I vote for Admiral Hestorb's place and Atkiniros. Peaceful, simplistic and serene. Lots of plopping places for kitties to lie down and conduct affairs of State don't you know?

    Governor’s Challenge – Atkinos

The Isle of Smiles is getting in on the Governor’s Challenge as well. Fleet Captain Splunt’s town, Atkinos (often referred to as “Atkinos Town” to differentiate it from the island upon which it sits), has done improvements to its downtown as well as expanded south in creating its new Cliffside Mission District. Let’s see what Atkinos has to offer in the competition.

First, as we look downtown, we see the view from St. Paul’s has not changed much. The Contemplation Garden adjacent to the church has some new landscaping though.

In addition to the new landscaping, the Contemplation Garden sports two monuments, the Column of Splunt and the Winged Victory, awarded for seven consecutive basketball championships.

The downtown area, which centers on The Esplanade, has seen a few changes, but retains its quaint charm and distinctive ambience.

A new feature to the Esplanade South is the Buss Arch, which leads into the renovated Excalibur Park.

     2excaliburparkaq8.jpg

The eastern end of town is largely unchanged. Wayne Tower still anchors the area in front of Excalibur Park.

For the big changes, let’s go through downtown to the upgraded beachfront and the new neighborhoods.

The shore has been upgraded to Risa quality. It is sure to be a hit with tourists.

The other exciting development is on the southern cliffs, where the Memorial Church and gardens lie. The mission church anchors a new neighborhood – the Mission District.

Voting is not quite open yet. Everyone needs a chance to see all 3 entries. Then, the side-by-side voting will begin.

Atkinos looks AWESOME, I love the cliffside area, the palm trees are great along the coastline. btw, have Schulmanians learned to terraform for new land? It'd be pretty cool if they could, then the inhabitants of Schulmanicus Island could make a land bridge...

Can't wait for the results of the voting... it's going to be really tough to decide... Atkiniros is a lovely town, but Gran Maru was absolutely fabulous(!), Atkinos though is utterly amazing!!! The bell towers and (St. Pauls Church, is it?), and the beaches...

Using answers.com, I was able to come up with this chain: ample=voluminous=heavy=thick=fat.

Highlight the above for something interesting. Someone may not like it, though.
