Thanks everyone who stopped by to see the sneak peek!

As a quick sidenote, I'll be simulcasting this City Journal over at SC4D as well, as to get a bigger viewer base...

    Now, to the continuing crisis...

    -----------------------------------------

    ...22:14:01 CST-

    update21xc5.jpg

"It's been two hours since we first reported to you about the AirNimbus crash just outside of Pembrook. We now go live to Tina Konichi at the temporary crisis center downtown at the Power and Light Plaza. Tina?"

"I'm here live at the meeting being held by AirNimbus officials and IDOT investigators who are coming in from the crash site. Reports have been coming in from sources that the crash was in fact an act of terrorism, and that a bomb was detonated from somewhere on the plane."

"It looks like the conference is about to begin..."

    update22zg3.jpg

"Good evening ladies and gentleman... We're holding this meeting to discuss what new information we've recieved from investigators on scene. We ask that all questions be saved until the end of the converence."

"First, we've pulled at least 27 survivors from the wreckage and they are now being sent to area trauma centers. To check on loved ones you think may have been on this flight, please call the number periodically showing on your station's news ticker."

"Now, rumors are going around that this was a form of terrorism... At this time, we cannot fully confirm this, but primary investigations have shown that this has, in fact, been a terroristic attack. We are unsure of whom the culprits are at this time, but we are closely working with government officials from the FBI and CIA to help catch those involved."

"All flights have been cancelled nationwide, and all flights in the air are being diverted to the nearest airports. Until furthur notice however, there will be no flights entering the nation."

"We're now going to switch over to the press converence taking place at City Hall with the Senator and Mayor..."

    update23bh0.jpg

".... have declared all th the Pine Grove Metropolitan Area under a state of emergency. We ask that all people worried about loved ones possibly on the flight to stay home at this time and call the crisis hotline. With the current overload of city emergency services and overworked phone lines, we ask that all non-essential calls to emergency services be held off until appropriate."

"We will be holding another press conference in the morning and we'll be relaying all information we have to local news networks. That's all we have at this time, and our thoughts and prayers go out to those in the crash."

    -----------------------------------------

Please stay tuned for continued coverage of the disaster....

Time for another update! I've decided to make this one a little creepy... but first to the replies:

    dralin321: Thanks!

Mikeaut1: Yeah, I strive to impress!

belfastuniguy: Thanks, I had to read up on my Photoshopping....

    city11: Photoshop.

Thanks again to everyone for all the comments...

    Now to the update...

    --------------------

    ...12:23:16 CST-

    update31sa7.jpg

....of this ***morning, officials are stating that although the avionics bay of the jet did, indeed, explode, there are no findable traces of explosive materials. Sources are still investigating as of right now, and^ reports are still coming in of survivors. The -ber of those pulle(d from wreckage is now up to 105, and local hospitals are struggling to keep up with t-ose injured.

    update32vg0.jpg

In other news, local mass transit has scree-d to a halt, as rain continues to flood the suuuuuu-ay and bus stations. Transportation officals have shut down the network, stating that with 70% of the network at least* partially flooded, trains and buses simply cannot run wi-ut fear of people getting trapped. With highways already water logged, many businesses are shutting dow@n simply due to the fact tha#t their employees cannot find a way to work.

Water on the Brush River banks aaaaaaaaa-rising, and officials are trying to prepare themselves with possible flooding in the Downtown and East Towne areas.

    update33du9.jpg

Also makii-iii-iing headlines, hundreds of thouuuuuuu-sands of customers are without or ex-ex-ex-periencing service interuption as te-om giants are racing to find answer.... computers also seem to be affeeee-ected as networks across the city are shuuuuu-ting down and causing the power out......

Yay! Update time! As some of you may have noticed, I took kind of a creppy take on an update. Well, I've decided to continue on this further. I've seen that there are really no horror themed CJs/MDs, so, I've taken to the plate. So please, let me know what you all think!

    But first, the replies:

jacqulina: Thanks! Its so great to see you here again!

collgab: Well, just wait till you see what I have in store...

    seahawk fan121: Like I wouldn't be?

    Benedict: Thanks!

Amerikaner: Thanks, and trust me, there is a lot more to come!

jj88: Actually, first crash for the airline. But I'll get into that on a later date...

dralin321: Yep... and I'm going to go for weekly updates... Hopefully every Tuesday!

Moshi: Heh... don't you worry about the airline.... You'll just want to stick with bottled water is all....

MasterPlanMan: Thanks, I really try to exceed myself whenever I can.

Now, what you've all really been waiting for, the update....

    ------------------------------

    ... 08:30:05 pm CST

    update41et6.jpg

... As the rain begins to subside here in the metro, power has returned those many people that were effected by the rolling blackout. PG Power and Light engineers are unable to fully explain why there was such a wide spread power loss in the city, but do expect to launch a full investigation.

The outage, which effected an estimated 470k customers in the greater metropolitan area, lasted about 7 hours, leaving many critical services offline. Major hospitals, where many of the survivors of the AirNimbus crash were located at, were not interruppted in power supply due to emergency generators.

    update42ms4.jpg

During the citywide power outage, Water and Sanitation officals have discovered a water main break at the corner of Third and Prospect, which has lead to a city-wide water boil order until next week. Water and Sanitation works hope to have the break fixed by tomorrow afternoon. Water has been shut off to the Upper Downtown area, and will be shut off until the break is fixed.

    update43iz3.jpg

Tonight's last top story, we head over to Mercy Central Hospital, where emergancy rooms doctors have seen a sudden influx of strange flu-like symptoms which are quickly becoming serious.

Symptoms include dizziness, vomitting, excessive sweating, chills without fever, malace, numbness in extremities, fainting, and sudden blood pressure drops. Medical experts advise that if you experience these symptoms at at any time, to seek immediate medical attention or contact 911 for more information. Those most prone are the elderly and childr.....

This just in! We're getting reports from many viewers of screams coming from the InfiniGenics Building located in the Upper Downtown area. We have been recieve many pictures from people in the area and have these shocking pictures from the lobby of the building.

    update44oq4.jpg

We'll report more information as it comes in!

Hope you guys enjoyed this update!

Wow... thought I'd get a couple more replies, but, views were high!

First off, I'd like to take a moment of silence for those who lost loved ones in the Minn. Bridge Collapse. A tragedy like this is a truely horrible thing....

    Next, the replies:

    cleaner475: Thank!

Moshi: Now, now... no going and spoiling the plot....

Voulpiotis: Thanks, I'm trying to keep that same feel to my work as before.

sEAhAwk fAn121: Same goes for you as Moshi....

Mike the Mayor: Thanks! Let me know if there is something I could do better on the update..... I'd figure you to be a good source on this....

TheSixCents: Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the plot!

dralin321: Yeah... that would be blood.... notice the bloody body in the update....

jacqulina: As always, I'm always happy to see your supportive comment in my CJ. Thanks for the reply!

Now, I decided to make this update more global, and I think I really found a suitable news station....

(Note: this is the second go I had to do of this.... damned internet...)

    ---------------------------

    11:23:05 PM CST

    update51rj7.jpg

...continues to cripple the Pine Grove metropolitan area. The virus, quickly being described as the next Spainish influenza, has been showing remarkably quick incubation period, with a high transmission rate. Already, the viral epidemic has taken 14 lives, as medical experts are frantically trying to counteract the symptoms.

    update52av0.jpg

Also making headlines is the surprising military prescence outside the InfiniGenics building. Local news carriers have been reporting screams and blood covered carcasses coming from the tower, along with reports of people rioting in the building.

InfiniGenics, which is know for its research in biomedical engineering, microbiology, and genetic engineering, has so far not commented on what is going on in the building.

    update53fd5.jpg

Strange reports also from Pine Grove are streaming in from the British embassy located in the northern district of the city of soldiers from the nearby military base mobilizing in what looks to be hazmat suits. At this timew we are unable to get an answer as to why this may be.

    update54bt3.jpg

We are now recieving premature reports from locals in the area of chaos outside the InfiniGenics building. Reports are flooding in of blood-covered people running out of the building, and please bear with us on this, appearently attacking those they come across! We are going to now switch over to our BBC America affiliate for more in-depth information on the events taking place. Please stand by....

    ------------------------------------

Hope that makes things even creepier, and that everyone enjoyed the updatel. More next week!!!
