Tribbles! The tribbles did it! 3.gif

Or not, but they've multiplied and are plugging up the server again.

Maybe a possible temporal cold war going on?

Wait! Time bugs! I saw some of their handiwork after the site went down! Either they did it, or they allowed whoever did do it to travel though time...

Please stand by while I make a few simple calculations...

1 x 8 + 1 = 9

12 x 8 + 2 = 98

123 x 8 + 3 = 987

1234 x 8 + 4 = 9876

12345 x 8 + 5 = 98765

123456 x 8 + 6 = 987654

1234567 x 8 + 7 = 9876543

12345678 x 8 + 8 = 98765432

123456789 x 8 + 9 = 987654321

1 x 9 + 2 = 11

12 x 9 + 3 = 111

123 x 9 + 4 = 1111

1234 x 9 + 5 = 11111

12345 x 9 + 6 = 111111

123456 x 9 + 7 = 1111111

1234567 x 9 + 8 = 11111111

12345678 x 9 + 9 = 111111111

123456789 x 9 +10= 1111111111

9 x 9 + 7 = 88

98 x 9 + 6 = 888

987 x 9 + 5 = 8888

9876 x 9 + 4 = 88888

98765 x 9 + 3 = 888888

987654 x 9 + 2 = 8888888

9876543 x 9 + 1 = 88888888

98765432 x 9 + 0 = 888888888

1 x 1 = 1

11 x 11 = 121

111 x 111 = 12321

1111 x 1111 = 1234321

11111 x 11111 = 123454321

111111 x 111111 = 12345654321

1111111 x 1111111 = 1234567654321

11111111 x 11111111 = 123456787654321

111111111 x 111111111=12345678987654321

Hmmm...

Interesting...

What does this mean?

Dfnva Your allegations will be fully investigated.

Explodingsims An interesting point. The investigator will make a note of that.

Leech10 DNA tests do confirm that the intruder was not a dog... or a cat...

NMUSpidey The Admiral perks her ears up. She heard someone say "treats".

ky72x 4 more for me! Will it EVER end??!! 3.gif

Shingure Most posts were coughed back up in hairball form. Unpaid interns and conscript labor are piecing the updates back together as we speak.

Patfirefghtr Hmmm... perhaps it is a broader conspiracy than we first thought...

    Hester Looks can be deceiving!

Jacqulina Thanks! More is in the on deck circle.

Smarty218 They do seem a bit suspicious...

NMUSpidey Good question. I wonder how far Bugs' hole goes...

Leech10 I know the Borg have used them to attack the Earth in the 21st century.

Shingure On that, I surely agree.

Smarty218 It sure does. If I had better writers, they would have a conclusion for the cliffhanger...

Dfnva It's all a part of a big ol' conspiracy... bigger even than the whole New Coke thing back in '85 (or was it '84? 86? Somewhere back in prehistory). I cry out for justice!

ky72x Yes, Matlock can come in very handy. If you ever plan on committing a crime, be sure to rent all Perry Mason, Matlock and CSI episodes first so you will know how NOT to do the crime- they always get the bad guy.

Explodingsims Could be... or perhaps interdimensional residents!

NMUSpidey That does it! I am stocking up on Scooby Snacks!

Leech10 Hmmm... if a Suliban shows up, trouble is certainly not far behind.

Hester Might be. Evidence is still being reviewed.

Leech10 Those nasty, nasty bugs! I knew they had something to do with it!

Abcvs I knew I could count on my #1 fan 2 bring meaningful maths 4 my audience. There's no d9 that 4 number puzzles, this 1 has my a10tion. How do you cre8 these 4 us?

Twenty20 Nope. But he would make a good rogue.

NMUSpidey Eight is enough, eh? Aaaack! I live in TV Land!

East Devonshire: Outpost No More, Part 2

The ecclesiastical center of East Devonshire has so far turned out to be the outpost of Liver Springs. Now more than double the size of its western neighbor Mercaptan, Liver Springs is poised for yet more growth as a key stop of supplies and travelers between the two Devonshire coasts. Occupying a narrow valley, Liver Springs boasts abundant opportunities for those seeking housing or searching for work. Let's explore this outpost-turned-town.

    cityhalljt3.jpg

City Hall sits on Harvey Street, the main commercial and civic area in town. This building was constructed with funds from Princess Shelby to commemorate its incorporation..

Harvey Street is the major commercial area. Running parallel to it is Red Bud Lane. Both host a variety of businesses to serve residents and travelers. With its commercial growth, it is possible that Liver Springs may host East Devonshire's first Chicken King franchise before long.

    harveystreetbusinesses1qu2.jpg

Businesses along Harvey Street include the Colonial Bank of East Devonshire (across from city hall) and the Gilded Truffle Restaurant (left of the bank). On the corner is the furniture store, providing fine ware made from locally harvested hardwoods.

    harveystreetbusinesses2bp3.jpg

Also on the main street is Willard's Tavern, famous for its dessert menu. At right is Trident Café, serving up locally caught game with a side order of charm.

    business1oa1.jpg

Business is brisk along Red Bud Lane. The castle-like tower of the farmer's market is a local landmark. It sits across the lane from the elaborate red brick House o' Learnin', which features the town library, archive, and a museum. The most popular museum exhibit is a fossilized partial skeleton of a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.

    business2xj1.jpg

The block bounded by Harvey and Red Bud top and bottom) and by Liver Lane (left) contains most of the commerce in the area. The Dancing Bass, a favorite watering hole, serves up seafood and more at the corner of Harvey & Liver.

    business3lq2.jpg

At the other end of Red Bud Lane, the curving façade of Snyder's Snacks invites passers-by to drop in for a quick nosh.

Many trees remain in and around town. Nearly every yard has trees. Let's see where residents live.

    backyardsdm1.jpg

Behind Red Bud Lane, trees and grass separate homes and businesses. VAN Enterprises has opened its first office on Red Bud Lane.

    housesis9.jpg

There are some nice homes in this frontier town.

    houses2cc0.jpg

Looks like fine housing for Liver Springs residents.

The church, the first built in the district, still serves as the focus for religious activity in the area.

    church1el6.jpg

    church2qg2.jpg

An adjacent rectory offers an administrative center for religious activity and doubles as a seminary.

The Google Ads for this page are telling me I should buy a copy of The Scarlet Letter. Ugh. Have you read that thing? Man, was that Torture. So much great American literature, and everyone in high school gets stuck reading that and The Crucible.

    Abcvs Nifty!

Hester Lanterns? They are quite popular in Schulmania - helps the cats find prey easier at night.

Leech10 They light them with a really long candle.

Smarty218 Gotta have roads or the residential won't grow or survive. But, commercial is roadless. And, of course, the main thing is, carless.

Patfirefghtr This attempted infiltration will not be forgotten - top researchers will continue to work on it until the truth is revealed.

Shingure I am ok with the road, as long as there are no cars on it.

Twenty20 Thanks! More from East Devonshire is coming soon.

NMUSpidey What did you do to make RL mad at you? Can you plea bargain to something lesser for your punishment?

Dfnva Thanks! It is definitely growing.

Anik Thanks! And welcome to Schulmania.

gabry85 Lanterns are always a welcome addition to any road!

penguin007 Glad to see you back!

    Hester With rusty hooks.

NMUSpidey The google ads I see are for Stargate SG1 ringtones and for UFO books. Now, why would I want a UFO book? I already have an owner's manual to mine!

lucky7 Thanks! More is certainly on the way.

I wonder how many Google Ads there are... I'm currently looking at House of the Seven Gables being used to advertise hotels, Resident Evil 4 (zombies? no thanks), Stargate SG-1 downloads, and residency in the UK. Residency in the UK? Seriously? Schulmania always seemed more Germanic than Anglo-Saxon... Maybe it's just me.
