ahhh dude I see a lamborghini in that parking lot...thats mine for sure...as for the pic 112233 is correct needs a little more to it and I don't like the change in the sidewalks for different wealth levels...hidden inside the bowels of ST is a mod that will make all the sidewalks the same, made by Jeronij...Ill find a link if you wish...pic 7.5/10

Slums make me feel warm and fuzzy inside...wait I live in florida(warm) and have slippers(fuzzy) on. Never mind.

But seriously I want to know where you got the drainage thingy, and if you wanted to improve it i suggest using that new thing on the STEX that makes garbage appear, i use it in my slumiest slums

Cjah - The raw sewage seeping through the ditches adds to the - uh - ghettoness of the picture.  8.0/10

Thorin  - Looks like a picturesque European city.  Good use of retaining walls - 8.4/10

Ill Tonkso - I don't care much for elevated highways, but I like how you have managed to get so much traffic onto your highway - 7.0/10

ilikehotdogsalot - Although a skyscraper forest, I really like the Photoshop work and the color scheme of the nightlights - 7.6/10

112233: Looking good there. You should try downloading some new BATs. I think that would really help make your cities better. 4.gif 7/10 Check out this old photo I found lying around: 1960rh4.jpg

112233- I know Jpegs are crappy but could you please make them Jpegs in future... pgn files take sooooooooo long to load. The pics only half loaded but It looks alright imo. 7.5/10

Mulefisk- Awesome stuff, love the shopping... whats that building at the bottom... its very grey and forboding 1960's concrete, i'd love to put in my CJ sometime, heh. 9/10

Thesixcents- Wow, very colourful... abit too colourful for my tastes but I won't hold that against you. Looks more Spanish/Latin America than Islamic/Middle Eastern... can't hold that against you either though coz theres not much, if any, Islamic BATS kicking around on the STEX. Its wonderful anyway 9/10

    Minez! ...yet again

old_photo.jpgTaken after the Balkyan Civil war... I acctually looked at this pic after all the shopping and thought "Looks like Nam"... lol

TheSixCents: Great job! Nice colors. I also like how you kinda flattened the image. Gives it a unique look. The only downside is that some of the buildings you've used are abit out of place. (Those 2 new york apartments). 8/10 El Burro: Sweet! Great theme as well. Never been to Balkan, but it looks believeable. 3.gif9/10 That building is by garyreggae. Just search on the STEX. Cjah: 10/10 because it looks great, but 5/10 because you just took a picture of a BAT. 112233: Cool! I like the lots you've chosen to use for that port. To make it even more realistic you should try to make it all more flat. 7/10 I also found this old postcard with the other picture: waterfall2qf7.jpg

Mulefisk, 10/10 I love the look of that pic, the waterfall looks really nice, is that one of the plopable ones, or did you "enhance" it using photoshop afterwards?

112233-Kind of bland and lacking life, there are only three cars on the road. >_> The buildings don't seem to fit together either.

    7/10

Mulefisk-I like the effect as well as the rotation. It looks a little strange though, are the buildings in the back on lower ground?

    8/10

TheSixCents-Very nice image, I especially love the bright colors and tropical feel. The only thing detracting from it is that one brown building and few of the bare wall-to-wall buildings that just have flat textures for sides.

    8.5/10

El Burro-I like the torn edges and the grungy effect, the image itself is spectacular. The canals and plaza leading up to the Reichstag look excellent and have a nice, symmetrical layout.

    9/10

Cjah-Where did you get such a nice stadium? The part you chose to zoom in on produces a nice effect, I like the lack of ugly looking Sims crowding the stands. 3.gif

    8/10

Mulefisk #2-Another wonderful effect, the torn edges are done perfectly. Not only that, but the images is beautiful, especially the two bridges and the waterfall. Though I'm not sure what those white highway walls are doing there.

    9.5/10

And now my contribution after quite some time...

...And this is me, back again to review 8 photos on this page, as per my usual way of rating (starting from the top):

Mulefisk: Nice picture!  I love the interesting choices of buildings, and how there's not too much repetition.  The way the road comes up along side that building like that gives me mixed feelings: I like it because I like it when roads leave ground level, but I don't like it because it looks wierd cutting the third story windows in half like that .  Yet still, I really like the building next to it...aiya!  Not sure what I like, I guess.  The photoshopping is awesome, not too dark.  Great pic! 8.75/10

TheSixCents: Very bright and colorful pic (especially after Mulefisk's...no offense...)!  Great job on that plaza, that's very good!  I like the buildings surrounding it, but they get kind of repetative.  Also, the ones that have steps leading up to them look out of place...why are they so special, you know?  But there are some very interesting buildings in this pic...like that short tower on the right hand side of the picture (in the middle of the walkway leading up to the plaza), and that blue building next to it.  I like how they subtley add to the picture.  Nice!  8.25/10

El Burro: Another well done grainy 1960's picture I'm reviewing!  That's an awesome, awesome plaza you have there, and that avenue crossing the waterways is very interesting, but I understand why you did it.  What is that supposed to be on the right...an explosion crater?  I can't really tell...the picture's kinda dark.  Still an excellent picture!  8.25/10

Cjah: Funniest thing, this is probably one of simplist pictures I've ever seen in this thread, and yet it's so different.  Great choice to do a close up on, although I wish there were more going on the picture, like people (although I don't know if that's possible...).  Cool pic! 8.75/10

112233:  I don't know too much about seaports, so I don't know if I can give this picture a fair rating.  I like that smokestack in the middle...it gives the picture a focus point.  But the port seems kinda small...and I don't know if the containers would be across the street from the port itself.  Also, that road junction seems weird.  Still, it's a seaport, and I don't know why, but seaports always get an extra boost in the eye-candy department for me.  Either way, I'd say 6.75/10.  Oh, and as for a free photoshop, I personally would recommend the GNU Image Manipulation Program, or the GIMP.  It's not Photoshop brand, per se, but it's totally free with no spyware, and it's surprisingly powerful.  Here's the link for you:

    http://www.download.com/The-GIMP/3000-2192_4-10526419.html?tag=lst-0-1

If you decide to get it, make sure you download and install the GNK Runtime Environment first (which can be found on the same page a little further down).

Mulefisk (again): Wow, nice waterfall!  And the bridges over it must make for a breathtaking view!  I like how the postcard looks old and ripped and torn...great job!  9.25/10

Dark_Jedi06: Nice airport!  I like the sharpness of the picture, but there doesn't seem to be a focal point of it...and the tanks in the middle of the taxiway kind of look out of place right there.  I wish I could see more of it, it seems like the best part of the airport is just off picture! 8.0/10

112233 (again): This picture I really like!  I guess you don't need the Photoshopping program anymore, but I just left the link in case anyone else wants it.  Anyways, I really like the tropical feel to the area, and for some reason, I really like how that Mexican tower comes out of nowhere.  It just seems like it would do that in a city like that.  But as blasphemous as this is for me to say, I think the Bank of China Tower looks out of place here.  It seems too massive, and the architecture's different from everything around it.  And I wish you could've gotten the top of that Club ATOM Blue there, just so that we're not left with this pole that goes off the top of the picture, you know?  I really like this area of your town, it looks really cool!  8.5/10

Whew!  That took a while.  Seems that that grainy filter has become quite popular: 4 out of the 8 pictures I rated had it!  I tried to explain myself as best I could, but if anyone has any questions on the ratings I gave, please feel free to ask me...just as long as you keep in mind that it's only the opinion of one guy (and that that one guy has only posted two pictures in this entire thread), so it shouldn't mean that much.  But I do watch this thread more than any other on ST, so please keep up all the great work!
