Okay I live in New Jersey, and there are a couple of cities here that need to clean up thier act.  Such as Newark, Camden, Atlantic City, and Perth Amboy.  Some cities are crime infested, or sticken with poverty, others are contributing to global warming, others are "prostitution camps", and others are torn with segregation.............what cities in your area need to clean up their act.  If you would like you can post pictures too.

Windsor Ontario.....It has one of the highest crime rates in the country, and it is extremely unorganzied and scattered everywhere....plus, the roads are way to congested, espescially at the bridge. I hope they go through with twining the ambassador bridge, it would help.

lol, sorry about my previous post about the harbour, i thought you meant literally cleaning up 3.gif

well, the city is not great crime wise. once there was 15 break and enters in 24hours in a city of 100k YIKES! it doesnt help that the cops get free donuts lol, they need to be quick. we are pretty good when it comes to serious crimes like murder. we maybe get about 10 a year so i guess i cant complain to much.

Other than tha segregation i dont think corpus is very dilapidated. its just turning ghetto. but it can be changed. corpus needs a whole lot of police officers and need to crack down on all of tha gang wars going on around tha city. the city council also needs to let the city grow and allow all of the tax incinitives it needs for as many major retail markets that want to make this city grow. i think that is tha biggest problem in this city is that the council is run by a bunch of old farts who dont want it to grow any bigger than tha 300,000 or so people it has. I VOTE FOR NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS under the age of 70 lol... BTW livinginthepast do u live in corpus? if so where at?

Hamilton and Oshawa in Ontario are both dominated by low-income housing projects and manufacturing (steel in Hamilton, cars in Oshawa) and neither one is a particularly pleasant city to be in.

SF is pretty low on pollution, given the fact that the city  has over 700,000 people, and the metro is over 10 million, there are so many other cities with lower populations that have more smog than SF, like Fresno.

Corpus is segregated?! I lived there for 5 years and have been back down there a few times and it doesn't seem that segregated. It IS very dilapidated though, because it's a very poor city. Most of the roads hadn't been paved in awhile, and it's still too dependent on the port (which is the 6th largest in the nation).

Anyways, in Central Texas the only area that really needs to straighten up is East Austin. Very poor part of town, mainly because there aren't any good east-west roads that go from the CBD to East Austin.

Palermo, Sicily really needs to cut down on the crime...

Just kidding. I'm new to Austin, but I believe that East Austin does have a pretty bad reputation. I always find myself on the west side of cities....

SF seriously needs to do something about the crime its so rediculous people are leaving by the flocks! And also do something about the homeless problem, clean streets, and build more skyscrapers! Oh and the supervisors need to stop being corrupt and give other parts of the city more attention. To start demolish the old schlage factory that takes up four or five blocks of space in visitacion valley and build some commercial buildings!

My town in Mass has a serious issue with illegal immigration and drugs. There is a lot of drugs beig shipped thru my town which is centrally located between Boston, Providence and Worcester. The other main problem is illegal immigration. The town is currently trying to crack down. Recently they began board of health inspections and are finding upwards to 20 illegal immigrants living in one and two bedroom apartments. Yesterday they searched a rooming house and found living in a one bedroom apartment and 10 turned out to have criminal records and 5 had current warrants on drug charges.

chicago, corupted goverment, with major crime, murder, drugs, and proverty on the southside( aka south chicago) trust me you do not want to live there, there is also some segregation, since south chicago is mostly black, that causes more promblems, and many people in the cities goverment did nothing until the 30th kid/ teenager finally died due to gang related violance, and school shootings, also everyone of those kids, or almost all them were black, it's really sad since the 30th kid(forgot name) died protecting a girl on the bus where the 30th shooting took place, a moment of silence please

Peoria,Illinois. I live near hear and the town has already recorded somewhere between 10 and 12 homicides. It's a nice town, on the north side. But the south side is so crime and poverty stricken it's scary. The city only has 248 police officers and 113,456 people live there. The city council is doing nothing do help the situation. Although I do not live on the South Side, I never feel safe living there. Oh yeah, the city's not a Chicago suburb. Also, the city is in a no-growth spell. There are two major growth cells on the afr north side of town that are starting to develop, but the city's only grown 171 people in the past 5 years.(net gain) The school district sucks, almost every one of it's schools are below AYP every year, except for a couple of north end schols, and the gifted school.

Hey Pats, Violence in Boston has been bad this year. It is bad compared to past years in Boston, but overall Boston is a very safe city compared to other major cities of similar size. Jamaica Plain is not a bad neighborhood. My family is from there and it is actaully one of the best neighborhoods to live in, along with West Roxbury. Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Mission Hill, Grove Hall, those are all bad neighborhoods.

dallas needs to...their lack of organization cost them the new cowboys stadium, it almost cost north texas the superbowl, they keep having corruption issues within different boards, and crime is through the roof. the local news covers the entire dallas fort worth area, and most of it ends up focused on crimes in dallas.

East Tampa and University West in Tampa are still in shambles despite a new rec center in U/west and numerous new developments in East Tampa. University mall is losing tenents by the day, and will go down in flames when Cypress Creek Town Center is finished. that same senerio was played out in East Tampa during the early 90's. When Brandon Town Center was built and after a New Kids on the Block apperence, East Lake Mall was done for. But closer to my house, Dade City is the oldest and crappiest town in East Pasco County. The Lock St neighborhood is full of crime and drugs more-so than the rest of the city, and as I am typing this, the news is reporting on 2 bodies found in a house over there. It also didn't help that about 4 years ago, the Lykes/Pasco citrus packing house (the largest citrus packing house in the country,) was closed down, cutting about 1,000 jobs. The massive factory just sits empty, with only a few warehouse tenents still remaining. Crime numbers are now comparable to those of Largo, a sub-urban city of over 55,000. Dade City only has about 6,000 people. that says enough.

Manchester, all that regeneration money but it's still not improving the quality of life for the people who need it most. Simply more police to make communities feel they can speak out and have somone on their side.

Houston: Zoning laws are needed. The complete lack of zoning in Houston means that people can build whatever they want, anywhere in the city. Also, car chases need to be brought under control, the police department needs more officers, and the inner city schools could use some improvement (some of them have miniscule graduation rates).

I thought Houston's lack of zoning laws is what made it unique and great. 3.gif
