hey, could you send me the updated aircraft file you have there.. with the wing textures in place/ corrected?

also.. for the other painters... on the fuselage template... to give depth to the windows.... select the windows layer and add a bevel in the layers properties... and check the down option...

alright... did some more work on the AA paint... (I still have to get the engine and now nose template to you pilotdaryl) and got the nose looking right....  here is my method, if can be called that....

the balck outlined box is the texture template... I made the lines to give me a line up refrance on the model..

after lineing everything up.. here is the nose cone..

What fantastic work you guys are doing! May I make a suggestion? Air freight is an area that has been completely overlooked, and I'd love to add that dimension to my airport complex. UPS is considering ordering up to 10 Boeing 777 Freighters to compensate for a cancelled order of A-380 freighters and would be a great skin for this team to produce. Anyone's interest piqued?

mike_oxlong: The Boeing 777 freighter will most likely get into production sometime into the future after any passenger jets are released.  We'll see what we can do.

If anybody noticed, today (probably yesterday for you others), August 24--it is ace_bovenopdeberg's birthday and if you noticed I'm just about the only one that made a comment at the happy birthday thread.

Anyways, I have worked a lot on the Vietnam Airlines yesterday.  The tail section was especially hard.  I still have not finished the wings and engines, so no pictures yet.  I'll try to have some posted tomorrow morning.

Most of the cargo 777's that I have seen on www.airliners.net (great resource for painters by the way) are the ER model....or as you said.. the Airbus and 747

Just an FYI...I've progressed a bit more through the automatas I've created. I'm hoping that I'll have a bit more time to work on them through the week - I've been super busy with work and rls. What is definitely a time waster is how the fore and aft distort what I've made as perfect. Then, I have to go back and tweek it time and again to make it look right...ARGH!!!

BTW...that AA looks super! The metal should show up well in-game.

mike_oxlong: If the B772 model is finished, there wouldn't be any problem in making some B777F's. There'll be some changes on the template, such as adding the cargo door etc.

OK, finally I finished the templates of the airlines which own/ordered a B773.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make some nice renders, but here are previews to show you how the templates look on the model.

IMO, with some nice lighting, the V Australia and Air India liveries will looks nice.

supla007: WHOA--thats a whole lotta plane textures--you even made me another Philippine Airlines!!!  Although I can't believe I'm going to say this but--the tail does not look perfect...  Must be the first negative thing I said about supla's textures... and the text is blue (its black lol).  But this big collection looks pretty nice--I believe I'll be able to apply all these textures and skip to the rendering and lotting before the end of summer.

supla007, those paints are stunning... my favorite is the Cathay Pacific... they have such a great look for their planes..  simple but elagant...

I have to commend you though... thta EVA Air is stunning... and pretty spot on... I started to do one... that swosh... made my eyes go crossed trying to do it..

also.. I dont know if you guys know this... but if you go to the display tab in gmax.. and uncheck cameras... you can grab the thumbnail camera and move it around.. you cant move the render cameras...   thats how I was able to get the side shots and stuff...

you can change its properties like anything else.. just select it and go to second tab..  distance and all...

bourneid: lol--so you made another Alaska Airlines disney plane--that must've been a very complex livery--niiice!!!  Ill send you the fixed-wing templates and a 773-ER model as soon as I can get RL eased.  End of Summer--plenty of RLS for me to deal with.

seahawkfan: Yes--I don't think Alaska Airlines has any 777s or is planning to order some.  They will probably order one of the 772 models if they do.

supla007: lol--now the 773 pack is complete.  But I have a lot of textures to put down--I might be able to do them all by the end of summer but chances are release could be delayed sometime around October.  Around November or so, I will be leaving Canada to go to the Philippines (yes that means I'm going home ).  That also means I get to be riding an airplane!  Although I will be riding on the A340 not the 777.  Anyways, the textures are looking quite nice--the Philippine Airlines looks better but the tail is still somewhat inaccurate.  Looks like I'll have to use a combination of my tail, bourneid's wing and elevators and your fuselage, engine, and centre tank textures.  The final PAL 777 should look great.  The Star Alliance livery is creative--will you do an ACA Star Alliance livery?  And the other "ACA"--Air Catagena looks nice (and yes you'll have to change your ICAO callsign)

I'll have to work a lot on these textures tomorrow.  I'll try to set a goal of--10 or so liveries in one day.  I doubt I'll be hitting that though.

I think that nose needs a little work acctually, its far too smooth for a 777 nose, which has a slight resess for the*****pit, on your model though its just smooth to the tip. Very nice work otherwise though, and good texturing.

hey PD... could you try resaving the 300ER model and the updated 300 gmax scenes.... try as I might I can not get the ones you sent me to open correctly...  the origional scene opened and still does without issue.... but I am still having that TBcamera handle not found error on the other two files?
