Atkinos: Governor's Challenge- Atkiniros

Not to be outdone, the small town of Atkiniros has launched an ambitious renewal plan, hoping to capture the elusive golden cup for the Governor's Challenge. A 1 meter tall gold cup would be a fine prize for Admiral Hestorb's hometown, which is often overlooked because its sister city on Atkinos is nearly five times bigger.

The small town features a town square with the church, a marketplace, and is ringed by small family farms. Let's see what they have done to the place.

The heart of the small town: church, square and market

Several new shops have sprung up along the main square. Demand for retail space is high but preservation covenants restrict building size.

From this angle, one can see most of the town's retail area.

Mercado de los Gatos Gordos, (Plump Kitties Market), provides for wares of every kind. On the corner sits the new Figueira da Foz café, featuring great dishes such as Arroz da Polvo and Bacalhau for the hungry guest.

Behind the market, Hestorb's Ladieswear features great feline attire for the plus size cat.

In the foreground sits City Hall and the Admiral Hestorb statue. Small family farms line Atkiniros Circle and run up to the undeveloped coastline.

Here's some views of Admiral Hestorb's house.

Her property sits inside of the "U" of Atkiniros Circle

She has a pretty small house, but plenty of fine hunting and sunning can be done on her lush grounds.

On the north end of town, Hestorb's neighbors are family farmers. The Felix family lives in the green house and the Sylvester family lives in the red house. The corner shopping arcade features local favorites, such as the Cat Butter Creamery (makes cat food flavored ice cream) and the Furtastic Brushatorium (a cat salon).

Let's take a look at the new landscaping around the Admiral Hestorb Statue next to City Hall. The statue received a makeover and some nicer landscaping was done around it. The slopes are now lined with cut stone, instead of being bare earth as before.

Admiral Hestorb never looked better!
