My avatar goes along with my signature. It's from a band called mewithoutYou's recent album (Brother, Sister) cover. Although the CD came out about a year ago, I can't stop listening to it. And luckily I get to see them again in a month!

Mine is the half-dog demon and hero Inuyasha from the fun and favorite anime series of the same name. I think in this scene he readying himself to squish the annoying flea demon Myoga, though the image looks like Inuyasha could be picking or squishing just about anything, and I just like his crazy kooky grimace. Somewhere else in the avatar collection along with Kooky Inuyasha I also have Spasmodic Kagome, Rabid Inuyasha, Sexy Sango, Pert Shampoo Sesshoumaru..

Ah... avatars... what a nice thread... contrary to many other threads, LOL!

My avatar is dedicated to my fave band, Clutch. Possibly the most underrated hard rock band today. They've been my favorite since 1992, when I first listened to Transnational Speedway League, but further set when their next, self-titled, album came out.

I will blab a few and tell you that if you are interested in Psychedelic/Progressive Rock, with an increasing focus on the Blues over the years, then Clutch is the band for you. They have a great sense of humor, mythology, history, and science...

A Lexus IS-F sports sedan. Usually I'll have my favorite car, the Lexus SC 430 in my avatar, but I couldn't pass this beauty up! I don't think I've ever had a avatar without a Lexus in it!

Well, you may have recognized the words in my avatar as the chorus to "Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls. But you probably didn't realize the girl standing there is also named "Iris", hence the relevance. The sprites of her and the font for the text are both from Megaman Battle Network 6.

So yeah, it's another Megaman related avatar for me.

And with most of my avatars I will put something to read with, Like my last one had the WTC and i wrote 9/11 on it to remember. My fisrt one was the top of the empire state building and was with the colors red whit and blue and I has written empire state in white and red.

Well, i have the avatar you see before me now for two reasons.

Reason one being i got tired of being so hot! I mean, you try carrying around a hot Phoenix avatar all day long. Your electric bill'll go through the roof!

And reason two being that some of Mr.C's creations escaped from the mythical hot-tub of his and ate half my avatar. I had to have something to bite back!

Its Pazu, a character from another anime movie made called Castle in the Sky (wikipedia article).

Ignoring that month or so I had the south park caricature, Ive been using the same character as a avatar for over a year. I have a bunch I made myself from screen captures of the movie. This one is the best ive made so it might be permanent.

Anyways,  Its an interesting movie, kind of hokey and childish on one side, but kind of fascinating on the other. I cant say why I thought it was cool, maybe its one of those things you were supposed to see when your a kid, but only find once your much older, then realize it doesnt really matter as long as you keep it to yourself

Somewhat on topic, just my experience it seems like people with borderline dorky anime avatars are usually in fact the most normal people you ever meet. Obviously we are comfortable with who we are (perhaps because we are better) and thus dont really care....
