I just started my first city in 3 years, so it's in its very early stages.

Image deleted due to being oversized.  Please keep all images 800x600 or less.

I am unable to take a photo of my skyskraper district, due to a fatal error. I will try to post it soon. It will completly knock your socks off!! And MayorTim, if you like tall buildings, you should get the NDEX PanPacific Building, it is really really tall, taller than the Empire State Building.

The thread is for skyscraper districts, not skyscrapers, so that's what I posted. Someday there will be skyscrapers there.

Here are my two pics of skyscrapers:

    1. This is where I tested my avenue tunnel under all the skyscrapers back when I first downloaded the tools needed to do so:

    2. This is the junction of two sunken highways that run through the dense parts of town:

Can you count how many Aramark buildings there are in the 2nd pic?!22.gif I see 7!

Here are three of the same Downtown pics from one of my bigger cities in my CJ *Nexis of Genesis*. This used to be the Capitol-city of the region ,named Gloryville, and the pictures were taken 50 years ago. (in my story that is)

    mainpeninsula1ou.jpg

The main peninsula of Azaeus City. It contains the CBD, two sports and entertainment districts, and the Millenium Center.

    capitolpembrookeandpiedmont9qj.jpg

The old west end. Contains the Capitol District, the Old Wharf District (where the skyscrapers currently are), Pembrooke, the boheian neighborhood southwest of Old Wharf, and Peidmont Heights, the mainly residential neighborhood north of Old Wharf and east and south of the park.

@yarabundi: you should consider converting your pngs to jpg - those pngs are just too big! Choose a compression rate between 60 and 75% IMHO that's the best compromise between quality and size"!

One of the reason (the main reason most likley) why I called my Cj "mostly rural":

yarabundi, I can see them, but like nardo said, they really should be jpg's, not png's.

this city is part of a region I am making with some unusual transportation infrastructures and zone superstructures. the region is heavy on medium density. This city is still under construction. When finished, the core is going to have 4 central final-stage towers, surrounded by other c and r towers, and the walls of the city will be completed with the texturing, to be made to look liek they are made of solid concrete and steel rather than dirt embankments.
