See I'd Love to have the Option of A320's,737's,757's,MD-80's,747's,A340's,EMB-170's,EMB145's,CRJ-700's,Dash-8's all as props that I could plop like I've done with the Military Jets to make a more realistic Airport

as to the Backfire I'd Love to have that on some of my Tarmacs as Part of My Country uses Russian Aircraft

Voltire-Holy %#$@ That Aer Lingus is absoultly great looking I can't wait for the 747 release

Unfortunately Aer Lingus don't have any 747's 8.gif , or many Boeing's. They've changed most of their planes to Airbus

CraigKingOfIreland: You're right, Aer Lingus only operates Airbus aircraft nowadays.  But keep in mind that the plane shown is a 747-100 in an old livery.  Aer Lingus did operate 747-100s once.

    737-700:

I shortened the fueselage, tweaked the nose and added the tail elevators.

I also applied a temporaty texture so you get the idea2.gif:

Is it just me or is the tail elevators a little to far back? I'm not very firmiliar with the 737 so I dont know.

Ace: So it became a -700.  Niiicee!!!  However... is it just me, or is the tail nozzle missing?20.gif

Make sure to do a Westjet btw!!!

And that middle piece--that piece looks totally awesome!!!

Yoman3: Yes, the horizontal stabilizer is positioned like that.

That is simply incredible!!! I love love love the terminal

Just one thing. Is it possible to make the entrance to the terminal double height. so a departure roadway and an arrivals roadway. I don't know it that is possible but could u get the road ways above each other and then create a puzzle peice to be placed at the end to merge the two into one way roads at ground level? Lot to ask for but just a suggestion

those terminals are amazing!! bearmans, i totally understand what you're saying! you always see that departure and arrival are separated.. i hope it would be possible that someone will make it.. it would add more realism, again!

nice work ace, keep it up!

The 747-100 and 400 as well as the 737 are impressive! Couldn't wait to use them ingame.

Re. the terminal, I think you are trying to recreate the modern terminals constructed during the mid-90s and in/after 2000. If so, would it be better if you could get rid of the roof junk and use the curved/flat roof instead? Coz if you look at some modern terminals (eg HK Intl airport (the airport in my hometown), the new Bangkok airport, Paris CDG, Beijing, etc), building a smooth roof and putting away roof junk seems to be a feature of these modern terminals. Hope what I wrote above is intelligible, thanks!

See what you're saying kinmulder but I actually quite like the roof junk in this case.

Okay, I may contradict my last post here, so forgive me...

I have to agree with kinmulder... it looks like if we can't build those new terminals with little roof junk and smooth, curvy roofs. A bit disappointing... in my opinion, although the current progress still looks great. Sadly though, it does not look like if I can build a terminal that looks like Heathrow Terminal 5 or some other modern terminals.

Thorin -  could you remove you long linky in you post above (I already copied it elsewhere), as it messes up the text-allignment and boxes in IE46.gif

kinmulder, allan_kuan1992 - hmm, yes. I like roofjunk a lot, because the maxis view looks down on the roofs and it is important to have detail there

I would also like to say that I'm making a veriety of terminal pieces (see my previous post^^49.gif); so there will definately be ones without roofjunk. So...don't panic21.gif

@craig -- yes it's too bad they made the switch, I really liked the emerald scheme on a big twin-deck plane.

thanks canuck , filasimo, owen, daniel, & bearmans !

here's the third (hopefully final) version of the Virgin Atlantic 744, with some structural improvements ace made recently, and a remake of the fuselage skin. Better than ever, I'd say:

    vir744v3yellowtughj3.jpg

Due to RL squeezing my free time I can't set up a wide-open livery request thread as I had planned. So instead I'll post little games where the winner gets to pick an airline:

    Contest 1

Name six differences between our 747-100 (Aer Lingus) and 747-400 (Virgin Atlantic). First correct poster may name a real-world airline to be put in this pack. Read the hints first! One entry per person. Editing your post gets it disqualified -- check it over before submitting. Contest ends when someone guesses correctly or we release the pack.

    Hints

These are visible, mainly structural differences.

The vertical stabilizer and landing gear are the same on both aircraft.

The jetways and tugs don't count.

The livery/paint job (including wing & elevator panels) doesn't count.

    Good Luck!
