Wow, this is very awesome!! Incredible. I wish I could do that kind of work! I am going to have to put it in one of my cities now... but which one...? 3.gif Or, errr, I will when it comes out. Good Job! Keep it up!

As for improvements, I think the textures on the base, the cross-hatched tan and gray, need a bit of work... they just don't fit in very well, I can't figure out whey, They just don't work. Other than that, I can't think of anythign to improve.

@skyfire, do you mean the color or the actaul texture? the texture is very similar to the original one, but i kinda changed the color to a warmer tone.

@ILL Tonkso:  yes, i will use the filter this time, i just learn about it from Simfox.

@vester_DK: that would actually look very nice, and it fit's his style.

Nice work, Dmscopio! they need to make you a sim trop zealot for all of this!

One more thing. I think you shoudl finnish that egg shaped stadium that you posted in the bat mistakes thread. That one just looks so cool...

@VDK, that is one kool looking museum, i love the organic looks, very furturistic. I think i will bat something like this in the future. Thanks for sharing, my friend.

@diablo_del_bano: thanks. whats a "sim trop zealot"? I think that stadium won't be finished in the near future...that is the last bat i did in gmax, which is bugy completly make me give up on it. I might rebat it and modify the design in Max in the future, but it is too early to talk about it now. anyway, thanks for the comment.

I mean both the colour and the texture itself. The colours seem too bright... just a bit and the lines on the textures seem too pronounced... They seem like they should be less noticeable. But this is just my opnion. 4.gif

Skyfire: what are you talking? What lines? Take a picture and point to those.

DMScopio: one tiny suggestion . Change you renderer window background from Black to some shade of grey/greyish-greenish color. This way it will be much easier to judge both brightness and saturation of colors. On black everything looks too bright. Plus strong contrast with black backdrop hides overly strong contrasts within the model itself and also masks oversaturated colors. Once you bring it into different environment you may discover that it doesn’t look the way you’ve intended...

These lines and these textures. I have circled the relevant area and pointed to them with arrows.

Hm... I see now, well see the lines, but still don't see them as overly bright. To my eye there look about right creating good additional contrast between sunny side where light shades pick up sun much better then darker ones and shadow there difference between two is much less noticeable.

But that is my personal opinion, and not a matter of any absolucy. Of not a FUCT – wonderful new word I saw on one of CJs here on simtropolis!

Been busy lately with school, so no real progress on the stadium....but thanks for the comments, everyone.

@Skyfire, those grids are caused by the specular level map, not the texture itself. It just give the texture a glossy surface. I can dime it down a bit and see how it turns out. But I think it looks fine...I will provide more pic later anyway.

@SimFox, I misread the F word at first, haha...what does it mean? thank for the feedbacks, my friend.

Hmm, sounds exactly like how a New Zealander would pronounce "FACT". 3.gif

(Note: No offence intended to NZ'ers! The relationship between New Zealanders and us Aussies is similar to that between the US and Canada, ie we love to josh about each other, when really we're best of mates.

It's been awhile since myy last update here. The good news is the SH stadium is finished. but the bad news is I was having some problem exporting. I will try to export it later this week. Meanwhile, another stadium is underconstruction.

It is a remake of the fail stadium I made ages ago. Some screen shots of the old one is posted in the "fail bat creation"  thread.  I  modified the model a bit so that it looks more realistic. more details to be added.
