Very nice region you have there. I take it you built in the terraformer rather than in god mode?

Here's another of my images:

Wow vershner, very very nice. I have to say the overall pic looks great. The only things I see wrong is you have to many differentiaion of the concrete plaza/park peices (I know part of the problems are due to the diagonal road (but I think theres a mod you can try that will fix that), & the round abouts), but I try the streets out for the roads just to help blend them into the round abouts. But truly I'm no stickler when to creativity I give you 9/10.

That's a lovely image. How is it put together though? Is it a single bat, or several pieced together?

This thread has become more active now. I guess that's good.

C0ckatoo-210893: Everything blends in nicely. The buildings look fantastic, the addition of fireworks was a good idea, heck, the whole night shot is just beautiful. 9/10.

LP: The rail system was done well. The roads aren't that bad either. You also have a good set of trees there. 8/10.

GreekMan: One of the simplest images that I've seen. Suburbs first, small commercial buildings in the middle, and the high-rises after. Good city layout. 7/10.

smstevenms: I'm not a big fan of region shots but that's a well-terraformed region. Nice water forms and a very detailed peak too. 8//10.

vershner: I've done something similar to that before, but yours is just very scenic. It makes the second bridge look very beautiful. 9/10.

masochist: Wow! Is that heaven? It sure looks like it. I wish I lived near a park like that. 9/10.

nice photoshopping, i like the skyscraper choices. the movie theater looks a little out of place in the middle of downtown though, theres also a lot of maxis. 8.569300 3.gif

im bad at urban/suburban transitions so i figure a mile long parking lot would do the trick 3.gif

ICC4ST-2.jpg

LP:  Nice photo effects although some of you're network just looks a little messy  7/10

GeekMan:  Nice looking town but that's really easy to do and no custom content  5/10

vershner:  Wow, I've never seen those waterfalls and that bridge used together so well  8/10

masochist:  Never seen that before! Great use of some of those garden pieces  9/10

Deever:  Pretty good but I think you have done better. I'd swap around those buildings or something, it just looks a bit off  7.5/10

patriots_1228:  Wow, that stadium looks great. I like those coloured palms too but the surrounding city looks average  8/10

EDIT: Sorry Smstevensims, didn't see you're image. You get a 5/10, looks un-realistic sorry.

GreekMan- It isn't a realistic downtown, nor is it very apealing. Hrm, I'm just not sure. The effort seems to be there, but I think after how long you've been around you could do better. 5/10

smstevenms- If thats done by hand, its quite good. No quality to the picture though... which is really what is suposed to be rated here. 6/10 for the handiwork

vershner- Interesting use of everything. The waterfall textures are way too stretched out and those buildings aren't suited to the area. 7.5/10

masochist- There are a FEW too many of the ponds, but a very neat idea and well done. 8.5/10

Deever- Editing is nice, layout seems nice, bit empty though, too much height variation. 8.5/10

patriots- ...woah... awesome job highlighting the beautiful stadium BAT. 9/10

Cokatoo- Dude, just stop it... you're making us all look bad. Nightlighting, layout... 0/10 because you suck. 3.gif (10/10)

I think I'll repost this. Don't have to rate, I just want to know if my fixes made a diference.

*****atoo: now thanks and I am starting a Cj so custom content will come later

LP I kind of have to disagree with you. It sort of fits in with the region I am working with and I didn't want to make a crowded downtown area

now you joing in 05 if you saw Eureka's downtown(it was a cj) i'm kind of aming toward it

Well... you have mansions next to midrises next to towers next to single families. Theres not much order, and the grid is small and not really nesicary for such a small downtown. This thread is for rating the picture and the work within it, I just don't find either one very special or interesting. I hope you know this is nothing personal... just my opinion. I give each picture a good bit of my time and come up with an apropriate response. But eh...

Hey, incase you guys didn't see it because it was the last post on the other page, I re-posted the shot I took before, but after I made some changes.

vershner, I forgot, yea that was created using the terraformer.

Deever, I like the lighting, the photoshoping (why didn't I think of that), and even though you have some tall buildings it looks open. I think the park at the top helps.

patriots_1228, can't see pic

C0ckatoo-210893, not sure why you can't see image others can (I can). How come you rated and couldn't see, & you even said unrealistic?? As far as your pic, very nice I like the way the building curve together & and the construction lots are a nice touch. The parks are very well done, they add a bit of space giving the effect that the buildings are much larger. 9/10

LP, yes that image was done by hand using the terraformer. I personally like more flat areas, and I've already re-did this region so that's why its bare. As to your re-post, it was fine to me before but I'd like to know where is that oneway road, that dead-ends, is connected to? How do they return?

Its freight, it goes to the station and then out of the city, no need for a return. 3.gif

So C0ckatoo-210893 since you seen it do you like?

El Burro, the overall pic is nice, busy industrial area, architecturally it looks life like. I believe you meant to make the surrounding of the image fuzzy, I think it deminishes the quality. 7.7/10

Keep in mind this is NOT COMPLETE! But I thought I give a little something. As I said before I'm starting fresh so I don't have anything that's completed yet. Any pointers are welcomed.

El Burro - Great image! I particularly like the smoke from the chimneys, it's much better than the default smoke. Is that a mod or did you photoshop it in afterwards? I have to agree with smstevenms about the blurring though, it doesn't seem to be very consistent. Blurring the tops of the towers in the bottom right looks good, because they would be much closer, but blurring the low-rise stuff in the lower middle doesn't look right. Overall - 8/10.

smstevenms - Interesting layout, nice start. The only pointer I'd give is that from a realism point of view the extra bits of canal over the highway tunnel should not be there. In real life you'd want the tunnel going under the thinnest section of canal. Also, the avenue going under the highway looks a bit awkward and too steep. Why not go over the highway?

The canal was made wide for looks, but I will change that considering the non-realism of it. I was only thinking with the creative side at that moment.

The avenue under the highway was intentional, but the steepness is not. That is something that's still "under construction" forgive the delays. Progress is slow but underway.

Here's one for you.

Literally took me all day lotting this. And then i put all the cycledogg ministreet textures on a 1x1 lot, which i then i had to piece together...  oh joy...

Anyway, a common sight among Norwegian countryroads. Bottleneck areas of the road, where it hasn't been upgraded to two lane nor wide enough to have stripes. no sidewalk either, that's what the road is for, mixed use.2.gif
