industrial areas west of exit 1:

    Parcel3-Nov8701210149628.png

A congested connector east of exit 1:

    Parcel3-Nov8701210149674.png

    Immediately west of exit 1:

    Parcel3-Nov8701210149725.png

The SSRL's tracks are congested, but not its stations:

    Parcel3-Jul5641208945276-1.png

Newark Central is very congested. A bigger station may be in order:

    Parcel17-Dec151891208250193.png

This intersection of Rt. 304 and a major artery in Sedgefield may need to be widened, and the station parking expanded.

    Parcel17-Dec151891208250296.png

Rt 35 on South Island needs widening or a transit line soon:

    Parcel18-Feb15151208946620.png

And finally a map of the region. Note the completion of the Newark Turnpike and Rt. 25.

    RegionTransit1-1.jpg

    That's all for now.

If I have missed something, such as a recently added road or transit network, please tell me.

Okay, I have highlighted a space in the picture. It is parcel 17 grid number C2. I would like to devolop some housing and some shops. Maybe start a town inside a town. There will be a small interchange on the RHW to provide better means of getting to the town. I would like there to be 16 R$$ houses and one large store to be there. We can discuss power lines and water later. Children will be hometaught. There will also be one police officer on patrol every day. Firefighters? I don't know what to do about those guys. But the area highlighted I would like to own.

kj3400 - Great job! I'll get to work on all of that immediately -  and no .. all civic services are owned by the city.

willg - First question - no... or atleast not yet. Newark's commerce sectors are becoming too large for both its residential structure and industrial structures to support. There's no demand for it. Right now we REALLY need to refocus on what Newark was really about... ...Drilling oil and Mining coal. Without a strong backbone economy, why would businesses want to move to an island isolated by 4,000 miles worth of water?

Second question - your images arn't displaying for us... you have to host them on Photobucket or imageshack....

    Charles Rodulfo - Thank you!

deion30296 - You were supposed to click "C2" of Parcel 17 in the table below the image and actually DRAW your development out. I cannot do anything with the information you gave me. Also just to let you know, that area resides on a very steep slope so it is going to be next to impossible to construct a development there... 4.gif

Camero, I would like to aid Newark by building a new industrial area off Highway 35. This area would feature mining and manufacturing structures only. The image of the street layout is not drawn to scale, it would feature a freight station ajacent to Collins Road. The bright yellow squares are the spaces for the buildings.

I have begun to plan Phase II of the South Island Electric Rail system.

Having said that, I'd like to detail what my overall plans are for the area. Generally speaking, the South Island Electric Rail company will be opposed to any large scale highway development on the island, for somewhat obvious reasons. That is not to say the Company does not recognize the likelyhood of at least some sort of limited access road being needed. As such, the Company feels it would be best if it were to be in charge of such planning and development. The Company would like to receive grants for exclusive options to develop any limited access roads on the island and the bridge from South Island to Millidgeville.

As for the light rail system, I am currently working on Phase II, though I am not sure on how much I can do at once. For access to Downtown, I was definitely planning on using elevated rail to cross into the downtown parcel and go across the water. However, I was planning on ending the line in downtown, likely next to the Smith Tower. This part of the plan would certainly be expensive, considering the need to purchase some medium residential towers and the demolish them for the El-Rail.

Obviously a lot of projects and ideas on my plate.

UN1- The zone would be high density.

Would anyone who has investments in rail services like to get on board with the Highway 504 Project?

Almighty Nienaber - It was from the Lantia Update by MPTC... It's a bit distored because he resaved it into a lower quality .JPG file and yes, thats the way Lantia looks now...

FreewayofFlight - That development is on a incline that is alittle too steep to support it. You'll have to look for terrain that is slightly more level.. ..Also plan your developments on the image and not a seperate image..

un1 - Don't make deeds until the development is approved otherwise you might give someone property that they cannot afford. Just make quotes in the beggining.

chriss - I'll be waiting to see... Sounds like a great plan

Shingure - Between Turner Station and Benedicts Portion of the Oconee Express? ... I'll have to calculate the tiles... ...I'm in process of making a final calculator so give me a second on that one..

Zarp - Sorry to see you go, I agree things have been a bit hectic lately but I still do have intentions of getting things together, it's just this project takes a bit more time than I anticipated with things going on around me aswell...

    First a small newspaper

    A link to the article

    Second..

Yoshiisland I have a request for you...

Can you also construct a sunken highway wall for the E/W Connector?

It's a glass wall that encases the highway and has internal nightlighting... It will sit on a Slope for the wall... ..the glass roof will overhang the highway while the grey are is sloped concrete... The black sloped area inside the glass dome is a lamp mount while the yellow area are the lights, there's the lights per mount and they stream for the entire tile without any breaks.

    Front View!

    FrontViewHighwayWall.jpg

Sign Mount - I'm going to request signs for them later...

    FrontViewSignMount.jpg

    Top / Side View...

    TopViewHighwayWall.jpg

The exterior side will have sidewalks. They don't need to be functional. Also put some flora and night lamps on the sidewalk just where it meets to glass dome...

    and here's another request...

Can you make these street lamps? 2 Per tile and make them overhang for a total of 3 tiles meaning one plop will give you 6 street lamps for 3 tiles?

    Light1.jpg

And the same for these - only make them plop in the center of both a RHW-4 and RHW-6...

    Light2.jpg

    Thank you....

As for the requests, I'm preparing them and will post them upon completion of the calculator.

All I can say is wow...

I found this a few days ago and have spent hours reading the whole thing through.

    just wow.....

I would love to be a part, hopefully something to do with transportation, and I'm willing to help you N4C with a position, anything available.

And I'm also willing to put a banner in my signature. Do I just copy one from someone else's, or do you have coding?

I have taken intrest in Parcel 19, around the D4 area, and am wondering if there is a road anywhere through there. [EDIT: I see there is] If so, then I will submit development plans. If not, I would like to build one, if there is any way I can make money off of it. My eventual plans are to lay claim to the far northeast, across the Oconee(?) River

deathtopumpkins - Welcome aboard. You can just copy my banner or make your own if you wish. But yes just submit your development plans... and we'll go from there...

I love the glass dome thing by the way. I bet it'll look really good once it's actually on the highway.

    Development Proposal:

    Oconee Village (Phase I)

    Oconee Village Phase I

And I would like it to be built bt DTP Construction Corp. Newark

Hopefully it's not too many points, if it is, and Iamihop's still around, I would like to get a loan. Or maybe one of the wonderful transportation companies in  Newark would like to help finance a bridge?

And if the rail line to the west of the picture is owned by someone, I'd like permission to build a station and commence service to downtown Newark.
