I've missed a lot. Apologies. I am completely stunned about the chart of tallest buildigns in Nemonos. Excellent, those are similar to those on Skyscraperpage. Nice job on Terra Cotta and Little China, a lot of budings there.

Holy cow! Page 20! Amazing. Congratulations, great update! Nice idea on the tallest buildings...mind if I use it? Lol, hard for me though. Nemonos is very quaint, realistic, and...fabulous! Love Little China...great sue of HKABTand the seawalls. Absolutely stunning!

Both the Highlanders and the Fighting Clownfish played today (well, the highlanders yesterday but i was too lazy to update that then, haha)

Once again the Highlanders lose. This is bad news for them especially considering they have only 1 game left in the regular season! Thankfully their early season success secured them a playoff birth. Lets hope they can turn things around in the playoffs... Friday is a 'bye week' for Nemonos, next game on monday.

asutiranu Haha, yes, its very much like Hong Kong. Lots of Hong Konganses (???) architects have flooded into Nemonos and are leaving their impact. You are the density assassin, I know, but I really like building my downtown so, haha.

And another update! This is more as a result of my playing yesterday. I hadn't planned on another downtown update, haha. Oh well, another downtown update you will get. This one is more a storyboard about the construction of a new housing block in the downtown core.

First shot here is the site once all the old buildings were destroyed and cleared out. You'll also note that the rail line that used to cut through the site has been re routed leaving a a row beside the city hall.

The plan originally called for an enormous housing block to cover the whole thing. A road that cut through the site that would run under the building was planned as well. Unfortunately, the developer went broke after the demolition. They hadn't planned for the extra expenses of having to re-route the rail line and buy up land for that.

Thus the lot was re-sold at auction to the highest bidder. The Ross Development Company won the auction for a reputed $US 120 million. Thats alot for a plot of land. They were the main developer for the Little China area just a block to the west of this site.

Part of the deal as labeled above is to build a new subway station and plaza on the site of an unused religious building beside the City Hall.

The plaza was build below grade to connect to the subway station as well as the lower floors of the City Hall. Several restaurants and boutiques have opened up in the retail space surrounding the perimeter (also below grade).

Next up was to dig the enormous hole that would be the foundations for the residential towers. Evidentially they wanted to go big as well! haha

Here's another angle.

As a result of this project the surrounding area experienced a building boom with several office and residential towers going up at the same time.

The project went along at a breakneck pace. So fast that many people wondered if the buildings would be safe. Here's a shot of the project about half way through construction.

In only 8 months 8 towers were built on the site. Almost all the condos were sold before they were finished and now some 12 000 people live there.

Here's the finished product. The similarities to the Little China Development are very clear. This was allowed by council because it is directly adjacent to that area.

And, from another angle.

I'm sure you all noticed the new construction that's going up beside the block as well. Well, Ross Corp. The owner of Ross Development Company was doing very well for itself and so it felt a new glamorous downtown headquarters was in order.

Eee, its going to be very big! There was some people who didn't want the massive 57 storey tower to be built but they were quickly silenced by large payouts.

At 57 storey's it is the 2nd highest building in Nemonos in terms of storeys (yes, there is now one higher ) , the highest interms of occupied floor and the 2nd highest in terms of architectural feature (to the NBIC tower).
