I saw a CJ with a post number of -7 a couple days ago. Maybe there's a bug.

Or even worse, that wacko cat is at it again.

    Does this make me #-8001?

Anyways, so far as the clone thing, as any long-time Spider-Man fan will say, "OH DEAR GOD PLEASE GOD NO MORE SPIDER-MAN CLONES!  DON'T DO THIS TO US AGAIN!"

(if you can read that whole entry without your head exploding, you are probably heading towards a Nobel Prize in the future) (oh, the horror of the Clone Saga...)

The Supreme Wirdle has been in direct contact and held discussions (well mainly rubbing around our legs looking for treats...) with the staff of Simtropolis to assess both the current volitile volcanic situation in Schulmania, and also the unprecidented harsh reality that Schulmania now has a 12 PFB infestation.

This is a situation that can not be permitted to spread to either felines or humans - immediate quarantine proceedures are at this moment being put in place.

It has been decided to declare an immediate state of emergency and declare that Schulmania is at this point too unstable to allow further posting at the present time.

Further posting access to Schulmania will be strictly restricted to contain this deadly infestation.

Please stand-by for futher announcements as this situation unfolds and develops.

We apologise for any inconvenience to the faithful posting public of Schulmania, we can only hope and pray that a speedy solution will be found to this problem.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Due to issues regarding load time and page flip bugs,

Schulmania will now be split into two threads.

It is time to STRIKE BACK against the page flip bugs, load time quagmires and hackers!

This thread will be Volume 1 and the next thread will Volume 2. Everything remains intact and continues as it would have otherwise. Click on the Supreme Wirdle's picture below to be carried to the

Cats are not the smartest, apes are, but if I wanted the scientific truth I would have gone to Monkey Island in SC4D. Apes starting their own civilization is much more likely than domesticated cats :I

    Schulmanicus: Old, Old School Sprawl

As is typical with civilizations, once the Schulminions had the tools to master their environment, they set out to do so. Under their inspired feline leadership, settlements began on several parts of the island. Four small villages began near strategic resources: Buss, Wanda, Wirt, and Stell.

    island4settlementslz5.jpg

The four settlements on the island. The top one is Stell, the middle is Wirt. The bottom left is Wanda and the bottom right is Buss.

Buss and Wanda were on opposite ends of a large cultivated area. The primary crop form this area was tomatoes. These were used to satisfy the hungry tribe of Schulminions in multiple tasty dishes. Archaeologists were able to use chemical residue analysis to determine the diet in this era included such dishes as salsa, pasta marinara, pizza, and beefaroni. On the other side of the island, apples provided nutrition with deliciousness.

    [snip]

Let's tour the four settlements and examine the importance of each.

    [snip]

Wanda's perch on the shore allowed for Sims to farm the tomatoes as well as wade out with nets to catch fish. Archaeologists are not entirely sure how many kinds of fish were present at that time, but they have found evidence for at least two kinds: sticks and fillets.

    ]wirttreefarmlc7.jpg

    [snip]

In a precursor to congested roads and massive interchanges, this is the first intersection ever created. Traffic count at this time: 1 cow. On a busy day, up to 25% of the estimated 400 Schulminions would travel through this intersection.

Luckily, these forward-thinking Sims were able to develop the island free of worry. Each settlement continued to grow and the number of fields expanded as the population quickly surpassed 1,000. These Sims continued to develop their culture and technology, living in open villages. One day, this serenity was shattered. A tribal elder had a terrifying vision - one that sent the Sims scurrying for protection. He saw...

I would love to thank you for such a funny posting style. My little 9 year-old nephew has leukemia, and is too tired to climb out of his hospital bed most days. I've been using your posts as inspiration for telling him stories. I your little "two types of fish: fillets and sticks" and utilized cats and Curious George in my story. (The fillets and sticks made him laugh, and put a spark in him for the rest of the day.)

You don't know just how much it helped a small, sick boy feel a bit of joy in his his short life for at least a little while. You should think about writing and publishing silly little children's books in real life. Just within less than two pages of reading your extremely long CJ has shown that you have a gift.

(ETA: I had to snip a few things out of this quoted post. It was rather large, and took up a lot of space. Sorry about that.)

My nephew has sadly passed away just before Christmas at the age of 10. His furry four-legged friend that I gave to him, a completely black cat named Myka (Pronounced "Meeka") has been lost since then. She sits at the foot of his bed at my sister's house, her customary spot for the last few months of his life, and meows most of the night until she goes to sleep. The low-toned meowing she has been doing each night, is a new habit since my nephew left us. It's really heartbreaking, because she knows her companion is no longer there, but doesn't understand why.

I sincerely thank you, for some of the ideas you have given me to help keep him entertained and happy right up to the end. Including the idea of giving him my cat I had for about 4 years. The animal doctor photo inspired me to give her to him, because he loved that cat. I miss her, but she has a better home at my sister's, even now. There are other kids, and a dog for her to mess around with. And she has a bed she has claimed as her own now.

Anyway, thank you, Schulmanator, for stories.

Thank you for replying again. I am sorry that your nephew's struggle has ended sadly. Schulmania's genesis is in the plans my friends and I had about the time I was his age and the first cat appeared in my house. Sim City allows me to bring that vision to life and share it with others. I do it for my own amusement but am gratified when it brings happiness to others. Ultimately, most of the things that matter in our lives revolve around stories or people. And the stories are about people. It is the connections with others that brings meaning to our days and gives us comfort and support in a hard world. If what I have done here has been of comfort and support to him that is worth more than any prize or award this city journal will ever earn. I appreciate your sharing his story with me and my stories with him.

Probably due to a switch over to a new server or something.

Life's been very busy, moved 3 times, and about to move again. I have abandoned, and occasionally pick up reading this CJ now and then over the past few years. Looking up a few posts ago, from 2 years ago, brings a tear to my eyes.

Once again, I thank you. :)
