ThePeoplesPerson and cammo2003's maps just look so awesome to me because I can relate to the actual map designs.

Hmmm... ok, here goes nothing. 4.gif

I'm sorry about the picture quality, but click the link for a BIG map of eastern Lazarus. I will showcase it together at full quality with detailed maps of places of special interest in my CJ as soon as I can find a decent image host for big pics (suggestions are welcome!).

Click me (you know you want to!)

[And i hope that ShaddowAssasin will forgive me for "borrowing" his map style, but I just fell in love with it and couldn't stop myself. lol.]

I normally wouldn't advertise like this, but several of my maps are finished now and can be seen in my CJ. I don't want to double post them here too, since they are fairly big. Check it out if you want to.

Great maps, emilin, I was really blown away. I think you should post them here too, but whatever you want is fine. Anyway, great job.

And thebanjo, looks like you've got a great start on your map.

This is an unfinished map for a Japanese region I'm making. This is the downtown area, grey lines are rail services. The light blue is ferry services.

Wow, somebody please give me tips how to do those kind of maps, i've been planning to do my 5th CJ.. got bored with the first 4. But I wan't to get everything done, and just post pictures of it. If somebody could please PM me about this "map making" thing, and provide me the name of the software or even a PM tutorial would be great. That is if there's no trouble for you guys doing that.

Those Maps are really great! just great!

Nice maps, Benedict!  Very realistic and flowing!  ...Nuke City?  Sounds like my kind of town! 2.gif

mayorron: Check out this map-making tutorial by emilin on SC4Devotion...it'll tell you what you want to know.  As for software, if you don't have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, I'd recommend The GIMP for all your photo-editing needs.  The full version is totally free with no spyware or anything like that, but it's surprisingly powerful (just make sure you download and install that GNK Runtime Environment first, which is on the same page).  I'm in process of trying to make my own map thanks to emilin and The GIMP...

Thanks, Masochist. I enjoy trying to take a geographic representation of a transport network and turning into a schematic that could potentially be of use. And in Nuke City (a SC2000 city) I was desperately trying for the military nuclear missile facility, (lots of hills) but never did get it to grow...
