Hi Everyone!

I was just wondering what the favourite countries of the world are and why.

I live in England and my favourite county is the USA because everything is ten steps ahead and 10 times bigger and better over there

Thank for your time!!4.gif17.gif

Hey, my favourite country is Singapore because it's not expensive to eat here, and it's so easy to get around by MRT and bus and taxi, and it's the safest and cleanest city in the world and it has so many Asian cultures. It also have the biggest and best malls. (at least compared to Saint Louis) After that, Japan. (but I don't speak Japanese)

For future reference, this should be in that Architecture, Urbanism, and Planning forum.

Anyway, I'll say the various Indian reservations in the United States. You can get your hands on all sorts of fireworks! 11.gif

Are you stereotyping? 2.gif

This gives them incentive to become rich people. 2.gif

Why do so many want to move to the USA? Because it's better (economically or politically) than where they came from.

Many are "poor" (not rich is probably a better term) relative to the American median income and cost of living, yes. Compared to the rest of the world, no. I live in one of the most economically depressed areas of the country. It is not bad here! Of course, it certainly helps to be a U.S. citizen!

I love any country that treats ALL its citizens equally, or at least I would if I knew of one.

Obviously I really like the USA, where I am now...but there are places I sentimentally like as well2.gif

Czechia, my favorite foreign country 36.gif

Croatia, Poland, Ukaine, Albania, Slovenia, and Estonia, while I'm at it 35.gif Anything Eastern European is a favorite of mine29.gif

Dubai for sheer coolness 40.gif

South Korea to represent East Asia, maybe in twenty years I'll be a fan of China as well 4.gif

Alaska has to be mentioned, even though they're part of the US 5.gif

Kenya's a great place 10.gif

Australia is nice 9.gif

Malta is mentionable on this esteemed list 49.gif

And of course Tokelau 17.gifCan't forget Tokelau! 18.gif

Since i live here i like the US....

Maybe you shoulda done "Whats your favorite country besides the one you live in"

After my home country i'd say the UK. Its just cool.

Japan would be second. I've always wanted to visit there. The culture both ancient modern is very interesting and even though its not really futuristic like dubai or hong kong tokyo just seems really awesome for being a modern city. Its so huge and has so many distinctive neighborhoods its not even funny.

Id love to vist. However, i would not want to live there for a few reasons even if i did speak the language...

Australia is 3rd for the fact that has some of  most unique enviroment and natural beauty anywhere yet its a developed and modern country. Most places that have what australia has are dirty and dangerous.

Many are "poor" (not rich is probably a better term) relative to the American median income and cost of living, yes. Compared to the rest of the world, no. exactly. Its not like we have lots of starving little children over here. There are homeless people and stuff like that, but i dont think we have one single shantytown anywhere. To be fair there are some very depressing small towns in appalachia and along the texas-mexico border but no mega urban squalor or anything.

South Korea!!!

wooo!! Dae Hun Min Gook!! Fighting!!

Obviously i love Korea because it is my home country. Wasn't born there but i still hold my Korean pride...

Born in Australia. It's a really nice place. why? because it's peaceful.

Too bad technology is lagging behind in Australia...In technology i mean mobile phones and such. Australia still had colourless phones when in Korea they already had megapixel camera phones with mp3 and stuff..but i still love Australia because it is very multicultural.

Switzerland, my home country. And regarding the capitalism, it's not worse than elsewhere in the western world in my opinion. Maybe the two large banks give the wrong impression (honestly speaking, these companies also give back quite a lot to our country...).

I guess every country has some downsides so it's difficult to really chose a favorite one besides of the one you live in. But I like the United States, despite of everything... it's a beautiful country with an intersting history.

He does. But IOWA is the home of SlipKnot.

As for myself, I would have to go with the USA (I love my country), UK (I've been there and it has wonderful people), Japan (Awesome everything there), and Germany (because I've been to Germany for my aunt and uncle).
