A very handsome and detailed CJ. The back-story is very convincing. I like the use of the fences and the canals. It always starts with a project for the public good that sets the bureaucratic ball rolling. The tension in the story is phenomenal. Your unique BATs and lots make your CJ a cut above the rest. Keep up the great work.

-Dan

I am happy. Are you?

Sorry everyone, no updates yet. Family in town for holiday. Just wanted to give you this satellite photo of the new agricultural development in Brush Neck Delta. This was taken by the Chancellor's Provincial Intelligence Department.

Any one have a guess what the Chancellor is up to?

Well, that was a long 5 day weekend with lots of family time and no SC4. Now its back to work and back to my CJ.

Here is another satellite shot taken for the Chancellor of the Brush Neck Delta agricultural development:

    morefarming.jpg

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who commented on my last update! I really appreciate all your kind words. I promise to have an update very soon!

    Now for some personal replies:

cityhawk - You are far too generous with your praise! Really, I must thank you – it really made my day. I certainly think Dale is in a little bit of denial. But we will have to see what happens next once he finds out his mom has finally arrived. Is he going to get what he wanted? Will his family be reunited? I have never thought of this stuff for a book but I admit that I have begun writing other stories at different times. I feel more like I have all of these story lines in my head but I just don’t have the motivation to put it all down on paper. Maybe one day. My dad has written a couple of novels that he is trying to get published so maybe its’ genetic. As for the rest, thanks again so much for your kind words. I am so glad you liked the pics!

Battlecat - Hehe, yes, always off to a slow start and then things really get rolling – that’s the way I like it. And yes, the large regional medical facility is rather odd, I mean, there is only like 5 or 6 thousand people in the entire region so far and they are not even all connected by road or rail. Most places just have small homesteads with a few families and a couple of farms but nothing more. The Empire is definitely trying to unite the region and the rail line and the medical center are part of that plan no doubt. Thanks for reading and thanks for the comment!

Anarchy – Nice to see you in Mystic County again and thanks for the comment! I do enjoy lot editing as I am rubbish when it comes to modeling. I enjoy arranging everything in unique combinations a lot more. I am working on some more lots now and hope to reveal those soon.

Tracker – Thanks for visiting and thanks for the nice comment. I do really love rural CJ’s and I am having lots of fun putting this one together in as realistic a way as I can and still develop my story. Hope to see you again!

Yoman3 – Thanks for the kind words, my friend! (Glad you survived the storm!) I am really glad you are enjoying the story and the pics. I hope to have an update really soon!

jacqulina – Thanks so much for stopping by Mystic County again. I really appreciate your lovely comment. I am glad that you are enjoying my CJ and the pics. See you again soon!

mightygoose – Thanks for commenting! It is great to see you here and I am so glad you liked the update!

jglei701 – Thank you for the very kind words. It have been unable to update with my family here and the holiday so hopefully I will have an update by the time you get back!

Darmok – Thank so much for your generous comment. I am glad that you are enjoying the story and I am very glad that you like the fishing cooperative area. When I started this project those were some of the very first lots I put together after the rural R$ housing lots. I really wanted to have a story that took place along the water, that had an interesting coastline, and that made use of that coastline as an essential resource, not only for transportation and shipping but also as a natural supplier of food. Ergo, the fishing lots you see there. I am working on quite a few others but not having much luck getting them to work with the coast as I would like so it may be a bit longer before I can show those. In any case, thank you again so much. I appreciate your words more than I can say.

GMT – Thank you so much for beautiful comment. I am really glad you like the mosaic and happy that you think the region is scenic. That is certainly something I have been aiming for. I wanted to show the naturally beauty of a place and work the human development into that beauty. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you here again soon!

SpecialEddie – So nice to see you here in Mystic County again! I am really glad you like the story and all the custom lots I have arranged. I have definitely put a lot of work into them – I have spent far more time in the last month arranging the lots than I have playing – probably, 5 to 1 I would say. In any case, thank you for the really nice comment!

luker91 – Great to see you here in Mystic County! Thanks for the kind words. I agree – I definitely like big updates when I can do them. I just worry sometimes that it makes things to slow on some people’s computers. I am also glad you liked the farms – I actually spent hours making the farms look that way. I thought it was going to be a rather simple task but it turned out to be much hard than it looks to get them to follow the curve of the river like that. I was going for a very natural looking development along the river, like you see in places along the Mississippi and other rivers with heavy agricultural development. I did think all the time it took was worthy the effort though so I am very glad to hear that you liked it. Hope to see you again!

CDI_spy – So nice to see you back here in Mystic County! Thank you so much for you comment and I am really happy to hear that you are enjoying my story. I am having lots of fun writing it and creating the entire world of these people. Come visit again soon!

mtbrocket – Welcome to Mystic County! I am very glad to hear that you like the story – I never know how many people are reading. With so many CJ’s out there I don’t expect a lot of people to have the time to slug through my prose. So to find someone reading and commenting on it makes me very happy indeed. I am glad that you picked up on the fact that people’s good intensions for society are often the cause of very bad things. Its what I like to think of as ‘benign evil’ – the kind that creeps up on you, not from some wicked person plotting and scheming and colluding, but from ordinary people who really mean no harm. Its what Hannah Arendt thought of as one of the worst kinds of evil. In any case, thanks again for your kind words. Hope to stop by again!

sloppet – Glad you found the time to come by! LOL! I’m not sure if you are referring to the pics or the story or what but thanks for commenting!

KT3 – Thanks so much for your kind words! I am really glad you like the story  and so happy you like the pics as well. Thanks for commenting. Come visit Mystic County again!

sorchin – Glad you like the farming development – I am having lots of fun arranging and developing everything. Thanks for commenting!

halo_lover – Thanks for the lovely comment. I am happy that you think it is different as I have been trying to provide a CJ that is unique and interesting. It is so hard to do here as there are so many incredibly creative CJ’s. I often feel like there is nothing unique left to do! I am glad you are enjoying the story. I will update very soon! Hope to see you again.

cowcorn – Thanks for visiting and thanks for nice comment. I would be very happy if some of my pics inspired you. Feel free to copy whatever you want – I would be honored.

ThePeoplesPerson – So nice to see you here again! I am really happy that you enjoyed the update and particularly glad that you like the fishing docks area. I had lots of fun making that so I am really glad that you think it looks realistic. I had so many wonderful BATs and props to work with. More is on the way!

Kayean_Henser – Don’t hold your breath for too long! Haha! But seriously, thanks for commenting and thanks for visiting Mystic County! The drama will continue shortly I promise.

aleko – Welcome to Mystic County, it so nice to see you here! I am glad you like the region and I really appreciate your comment. Some times it does require a lot of patience because things don’t always work or look the way you want them to. Its lots of back and forth between the LotEditor and SC. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you visit again soon!

That’s all for now folks. Until next time!

Last time I came by was on the 23rd of May (shame on you Rayden, how could you have lost track of this CJ, ( Rayden violent-smiley-100.gif kant01 ), since that you came a long way, and let me tell you, what a CJ, very neat and well planned, and lots of time spent on it for sure.

I wish I could use the LE like you do, great work my friend, really amazing. 4.gif

Hee Kant, I just read your CJ from the start and I am thrilled by the beautiful pictures and fascinated by the story (normaly I only look at the pics). That big hospital is really suspicious, as if they expect a lot of injuries. Hmmm, will have to subscribe to this CJ to find out.

Ok, time for more personal replies:

gurrgkud - hey! So nice to see you in Mystic County! I thought you had gone from ST so it if very nice to welcome you to my latest CJ. Thanks so much for commenting and thanks so much for reading! I am really glad you like it. I hope to see you here again soon!

Fabiocb - Glad to see you again in Mystic County! Thanks so much for your kind words. I do spend a lot of time on little details. That is part of what I love about SC4 so much that it gives you that freedom. I am also glad you like the harbors and streams. Those are some of my favorite parts. Thanks for commenting!

Yoman3 - Hmmm...zombies, that could me interesting. I will have to keep that in mind. lol Maybe just killing everyone would be better. Just have to wait and see. Thanks for stopping by my friend!

officer - Greetings from Mystic County! Nice of you to visit and leave such a nice comment. I am glad you like the story. I do enjoy spinning a good yard and its nice to see that other people are reading along. More is coming soon so I hope you stop by again!

Rayden - lol No worries, my friend, it is glad to see you here. Things have certainly been developing since then and I am very happy to hear that you like what I have done. I have definitely spent lots of time and believe me the LE can be very frustrating. Thank you for your kind words.

raindog - Welcome to Mystic County! I am really glad to hear that you read the entire thing. It really pleases me and makes it all worth it to find someone who appreciates all the hard work that I have put into this. The hospital is certainly suspicious, but we won’t find out what’s going to happen to that just yet. But more is on its way so stay tuned!

Ok, I am going to have a special update in just a minute!

    And now a special update

    Interlude # 1

From the personal diaries of Rufus Delacroix:

    May 8, year ‘60

My father has an old collection of contraband literature and poetry from authors long ago forgotten. Several empires ago any literature from before the Empire was formed was banned and most of it burned. Some of it was of course preserved in personal collections. Some of those people who were discovered to own such literature were put to death. Thus far, the current Chancellor has not pursed any witch hunts like the last Chancellor did trying to find and eradicate such banned books.

In any case, I was going through one of my dad’s collections and came across the following poem. I think it was written by an author from a country hundreds of years ago that no longer exists. I liked the poem so much I thought I would copy it into my journal.

That's all for now! I will have the next update coming soon and a continuation of the story! Thanks for commenting!

Another beautiful update Kant! I don't think I've ever seen anyone capture the era you're working in so well. Those mansions look absolutely amazing, did you make them in the LE? Finally I love the 3rd pic of the small community there, looks very realistic.

6.gif, you're farms, residential areas etc are works of art. Very nice poem to go along with the pictures aswell. All this - and the CJ's title - give it that certain essense that make's this Journal something to be truly admired - brilliant work!!

This is like a masterful painting of sorts. SC4 is the artist, buildings the colors, and Mystic County the canvas.

Ahh...so refreshing. I could imagine myself being here very easily.

I'm sorry to say that I hate poems, mostly because you have to look at them really hard for a long time to understand what message that is being conveyed (well, that's me anyway). However, your community with its dirt roads, stone walls, nice houses, etc. looks really great and realistic. Might I also mention that your LEing skills are amazing! I would also like to know where you got those stone walls. Anyway, great update, and I can't wait for more!

After admiring, looking and reading, what's left to say....

I'll say what everyone say after the curtains is closing after a memorable performance by a virtuoso...

    Bravo, encore!

Man, this update.... no strike that, this experience, was moving, really..... it's been a long time since something surprised me that much here in Simtrop....

This choice of poem and the quality of your pics makes this a gem in the CJ pages!

I'm saving this page and keeping it! (with your permission)

    Thanks for this Kant.
