  1. A Cities Unlimited Wish List

My wish list for Cities Unlimited is very short. HIGHWAYS! This is something that has been on SC2000, 3000, and 4, but both Monte Cristo and Tilted Mill have overlooked, but its crucial to any city building game! This is what's keeping my from buying SimCity Societies (I don't think it has highways...)
  2. Favourite Countries

Hey, my favourite country is Singapore because it's not expensive to eat here, and it's so easy to get around by MRT and bus and taxi, and it's the safest and cleanest city in the world and it has so many Asian cultures. It also have the biggest and best malls. (at least compared to Saint Louis) After that, Japan. (but I don't speak Japanese)
  3. Nintendo DS

Yea, I see what you mean. I was intending to buy a DS all along until today (Christmas) when I got enough funds to get a PSP. Tomorrow I will buy one of the two.
  4. Nintendo DS

I need an honest opnion. What portable system should I get, PSP or NDS? PSPs have better graphics, but for all the games i wanted it costs $200 more. DSs have better platformers and have the touch screen. So which should I get? ** My computer is messed up. The answer lll should be Sony PSP **
  5. Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Yea, I just rented it. The game is pretty tight, but the total beginning of the game with all the flashbacks is really weird. But it is pretty cold.
  6. Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Well I probably will plan on buying it. NFS:Underground was a good game, but NFS:Hot Pursuit 2 was better to me despite the lack of good graphics, because it DID involve police chases. I have not played it yet, but what might be an issue with the game is putting exotics racers on the street with 90 degree turns. That was a major issue on Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, but MC3 wasn't that good of a game to me. Sooner or later, I probably will buy it.
  7. All of these ideas are good, but is EA really gonna notice this? You could send a petition to them to make a new SC. That would be cool.
  8. I actually created a post on here about that, but i don't think I submitted it right. But I have some ideas of my own about the next SimCity. 1) LAWS- Each region would have their own laws, roughly around 25-65, in addition to the ordinances already in the game. The laws would greatly affect the crime in the region. Each city would also have their own laws, but they could be only a little different from the region's laws. You could also choose the consequence level of you region. For example, a region like Singapore's level would be higher than the United States's because you can be caned in Singapore. Also there would be a region president which you could be in control of. Each city could propose a law to the president, which is you, and you would decide whether it would pass or not. And every once in a while, you could reelect your advisors, who would all have different primary concerns. For example, the public safety advisor's primary concern could be the protection of the public safety or the promotion of self defense. All matter would be addressed to you, but some would be more important to him than others. 2) STYLES- All of the public safety, education, and health civic buildings would have different styles, coordinating with the building styles put in the game. The styles would change every so many blocks, so that two completely different styles don't get mixed up in the same neighborhood. You wouldn't choose the style, the surrounding neighborhoods would. 3) DIFFERENT ROADS- There would be more kinds of roads in the game. In addition to the 6 already in the game, (road, street, 1 way roads, avenue, both highway systems) they would have boulevards (6 lanes across), and one way highways (3 lanes per way). If two 1 wqay highways are put parellel to each other, they would form a 6 or 12 lane mega highway (3 or 6 going one way). 4) MORE FINANCIAL POWER- In SimCity 4, you have limited financial power compared to what real countries can control. You should be able to tax all major imports which would change your city's economy. For example, the gas prices are extemely high in America, but they are such a big deal because America's transportation is based off of cars. In Singapore, gas isn't a big deal because a lot of people use the mass transit system. You should also be able to change toll booth fares, mass transit fares, sales tax, and other taxes and fares. 5) The side of the road that you drive on wouldn't be decided on where you buy your game, but which side you choose for your region. Well, here are my ideas. So, what do you think? Reply back please.
  9. SC4 Problems in SG

Thanks a lot. Either way would've worked, but i used vesterdk's advice and changed my direction of the road. It works now.
  10. Solution to the left/right driving issue

Wow, I feel real stupid right now. I never caught that. Well now my networks are driving on the left side, which is great.
  11. Solution to the left/right driving issue

There is a problem with my SC4. When I changed it to 13 and UKEnglish, when the advisors would come up, they will just have a bunch of symbols instead of real words. Is there some way that I can have english and left-hand driving? I also have the Singapore version of SC4. Does this make a difference?
  12. SC4 Problems in SG

Date: 7/19/2005 12:31:28 PM Author: cogeo Try this . This is not a mod to switch your driving direction every time though. Often networks need to be laid anew (demolish some old ones and lay them again). You may need to take a UDI mission (Free Drive) to see if everything works OK. I tried that mod in a new city, but they still keep driving on the right side. Is there a right to left mod? The link went to a left ro right mod, and i already have right.
  13. I have an idea. In a lot of my large medical centers, they get full, then i either have to build a clinic that they dont go to, or spend a fortune to build a new one. Can anyone create a medical center than can hold about 5,000?
  14. SC4 Problems in SG

I bought a copy of SimCity 4 Deluxe Ed. in Asia. Because I bought it in Singapore, I thought that it would be a left-handed version. Instead, it is a right-handed version, which is no big deal. Then, I downloaded an upgrade from simcity.ea.com which included avenue turning lanes, but they show the lanes for left-handed version. So now whenever I have 2 avenues in an intersection, it just lokks like a major screw-up. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  15. Elevated Rail Embankment 30 Final Version

When I try to build a street underpass, the cars wont go under it. They will treat is as a cul-de-sac and turn around. Is there anyway you can fix this?
