Well first off the name means Vandal mountains( charming eh?) in norwegian.

Vandals_fjella333.jpg

So here's the city itself, it still  not quite fully built up and the eastern area of it is rather unbuilt(NB! i will not make sprawling cities, really not my thing)

Here's some of the city centre, and as you can see a whole block of buildings have been leveled just to build an embankment  EL-Rail.....stupid 60's city planning...

Ruined_downtown.jpg

Downtown_skyline6666.jpg

And here are the tallest buildings in the city centre, i will not really change the downtown so  much, what i will mostly focus on are newer districts, ghettos mostly

Oldtown-1.jpg

Some of the old areas at the St. Hallvardson Cathedral

Cathedral_and_graveayrd.jpg

The cathedral itself , it was built 1256 ,it was planned demolished in the 70's but luckily cathedral entusiasts saved it,they planned to replace it with a 5 floor parking garage

City_Centre.jpg

Outside the national hospital

city_suburb_day-1.jpg

yep....the lovely outer area of the city centre... full of towerblocks, Low wealth housing estates and  what not....so lovely!

city_suburb11.jpg

And it is even more lovely at night!Yey!

Councilestate.jpg

One of the most "lovely" council estates in the city....looks so nice to live at... 3.gif

city_suburb_3.jpg

so yeah, this is what is mostly built there...housing  estates...

ghetto4.jpg

Some older council estates from early 1900's in the neighbour city , Stralsberg which has grown together with Vandals Fjella today, the citydump for both of the city is in Stralsberg

Suburban_city8888.jpg the city landfill is   arround 2 kilometres northfrom the housing estates , that is why there is a sudden stop of development right outside the city centre of Stralsberg

Stadium_4.jpg

The local football stadium of Stralsberg is rather old and outdated ,it was built in the 1940's , and now it is getting rather intimate, there is a planned stadium at the other side of the city

suburban_skyline2222.jpg

And also Stralsberg also have a few highrises, there havent been built any new highrises since the 1970's though....

Well, thats all i have for now!

It looks very scandinavian. The mix of old and new buildings makes for a very realistic feeling. I like it.

Looks like an eastern block country. I think thats just the look you want though! I like the city center alot and the ped. overpass pn the road between the 2 buildings adds alot to that pic. I know you like plaza's so that church area is bound to be nice. Also cant wait for more ghetto suburbs!

hey again people, here's a small update...

hmm...lets start with a nighttime pic of the primarily 60's style dominated area ,Steinlia shall we?3.gif

    1circle_bot.jpg

    1downtownstralsberg.jpg

Well what do ya know....we're back in Stralsberg again, this time outside the central church in the city, built in 1342

Hmmm..lets go back to downtown Vandals fjella to buy a kebab or something3.gif on the way i'll show you some more of i3.gif

    1vandal_downtown.jpg

And as you can see some of the businesses are abandoned, some of the areas have been stagnating in the city centre lately, thus making the companies scared and moving to other parts of the city.especialy the area arround the embankment rail is getting worse through the years...

    1Mehelia.jpg

Aaand at the edge of the downtown,we have Mehelia, and as you can see the Mehelia tower stand here,it is tallest tower in Vandals Fjella, at it's 32 floors.

And as an end to this update3.gif

1Gasoltower.jpg a litle unreleased bat i havent released yet, and dont even bother asking! as i wont release3.gif Nah just kiddding3.gif

that BAT just blends in perfectly to your city

question i see that u are using props circular building and

have tried to use the overhanging corner pieces as well

I also have tried those and find they only look right from like

1 or 2 angles and from the other way they have these lines throught

them u know of anyway to fix that cause it is a great idea?

anyways the angles and BATs are all great, AK

Well Glenni... This is kinda weird you know... just because thos pictures are totally outstanding... It looks like a real city you know... And that cathedral which was built in 1256 is wonderful. Some people say "crap". I don't agree with them.. I say "Crap". And it is.. it truly is... 22.gif

So, be sure this CJ doesn't die so fast, and yes, a Regional Picture would be a great addition for the next update. 22.gif

    Regards,

    sloppet
