I wish we can make a thread here a Simtropolis where we can have this argument all the time! Anyways, when is the next update? I'm so eager to see it!

I know this should be in the request thread, but teemu_om is so talented that Raymond James in Tampa would be a cinch. I don't have the gift of such BAT craftsmanship so I can't really say how difficult it would be, but everyone wants stadiums from "up north," we southerners have some good stadiums too. sorry, im off my soapbox now. Excellent work nonetheless.

I dont know if it is possible, but I was wondering if you could do Wrigley Field in Chicago. That would be totally awesome. You're doing the work, so you can decide, it is just a suggestion.

Teemu: I just want to reiterate what Simfox said previously and pre-previously; I think the Toyota Center is amazing. Just the way the whole thing comes together, especially the work on the lobby lights. Also, you have become a source of inspiration. I can't imagine how someone, like yourself, has never been to one of these stadiums, and yet can still model them to such a high quality and accuracy. Very cool!

Another suggestion is Tiger Stadium in Detroit which unfortunately is about the meet the wrecking ball if a reuse plan is not found by October.....God, I hope they save it, however, the leadership in Detroit is a joke and consists of a bunch of clowns.

Hard to say. The exterior is about 25% done and I haven't started the interior yet, so there is not much to show at the moment. Also, I have no idea how problematic the huge size (about 21x17) is going to be when it comes to exporting. Let's hope it's going to work. I'd like to make more NFL stadiums.

well, If you cut down on the details a bit, it should work, and i dont think people would mind. I have a model of gilete stadium im working on, its full size, and i havnt noticed any problems yet. Also you could split the model up and export it in seperate peices.

I'm not really concerned about details, but just wondering if the size of the building will cause problems. The lods will have to be cut in at least two pieces, but I'm not going to split the model, because that would affect shadows, reflections etc.

That would be sweet.  There are several other beautiful NFL stadiums out there.  Same with every other sport in the world.

If I was going to make a baseball stadium (which I'm not because I'm not skilled enough) I think I'd do Wrigley, AT & T, Petco or Minute Maid. Most of the others (Well, I haven't seen much of Citizens Bank, so a possible exception there) are either very cookie cutterish, domed (hence no good view in game, like Chase or the Metrodome), or are probably on their way to the history books (RFK, Yankee, maybe Fenway).

For football... geesh, I dunno... none of them really jump out at me at all. Though the old LA Coliseum (which the Raiders used to use when they were in LA) would be kinda cool. Plus for all those Sim-lympics folks, since it was used as an olympic stadium twice.

If you still have paul brown on your computer, you could try scaling it down so its 85-90 percent to scale, and see if that works.

Man, how did you do this???? It looks like you adjusted the aperture somehow (making the corners look blurry)

Also, if you look at the right, the flagposts are leaning right, while the windows on the left side seem to be leaning left. I can't explain what it is, but you know I'm sure. How'd you do that?

Great job on the Toyota Center btw.

Oh!  How did I not see this before, this is simply amaing!  These renders are of industrial/professional quality!  Amazing! 44.gif

The blurriness can be achieved by a "depth of field" effect or by photoshop.  The difference of angles is because of the lense shape that was used in the render, also acheived by 3ds max.
Or at least this is how I would do it if I could acheive such amazing results.

Teemu-great work on reliant, and the start on "the rattlesnake" (arizonas stadium) looks great. any chance you could upload reliant to rapid share and link it on the front page for those of us having trouble installing?

I second that idea. That's actually why I stopped by - to see if you happened to upload it somewhere all in one piece.

While I'm sitting here watching college football, I'd like to suggest looking at some college football stadiums rather than only NFL ones. There are some pretty awesome ones out there...but I'm not going to be one of those fools that dumps stadium requests on you.

    You are absolutely right, sir.

I added links to the first post of this thread for those who have trouble with Reliant Stadium.
