Thanks for the comments 4.gif

South of Midgar (the above city) is Junon. Because Midgar has so few rich from a high R$$$ tax rate, this smaller city is nearly half R$$$. I need to download some RCI growables to add diversity 15.gif As well as more of evverything from this site 4.gif Each of the five levels has five subway stations, each with independant lines to the other levels without any line cross-overs. I had some difficulty in making it- both in figuring hwo to draw the subways so they don't interccross, and having to space the stations so that they are not adjacent, so that trains don't jump tracks. I need to duplicate the system on the other side of the city's central structure. This is the look I'm trying to get in Midgar but it is more difficult with that city because of the circle walls and all the diagonal angles.

Here's a plan view of the city. I'll bet those workers in the buildings on the raised peninsula thing don't like planes buzzing past their windows all day, but at least they have a nice view

junoncircuit6uo.th.jpg

This is a view of the trans network called "The Circuit." Surrounding the stations are ped malls and bus stations. There's 10 independant sub lines

This view shows the sub traffic and some of the routes.

aminom, that first city pic blew my mind away! That cliff is awesome... If that city were real, I wouldn't mind taking a vacation there.

Great idea, I saw some estonishing Skylines here...

this is one of mine, 'Sanctopolis', a big city, but not a very big skyline:

And this is a very very skyscraped skyline, the skyline of 'Liberty City':

I really like the way you've done the roads & highways here, CityHawk.

I don't have anything to contribute just yet--just picked up SC4 and it's been years since I played SC.  I do like the prospect of all the mods--looks like some cool stuff here.

Now to balance this with time at my job, taking care of the house, and playing FFXI (though I may quit that completely if Treasures of Aht Urghan doesn't add some compelling endgame content).

The thread is for skyscraper districts, not skyscrapers, so that's what I posted. Someday there will be skyscrapers there.

Point taken! 22.gif

First: Great pictures everybody!

Well, I'd love to post a picture but unfortunaly I don't have any skyscrapers. I never had any. And believe me, I got the game since it was out.

I think I'm doing something wrong..... *scraches head*

Here is some pics of my best cith called Northville Shores. The City is mosly all a skyscraper district and it has a pop. of 108,000 and somthing

    northvilleshoresoverallnightgf.jpg

one of my favorite things about the city is that there is absolutly no suburbs so the whole city is condensed together.

here is closer picture of Downtown Northville Shores.

wouanagaine I gotta say, just love your postcards of your city.

My favourite city thus far of my own would have to be my city of Locke Harbour South (apart of my super city of Locke Harbour City State).  The downtown core is relatively simple, yet rather sweet to look at in my opinion:

    Maximum image size is 800 x 600 - MM

Included in this post is also a lower resolution shot of my region Locke Harbour City State:

A higher resolution shot of my region:

    lockeharbourcitystate114596624.th.jpg

A higher resolution shot of my region with the transportational map shown instead of the satellite view:

    lockeharbourcitystate114596708.th.jpg

Also I figured I would include the downtown core of my largest city (built on a medium map).  I would call it more of a neighbourhood to be honest however at 668,000+ on a medium map maybe city is the right word for it.  Either way it is massive with only 3 additions to that were not simple residential or commercial zoning (the 3 large gold buildings):

Wow, some of these downtowns are just massive!!  For my CBD I was going for a smaller but much more pronounced district (especially in the regional view).
