G' day all. So far I'm loving the new NAM but it seems I'm missing something for the rail viaduct . On straight pieces it looks like the elevated subway. On curves it has the brick textures. I tried reinstalling the NAM but something is still missing. Any thoughts?

Graphics/lag issues when building Subways
meks89 replied to meks89's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
That's what it was. I ended up removing the data view file from the NAM plugins folder. Problem solved. -
G'day all (or night). I'm having an issue when building subways. It seems to take a very long time to switch between underground and normal view modes. At fist I though it was a NAM issue. I first noticed it when I did the minor update. Since then though I have tried removing NAM, reinstalling the older version (june '09 I believe) but the problem still remains. I've included some pics to help illustrate the problem. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Two Shots from my city of Richmond.

Here's one from my Richmond Region. It's still growing but it's getting harder to develop the main city map. The burbs are coming along nicely though.

Here's a shot from a city I haven't played in awhile until recently. The city of Richmond.

Blade 2k5- Thanks it took me awhile to come up with that layout but it paid off as alot of sims travel through the city. Here's a night shot, same city.

Here's one of the region I'm currently working on.

Here's my attempt at a google style map. One question for JaneJacobs. How did you get your map so identical to a google map? Anyways enjoy! (note this is a work in progress as it is a little incomplete at the moment)

Hi all, quick question. My main city's population consists of mosty sims 50+. Is there any negative affect to that and if so how do I get the young sims back? Also I don't know if it's been mentioned but regarding wealth and commute times, aren't the wealthy R$$$ supposed to be the ones who travel the farthest? I mean the way U.S. cities are designed the wealthy usually don't live in the city. Examples: 1) NYC-wealthy people live around the city(long island, N.J., Upstate..etc) with the exception of those who live in the upscale districts. 2) Baltimore- Again the wealthy live in the downtown and upscale areas while rest of the wealthy live in the surrounding counties. The only reason I'm bringing this up now is because the wealthy in my current city is giving me a hard time. Even though my mass transit system is pretty good. Commute times are around 35min and more people use my M.T.S. than drive. Well just needed to vent alittle. Feel free answer the true question and comment on the second if you wish.
