Give the man a cigar!

WOW - WOW - WOW - and add another one WOW!

First off: The quality of your pics is simply outstanding, JAS! (did I say wow? no! then... WOW!)

Second: The presentation is so original with those transparent color overlays, and the whole thing is fresh! easy on the eye, how can I put it..... "brochuresque" would be a good word if it existed!

And a boulevard to my name! I'm honored! 43.gif

Love it man, I just love it!

Will follow!

Take care

-John

EDITED

And it seems that I have the privilege of turning the first page of the begining of this great CJ!

I agree...those pics are top notch. I particularly like the pic where you've changed the angle that we look down on the city, it gives new perspective.

Chocolatemax: Great to see ya dropping by. Thanks!

Weird: The Flag was made of my two favourite colours, which also represent the clash between the land and the ocean(green and blue). Thanks for the comment!

Sloppet: Thanks man. I hope its not bad. 18.gif

BerlinDude: I'll see what the Broken Home Real Estate Co. can find you in Ardmore. Thanks for dropping by!

Yoman: I guess I can't much more either other than thank you. 3.gif

Manman: The CBD is actually where the cluster of highrises will be. But it is a bit sporatic. Opinions are always welcome.

    Jacqulina: Thanks for dropping in.

GMT: It was terraformed, and thanks for leaving a comment.

SC4Noobie: Again, opinions are always welcomed and are much needed as well.  As for the pics, I just went under "Image" and hit "Mirror". Works well I see. Thanks!

Sanantonio: Thanks! I hope the presentation doesn't take away from the city building. 2.gif

Collgab: Gotta love the buttonize tool. Thanks for dropping by again.

Nonfactor: Indeed they will. Just getting the main city out of the way first. Thanks!

Yoder: Great to hear. The street names were actually Sloppets idea (see Anwakee County map) but getting others involved makes a CJ better. Thanks!

GaBoR: Lets hear it for spelling errors! Thanks for dropping in.

Darmok: I don't smoke. 3.gif I don't know about original, but they work wonderfully. I'm still much more focused on planning than graphics. I was actually inspired by Anduin Valley, which is an amazing CJ by the way. Thanks!

Yoder: I was afraid of using the mirror option again, but I see it worked out. Thanks!

GreekMan: Thanks for leaving a comment!

Sloppet: Great to see ya again!

    #1That looks pretty good!

    #2 Great placement!

    #3 Again, great placement!

#4 The park is gonna be on seperate levels? Strange. Never seen a park like that! Well, I do live in the Midwest.

#5 Man, that looks pretty ____ (fill in with any good word) cool!

#6 The trails go right along the highway.

#7 lol, I've nearly gotten kicked out of a museum for touching.

#8 That guy's got a nice view (backing up to a busy street)

#9 It actually is pretty cheap for that size.

#10 Put some private beaches on the shore.

#11 Wow. Thats a great view

#12 That plaza in the middle is so realistic.

    #13 Awsome!

This CJ is great! Waiting for an update!

Thought I should "entertain" you all with some shots of Merchants Point before my next big update:

And I think I started a new CJ series: Interestin Angles

InterestIn Angles: Interesting, artistic or just plain strange photos of Estancia.

    Anyways,

Sorry I haven't been here in a while. I like how you're naming everything after people on this site, and all the tall buildings and that port look very nice. I also like how you did the pics Google Earth style, and the overviews look good, too. I look forward to more!

Sorry to trouble you all, but Estancia will not be updated for a while. My laptop is going to be replaced due to some screen problems (thus Onlyplaces "purple line and all" quote) but Estancia and all the downloads will be saved on another computer. In the meantime, I am creating a map for Estancia city.

Sorry for the trouble. It will be back soon. 19.gif

39.gifGood news, the information has been moved off my laptop to the current computer I'm using. That means an update will be coming soon enough. My laptop on the other hand, probably won't be back for well over a week for repairs. The transportation map was left on that computer, so you won't be seeing it for while.

SC4 Noobie: Thanks for all the comments!

Yoman: Thanks for the, uh, monopoly money. 20.gif

    Yoman (2): Thanks (again).

    Jacqulina: Thanks for dropping by.

    Wynney: Great to hear. Thanks!

SC4 Noobie (2): I like to see my sims park in that, lol. Thanks!

Collgab: How could I not give you an avenue. Great to see you drop by.

Onlyplace: Lol, thanks. The purple line turned green, btw.

Cityhawk: Great to see you come by again. Thanks!

Fallon: The details are what really matter. Thanks.

    St Louis dude: Thanks!

Yoder: I guess I don't worry about that anymore. Great to see that you dropped in.

    Jacqulina (2): Thanks!

Having only looked at this page, I am very impressed. Great building selection, although I've not seen many of them in SC4 or on the STEX. The second picture is my favorite - simply because the buildings are so realistically placed; it looks authentically like a small American city.

Thanks fr naming a street for estancia for me! lol, you spelled my name wrong! It's SC4noobie...

#1 I like the way you have blended in the industrial with com midrises... It reminds me of an area undergoing redevelopment. Put in a few construction lots if this is the effect your going for 2.gif

#2 Overall, the way you have set up the entire scene is great! I really like it.

#3 I really like the way you set up downtown. The way the buildings are put in looks right.

#4 The way the skyscrapers look near the plaza is so realistic, and is the kind of look I want to go for in my cities!

#5 That scene reminds me of a picture from Chi on the northside. Without the hills and walls.

    #6 Great!

#7 Wow, that reminds me of some gentrification scences. Once again, put some construction lots in...

    #8 Great!

    #9 Wow great photoshopping!

    Great update! Waiting for more!

I would love to live in Estancia, it is so beautifully and lusly done. The only problem is, I'm not sure if I could afford it! I love the downtown area, very realistic!
