Hi RHF!
Sorry for posting so late but at my (former) workplace they forbid me to use internet for private and my private connection is quite slow ...
I am stuck at page 14 of your wonderful CJ, I hope I can come close to actuality right after my holiday!

Take care and watch out - since I am going to coming back!!! 38.gif2.gif9.gif

    Mike: Thanks dude!

    KOSC: I really don't know. I was also under the impression that no development could occur, but then I zoned along the diagonal streets and BAM! street vendors are popping up. I have no clue.

    Glenni: Ah...no biggie. Glad you liked the update!

    TMS: I really don't know how I did it...*shrugs* Glad you like the update!

    Darmok: Thanks. And I swear, I'm not some secret modder or something! It just happened! 29.gif Hey, it's not like I'm mad about it or anything...I love being able to grow stuff along them! Really adds plenty of realism!

    Deathtoall: Well, I think everyone knew, but in the official thread for the mod it was stated that because the diagonal streets used the ANT network, nothing could grow along them. Anyways, glad you like the farms, and I agree, Sandy Falls does look like a nice place to live!

    Nardo: Hey, not a problem. We've all had to deal with slow internet at one time or another. Good to see new faces around here anyhow, have a good time on your holiday!

    All: My internet is acting up on my SC4 computer (I'm typing this on my laptop) so the update for today may be postpoed a little while. Sandy Falls Pt. 4 is pretty much the same as part 3, but it's still nice to look at. And before I forget...

    WELCOME TO PAGE 30!!!!!

         I believe this is the 7th (7th?) CJ to reach 30 pages, behind SCR, Nexis, Edmonton, Anduin Valley, Ocean Point and Palm Point. Wow...7th biggest...that's pretty crazy!

    RHF - Wonderful couple of updates.  I really enjoyed the mix of agriculture and residential all situated along the river.  Looks incredible.  Have a great week.

    dhoppe: Hey! I wasn't aware that you could post while on your trip, so this was a pleasant surprise! Glad you like everything, coming from the Rural Master himself I always appreciate comments on the agriculture.

    FS: I didn't even know you had SC4 uninstalled, lol. But good to see all the wonderful custom content in my cities has inspired you to give SC4 another shot!

    Meister: Well, thanks! Those smileys always brighten my day!

    frndofyaweh: Yeah...I've never actually read the whole thing through, but I remember the first time I read Digby, it was 5 hours straight. My back was killing me the next morning...but it was worth it. Glad you like everything!

    All: My internet access was back by 4:00, but my new r7 Quad driver was begging for my attention...and I couldn't deny it, now could I? But hopefully I can get an update...well, up, by the end of the night.

    Well, I told you guys that the update might come tonight, lo and behold, an update appears on your computer screen!

    CHAPTER 38-SANDY FALLS PT. 4

         Well, here we are, back in that quaint rural town of Sandy Falls, now closing in on a not-so-quaint 4,000 residents. We're going to be looking at 2 areas: the beachfront expansion to the west...
    <ahttp://img302.imageshack.us/img302/5968/sandyfallssep212011211372002bv.jpg align=baseline>

         And the northeastern expansion, heading towards the riverbend just outside the city limits.
    <ahttp://img332.imageshack.us/img332/5426/sandyfallssep212011211372252gp.jpg align=baseline>

         Some new neighbourhoods have popped up, from suburban to Parisian to just plain trashy. This one off of Manley Street has been nicknamed Doctor's Gardens because no less than 8 of the homeowners here have doctors as part of the residence, from pathology to pediatrics and the rest.
    <ahttp://img301.imageshack.us/img301/1332/sandyfallssep212011211372827qv.jpg align=baseline>

         In the style of the other international neighbourhoods already established in Sandy Falls, Little Paris has a perfume vendor, chocolatiers, watchmakers, and lofts not unlike those you could find in St-Germain, although much less expensive. It's a lovely place to be, and the Francophone community is rejoicing over the addition.
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/4662/sandyfallssep212011211373464cy.jpg align=baseline>

         This lower-wealth neighbourhood, built on converted farmland, is not the nicest place to be, but due to an attractive location on the riverbed and low prices, the type of citizens residing in the area is expected to become much more wealthy.
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/5593/sandyfallssep212011211373788mo.jpg align=baseline>

         The last of the new neighbourhoods is also the largest, with a mix of all types of housing being located here. Although the area is low-density now, extensive urbanization is planned, although developers want to keep the Starbucks, because you can't stay up all night plotting without espresso in you!
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/8983/sandyfallssep212011211374295df.jpg align=baseline>

         Now we get to some new buildings that have been constructed recently. There's the Farmer's Co-op, looking very blue and fun:
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/3457/sandyfallssep212011211374505lt.jpg align=baseline>

         There's the Garden Centre, associated with mega-retailer Canadian Tire and managed by the aforementioned Miss Barby:
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/3349/sandyfallssep212011211374636bv.jpg align=baseline>
         U F-SFC, or the University of Falkland-Sandy Falls Campus, specializes in Agricultural Studies, Engine Mechanics, Cultivation Methods and Genetic Modification for Beautification Purposes. This comes in handy for the farming industry that's centered in Sandy Falls, Moon River and Pawtucket, who are all neighbours.
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/9483/sandyfallssep212011211374771bu.jpg align=baseline>

         Last but not least, the newly restored Sandy Falls Public Library on East Jackson Street is a 16th-century home converted into a library. The high traffic along Jackson, with Parker Street and Manley Street as one of the main arteries, provides easy access to the library, and high usage, which pleases the city educational council.
    <ahttp://img338.imageshack.us/img338/2752/sandyfallssep212011211375060nt.jpg align=baseline>

         Now, to close out the set, we'll take a look at some farms that may look familiar, but are actually totally different. Trust me, the fall harvest changes everything...tulips:
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/3724/sandyfallssep212011211375334gm.jpg align=baseline>

         Apples:
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/2980/sandyfallssep212011211375483ut.jpg align=baseline>

         Corn:
         <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/2406/sandyfallssep212011211375615sh.jpg align=baseline>

         And finally...the sort of anti-climactic riverside wheat farm. Oh well...
    <ahttp://img325.imageshack.us/img325/1575/sandyfallssep212011211375879ej.jpg align=baseline>

         That's all she wrote, folks. Next update soon enough, and thanks for all those wonderful comments! Hopefully we can get to 900 replies on this update!

    Deathtoall: Nah...I'm never going to get Best CJ. Sculpting Columbia River has got that locked up. Jeroni's masterwork has changed the way people play SC4, and LOAA can't say that it's done that, now can it? Anyways, thanks for commenting.

    i've said it once, and i'll say it again - i love these small town journals, and yours is one of the best, RadioHead. this is a very good showcase for STEX farms, too - everytime i look in here, i want to build more and more and more farms. keep up the great work.

    TMS: Wow, you think so? I don't know...anyways, thanks for all the support!

    Deathtoall: Well, it's up to you...thanks for the vote anyhow!

    jacqulina: Thanks.

    MrCinatit: Wow, thanks! Coming from a great CJer such as yourself, this praise really makes me feel nice. Glad you like all the farms, and thanks for unlurking yourself! 3.gif BTW, isn't the phrase whisper words of wisdom in your sig from Let It Be by the Beatles? Just wondering...

    newy2: Thanks! To answer your question, farms above the river have no less than 6 connections to neighbours, so freight trucks don't have it that bad. Glad you like everything, thanks for commenting!

    MrCinatit: Well, I'm hardly a man, but I do know my music well enough. The Beatles are right up there with Radiohead, Coldplay, The Smiths and Hot Hot Heat as being held in my highest musical regard.

    All: Update today, Sandy Falls Pt. 5, with a new addition: the terrific tar-sealed country streets. The farms are gonna sparkle! 29.gif
