This is something strange, a El-Rail bottleneck.

[picture]

Not bad, Alejandro24, but can I suggest a few things?

1.) Press 'G' on your keyboard to turn off the grid lines when taking photographs

2.) I believe you are using HD automata in your cities; you must have hardware rendering enabled for them to show correctly. As they are now, with software rendering, they're appearing as black red green and blue squares.

3.) You might put a seawall along the water in your most dense areas. If you want them, I can link if you have trouble.

Keep calm and take photographs.

Don't worry Yoshiisland, I have learned too much in this time about city building. That's an old photo, the HD cars looks with that squares because Linux can't render correctly the automatas -but windows can-, so I build the city in Linux and then I take photos in Windows, for avoid that troubles. I forget to turn off the grid, that's a mistake mine. I'm using seawalls in my new cities, and another more things.

Yap', I'm learning too much.

Never such a thing as learning too much, mate. ;) I've actually learned quite a bit, and when I went back to finish up this city I started months ago I've been continuing to find little things that could be improved. I'm about to do a major downtown overhaul; I was contemplating destroying it and rebuilding from ground up, but there's too many parts that I like for that to happen :D lol

My all time favorite car crash in sc4 was definetey when i had the Beijing minivan taxi (link at bottom) and i was driving past loads of trucks and i cept driving like a motorbike.i hit an army truck and the taxi exploded along with 40 cars that weren't even touched. yes i was in UDI. :???:

 i just remembered how to make huge traffic jams

get the army base and area 5.1 on a street and watch

4 even more effect put other car spawning buildings on the street as well. :read:

Haljackey, sadly I have noticed that you are using traffic generators (faded cars off the side of road). These are still great pictures though! :golly:

Those images are nearly 5 years old. I don't think I've plopped a single traffic generator since 2010. :P

Those pics remind me of the Hurricane Rita evacuations in Houston:

Oops, didn't look at the date. I always used to use traffic generators to test various road set-ups (usually NAM based) to see how automata would react to it. :D

Add taller buildings and pedestrians and you've got San Francisco's Financial District :D

I'm sure the traffic isn't supposed to weave about so much.

It should be worth noting that even certain diagonal networks have crossover paths. Once again, it happens more so with traffic generators.
